1 Esther Treanor Memorial Feis The Patrician Hall, Carrickmore 22nd and 23rd September 2018 Adjudicators: Ms. Nuala Keogh Dunne, Dublin Ms. Catherine Maher, Dublin Musician: Mr. Kevin Conway, Omagh Rules & Regulations of the Esther Treanor Memorial Open Feis 1. This feis is run under the rules of An Comhdháil Na Múinteoirí Le Rincí Gaelacha Cuideachta Faoi Theorainn Rathaiochta. 2. Solo costumes may not be worn in any competition up to and including Under 9 and in all beginner competitions. 3. Dancers should be properly dressed at all times and no changing of costumes will be permitted in the hall. 4. Facial make-up may not be worn in any competition up to and including Under Age as determined on January 1st Photography and use of video/camera phones is strictly prohibited during a competition. However, photographs may be taken during presentation of prizes. 7. Cups from the 2017 feis MUST be returned BEFORE Saturday 22nd September Competitions may be added or withdrawn, depending on time. 9. Light Jig competitions will also accommodate Single Jig competitors. 10. The adjudicators decision is final in all circumstances. 11. Dancers entering the open championship must enter the solo open Reel and solo open Heavy Jig. 12. All championships are 1 adjudicator championships. Solo Heavy Jig/Hornpipe and Reel competitions will be adjudicated by the other adjudicator. 13. Jig and Reel competitions U5-U12 will be graded Beginner A, Beginner B, Preopen and Open. Beginner A Competitions Open to those dancers who have not previously won a 1st place in a Beginner A competition. Class costumes or skirt/blouse must be worn in all beginner competitions. Beginner B Competitions Open to those dancers who have not previously won a 1st place in a Beginner B competition. Class costumes or skirt/blouse must be worn in all beginner competitions. Pre-Open Competitions Open to dancers who have not previously won a 1st place in a pre-open or open competition in that particular dance. Open Competitions Open to all OTHER dancers due to time restrictions. Dancers may dance up an age group if a particular dance is not catered for in their own age group. Light Cup Competitions - Open to dancers who have danced a light dance in that particular grade.
