1 We Welcome You to our 9 th Annual Vegas Jam National Dance Convention Weekend. We, the Vegas Jam Planning Committee, have planned an intense, power-packed, fun-filled dance weekend for your enjoyment and pleasure. This document will answer some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ s) along with your itinerary. Arrival by Air to Las Vegas If you are staying at the Host Hotel, the Alexis Park All Suite Resort, prior to your arrival at the McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, please contact the Host Hotel at (800) with your flight information and schedule your transportation reservation for complimentary shuttle service to the resort. If you elect not to use the resort sponsored complimentary shuttle service to the resort, there are taxis and shuttle services for hire. Arrival by Vehicle to Las Vegas There is ample parking to the left of the front door and more around to the left of that parking lot. There is no fee for parking or valet, however, tips are allowed and welcome. Host Hotel The Host Hotel, where all events will be held, is the Alexis Park All Suite Resort. Once you arrive inside the Host Hotel, the hotel registration desk is to your left. After hotel check-in, please proceed to the Apollo Foyer for Event Check-In. Alexis Park All Suite Resort 375 East Harmon Avenue Las Vegas, Nevada (800) Please book your suite as soon as possible. The block is filling up fast and once the block is full, there may be suites available but they will not be at the prevailing rate. The Alexis Park is100% smoke free and the premier all suite non-gaming resort in Las Vegas. The resort amenities include a swimming pool, a fitness center, the Alexis Gardens Restaurant, the Pegasus Bar & Lounge, free WiFi in the lobby and reception areas, complimentary shuttle service to/from the Airport and complimentary shuttle service to/from the Strip (Planet Hollywood drop off/pick up). Onsite Event Check-In There are no paper tickets! Onsite Event Check-In will begin, October 1 st at 9:00am and, October 2 nd at 9:00am in the Apollo Foyer. You, yourself, must Check-In. No one may Check-In for you. At Event Check-In, your wrist will be affixed with a 'waterproof' wristband (not your ankle, purse or any other piece of clothing) that must be worn throughout the weekend. The wristband is made of a strong plastic nonstretch, non-tear lightweight waterproof material with a permanent snap closure. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE YOUR WRISTBAND. Removal or tampering with the wristband may result in non-admittance to any and all events. Government issued picture ID (driver s license, military ID or state-issued ID) is required for Event Check-In. Your confirmation is NOT an alternative to this ID. Page 1 of 8

2 The Noon Buffet is the only food included with your Event Registration The only food included with your Event Registration fee is the Noon All-You-Can-Eat Lunch Buffet. For all other meals, you are on your own. There is no food or hors d oeuvre offered at any of the events, workshops or nightly dance parties. Food will be available at the resort s Pegasus Bar & Lounge, the Alexis Gardens Restaurant and the resort will be offering food-for-purchase at a cash food bar during the hours that the restaurants are closed. No On-site Event Registration There is no onsite registration to the Vegas Jam. You must be a preregistered guest to attend the event. No Transfer Policy Once registered, your registration is non-transferable in-part or in-whole to another person or another year. No Refund Policy There is a No Refund Policy beginning August 1 st The No Refund Policy effective August 1 st applies to any medical illness, family emergency, and loss of employment, job relocation, death of a loved one, military deployment or any other inability to attend. For these reasons, we highly encourage you to purchase trip cancellation insurance. No Seat/Table Saving Policy Our No Seat/Table Saving Policy is in effect during the first hour of the Dance Ballroom opening each night. Guests are not allowed nor permitted to save seats/tables for anyone that is not physically in the ballroom by tilting chairs against the seats at a table; putting garments on the back of seats; putting garments, shoes or purse on a seat cushion. If you are interested in purchasing a Reserved Table for the and night dance parties ONLY (does not include the day parties, luncheon or any other event), please forward your request to steady_steppers@comcast.net. No Nightly Entry Option There are no nightly dance party or workshop only options. The only available option is the all-inclusive Event Dance package. No Spectator Option There is not an option for a spectator to attend. The only available option is the all-inclusive Event Dance package. Lost & Found Please contact the Front Desk for any items that you feel that you may have lost on the property. The Vegas Jam Staff will return any items left in the dance ballrooms to the Front Desk Lost & Found th Anniversary Vegas Jam National Dance Convention Weekend 2016 marks our Diamond Anniversary Year for our Vegas Jam National Dance Convention Weekend.
