Over $10,000 will be handed out to qualified winning exhibitors. With this show the NRA recognizes gun collecting accomplishments of NRA members. That is right, you must be an NRA member to display and be considered for cash awards. Exhibit tables may not contain any items that are for sale during show dates. Exhibits should be staffed during open hours. Awards are offered for outstanding items as well as outstanding displays and are as follows: BEST EXHIBIT OF SHOW ($4,000) 1ST RUNNER UP ($2,500) 2nd RUNNER UP ($1,500) The next 8 are all for ($500) and include: ANTIQUE ARMS, CLASSIC ARMS, CONTEMPORAY ARMS, COMBINE ARMS, BEST S&W, BEST COLT, BEST RUGER, BEST MILITARY EXHIBIT Displays are judged on a point system with the following: TITLE & LABELS (10 POINTS) THEME (20) RELATED ITEMS (10) CONDITION (10) RARITY OF ITEMS (10) COLLECTOR IMPORTANCE &/OR HISTORICAL SIGNIFI- CANCE (20) DISPLAY APPEAL, DESIGN & APPEARANCE (20) TOTAL OF 100 POINTS. 4 DAKOTA TERRITORY BELT BUCKLE COLLECTION The DTGCA Collector Belt Buckle, where did it originate from, how many are there, when were they first produced? One of the original founders of the DTGCA, Karl George, was the biggest promoter in getting the belt buckle started. The Association was founded in 1961 but the buckle did not surface until Two others were made but not issued for sale by DTGCA. One was around 1983 round, black and yellow on a silver like metal. The other made before 1980, 3 different styles, not much information on these. The buckle is issued every three years. The Association was fortunate to purchase the entire collection up to 1998 from the estate of Erv Schillinger. Between Karl George and Erv, it would be a fair assumption to say you will not find two greater promoters of the buckles then they were.
