International competitors must be members of a clubs affiliated with a National body, which is a member of the International Canoe Federation. 5 Vajda 200m Challenge PRIZES UP FOR GRABS!!! As the event s major sponsor, Vajda Canoes and Kayaks will be set up at States with racing boats --- During the day, drop in to their tent and get sized into one of their kayaks to enter their sponsored race! Entries will only be accepted online via the Queensland Canoeing website through the Calendar. 7 Entry Conditions and Rules All participants in the VAJDA 2011 Queensland Canoe Sprint Championships are required to comply with the following conditions of entry: 1. The Championships are conducted under the ICF Canoe Sprint Racing Competition Rules - Current Version dated 1 January It is the responsibility of the competitor to be familiar with these rules. 2. In the event of a race cancellation due to cyclone, storm, rain, inclement weather, or other Act of God conditions, entry fees shall be non refundable, but will be transferred to the rescheduled event. 3. Entries are not transferable. You may not sell or transfer your place to another competitor. 4. Queensland Canoeing (QC) reserves the right to decline any entry and may disqualify any competitor who fails to comply with any reasonable request or direction from QC officials, Police, SES, or other Officers. 5. Close of Entries: Entries must be received by 11.59pm(EST) on Sunday 16 th January 2011 at Queensland Canoeing. NO entries will be accepted after the late entries cut off date. 6. Changes to Entries: No alterations will be allowed to the race program following the Official scratch meeting. Alterations by will be accepted prior to the meeting for those unable to attend. 7. Safety: Any paddler under 14 years of age, any paddler who cannot swim or lack confidence and any other person so directed by the Competition Committee must wear a PFD (minimum standard Type 2). All craft must have positive or fixed buoyancy, or be constructed of material that floats horizontal when full of water. 8. Disqualification: Any paddler who fails to compete in an event without advising QC or the Race Administration in writing prior to the commencement of the nominated race will be disqualified from further events at the competition and no refund will be available. 9. Protests: All protests are to be submitted in writing on the official protest form and handed to the CHIEF OFFICIAL within 10 minutes of the competitor finishing or withdrawing from the race. Intention to lodge a protest should be communicated to the chief official immediately after exiting the water (to facilitate medal presentations). A $25 protest fee must accompany all protests. The fee will be refunded if the protest is upheld. Protest forms will be available from Race Administration on the day of the event. 10. Uniforms: It is the intention of Queensland Canoeing and the Racing Technical Committee to present a professional image and as such all competitors must wear club uniforms whilst competing at the Championships. All competitors must wear appropriate upper body clothing. Failure to do so may result in disqualification. All paddlers must be aware of the QC Sun Safe Policy and attire themselves appropriately whilst competing. 11. Anti-Doping Policy Statement: the Australian Canoeing Anti-Doping Policy binds all members of The policy applies to: - Any person competing in an event/competition under the control of the Australian Canoeing, or using facilities of those organisations or their affiliates. - Any person who has participated/competed in the last 12 months or who has used facilities of the above mentioned organisations or their affiliates - Any person who is a member of Australian Canoeing or any body affiliated with it - Any person taking part in or involved with any Canoeing activity conducted or authorised by Queensland Canoeing Inc and/or Australian Canoeing - Any person who administers, manages, coaches or assists in the sport of Canoeing - All of the above named are bound by the Policy and must comply with it.
