She has been dancing and choreographing professionally for more than 30 years. Her peers of the entertainment industry have twice applauded Jillian for her creative choreographic excellence by awarding her both the Penguin and Sammy Awards. Between her professional commitments Jillian has had the opportunity to study all techniques that combine the spectrum of dance. This was first hand knowledge at International dance schools and specialist academy s in both Great Britain and the USA. In gaining this experience it has given her the opportunity to bring this expertise to the classroom, where she excels as a teacher of dance. Jillian studied the masters of modern dance The Alvin Ailey Studio on Broadway, and during their extended tour in Australia. In London Jillian s main objective was to study within the West End Studios mastering the entire Matt Mattox Technique, which was devised for the professional dancer. As a child Jillian studied RAD and participated in professional classes with Jeanette Liddell, who graduated from the legendary Borovansky Ballet Company. She had the opportunity to choreograph a musical television special at Universal Studios in Los Angeles, and on returning to Australia was invited to choreograph the Musical series New Generation for American cable television network. Jillian also choreographed five major production numbers at the Telstra Dome for the Commonwealth games, featuring star headliners, thirty professional dancers and a cast of 310. Her wealth of knowledge and experience of actual performance, together with personal study and teaching, has given Jillian an exceptional ability to become a most sought after and accomplished adjudicator of dance. Jillian brings with her an understanding that each child deserves encouragement, constructive criticism and acknowledgement of their talents and achievements. 3

4 Tap Adjudicator KRISTY MANSFIELD Kristy's career in tap dancing began at the age of four with the legendary Mr. Les Griffith. Along with members of Tap Dogs, she was among the first to learn his Australian tap syllabus (L.G.T.D.A.) and sit for examinations. Kristy studied Classical Ballet, Jazz, Character and Modern/Contemporary dance with Marie Walton-Mahon (Founder of the National College of Dance, Australia) from the age of seven. At the age of eight Kristy began singing and speech & drama. This training assisted Kristy to gain the opportunity to perform in many stage musicals and also The Opening Ceremony of the Sydney Olympic Games (2000) where she was a Lead Dancer. Kristy has also been involved with corporate and promotional functions through employment with Fredrick's Promotions, Great Big Events & Promo Technics in Sydney. One of them being, 42nd Street where she was awarded a City Of Newcastle Drama Award (CONDA) for best choreography at the age of 19. Kristy now devotes her efforts to her own school, HVT Studio of Performing Arts, in the Hunter Region of Australia where she has multiple studios in 5 locations.
