1 The program ended the 2016 year with a record of with 14 Titles, including another National Club Championship, a pair of Adidas National events in INDY & the Atlanta National Championships, and another MYT National Title. 6 of the 7 teams won at least one title along the way. Girls gained a lot of exposure to college coaches and everyone improved along the way. With a program of this size, not everyone is going to be happy but we are very fortunate to have had great kids and mostly great parents along the way. We are here to improve the players, help them better their game and learn along the way. We are not going to get caught up in rankings, as there are so many services pushing rankings. We will take hard work, improvement, and a little fun along the way over hype any day!! Thanks to all the players/parents and especially the coaches who give so much time for no compensation! We could not do this without you Below you will find a quick review of each team along with this past year s roster
2 2016 Indiana Elite S.W.I.S.H. Girls 6 th grade team First year Coach Brent Hancock, who s coaching experience came from the men s program at USI, had a big learning curve with travel ball and younger girls team. He navigated just fine and let the team to a record with a pair of titles in Bowling Green and Indy. Team always played hard probably lost half their games by 7 points or less. Great foundation in year one to build on and expect many players to return to provide an even strong core for next year. # Name Grade Future High School 2 Devyn Barton 5 Castle 3 Jesse Ledgerwood 6 Washington 10 Reagan Cochren 6 Princeton 11 Logan Ledgerwood 6 Washington 14 Emma Connor 6 Vincennes Lincoln 23 Lilly Mosby 6 Eldorado, IL 24 Greyson Huff 6 Carmi, IL 30 Alaina Thorne 6 Washington 32 Elleigh Gray 6 Carmi, IL 33 Kencia Levasseur 6 Washington 34 Molly Schmitt 5 Mater Dei 42 Myah Montgomery 6 Southridge
3 2016 Indiana Elite S.W.I.S.H. Girls 7 th grade team Coach Robby Jones did a really nice job with this group with 4 titles including the always stacked Battle of the Boarders, NCC and Best Choice July Jam. They really seemed to improve after playing in EBA s Boys 7 th /8 th grade league in April going a very respectable 5-5 and 4-1 against some the areas JV high school teams. They made the trip to Atlanta for the Adidas Jr Nationals and finished 3 rd. Great things are in store for this group as long as they stick together and keep working hard! # Name Grade Future High School 2 Avery Neff 7 Heritage Hills 4 Maya Smith 7 Mt. 4 2016 Indiana Elite S.W.I.S.H. Girls 8 th grade team Coach Mark Hisle is an outstanding teacher of the game the girls are super lucky to have him donate his time after a long high school season. His practices are fasted paced, demanding, and many times difficult, but I know this really helped them as they get ready of high school next year with 2 titles including a great run while winning the MYT Nationals. Too much time off late in June and early July ended the year on a sore not a US Jr. Nationals event but a strong run non the less. Look for some shake up at this age level next year as the commitment level is much more demanding at the HS level and desire of some appears to have peaked. Good Luck to all as they begin their HS careers 2 Meridith Raley 8 Gibson Southern 10 Ramey Wilder 8 Boonville 12 Caroline Reid 8 Owensboro Catholic, KY 14 Claire Jones 8 Gibson Southern 20 Brooke Goedde 8 Gibson Southern 21 Leslie Morton 8 Central 30 Kenna Hisle 8 North 31 Gabby Joiner 8 North
5 2016 Indiana Elite S.W.I.S.H. Girls 15u team Great group of girls that were a lot of fun to coach and showed signs of being a really good team with Tournament titles at Adidas Invite in Indy, winning a strong pool division at Run 4 the Roses, and 2 nd place finish at US Jr. Nationals in Champaign as well as NCAA event in Ft. Wayne. With a record, while playing up a division at most events, it s easy to see why this group was a lot of fun to coach and watch grow during the season. Expect to see a few changes for next year and enough more college coaches attending our events. 6 2016 Indiana Elite S.W.I.S.H. Girls 16u team 2016 was a roller coaster of a year for this group. Despite finishing with an impressive record and winning at the Adidas Summer Nationals in Atlanta, they had a few struggles along the way in finding consistent defense when the all the offensive sets were not clicking. Anna Newman made a pair of All Tournament teams and a number of the girls gained valuable college exposure along the way. I expect most all of them back for next year and hope they can pick up where they left off and coach can focus some more on defense and less on so many offensive sets so they don t have to rely on only scoring to win. 1 Anna Newman 10 North 2 Hailey Chubb 10 Gallatin Co., IL 4 Mikayla Hamilton 10 Daviess Co., KY 5 Erika Hendrixson 10 Pike Central *12 Kiera Young 10 Princeton 20 Megan Johnson 11 Bloomington S. 21 Addisyn Blackwell 10 Bloomington S. 23 Marina Blackwell 11 Bloomington S. 25 Kylie Applebey 10 Mt. 7 2016 Indiana Elite S.W.I.S.H. Girls 17u team Coach Johnny Bartley has been a big help to our program the past several years and so glad to see his team win the State Championship following our 2016 season. Congrats!! Finishing with a record against the some of the better teams in the country is much better than you might think. Their schedule was tough and many of their games were lost in the last 3-4 minutes. They did get to the final 4 at US Jr. Nationals in STL & Champaign. Stowe and Johnson both made all tournament teams. They would have been better if they did not have so many conflicts and rarely had a full team together 0 Ali Spahn 11 Mater Dei 1 Lexi Payne 11 Apollo, KY 10 Lauren Eagleson 11 E.
