2 SCHEDULE: The Wright State will bowl on Tuesdays for 11 weeks beginning Tuesday, May 2, 2017 and ending on Tuesday, July 11, Classroom instruction will start at 6:20 PM and league bowling at 7:00 PM. This league will bowl at Beaver-Vu Bowl, 1238 N. Fairfield Rd., Beavercreek, OH Website: daytonbowling.com. ORGANIZATION & ELIGIBILITY: This league is operated and managed by Beaver-Vu Bowl with the assistance of the Wright State University Bowling Club. This is a 3-person, trio team league. It is open to any bowler, male or female, age 22 and under as of August 1, 2016 regardless of USBC membership. USBC membership is NOT required to participate in this league. Any bowler of either gender from any school may be on a team with any other bowler. FORMAT: INSTRUCTION - Each week at 6:20 PM thirty (30) minute classroom instruction on various bowling topics will be presented by our certified staff of high school and collegiate coaches. The instruction will educate bowlers on a variety of subjects pertinent to improving their skill and knowledge of the game. Parents are welcome to attend the instructional class each week. BOWLING - This is a four (4) game, 10-point league. 2 points for each game won and 2 points for series. Because of the varying skill level of participants, 90% of 200 handicap will be applied with a maximum bowler handicap of 54 pins per game. The final night of bowling (July 11th) will be a position Round. COST: The cost per bowler per week is $ Breakdown: $12.00 lineage, $2.00 expenses, $6.00 awards/ scholarships. There is no membership or registration fee to bowl in this league. PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS: This is a team league. Bowlers have an obligation to their teammates and the league to be present on the night of bowling. If unable to be present on the night of bowling, bowlers have 2 options: Option #1: Bowlers may pre-bowl, either individually or with their team, on any weekday (Monday-Friday) prior to the scheduled week they will miss. Pre-bowling requires a bowler or team to reserve a lane with the center. Post-bowling is not allowed. Option #2: An absent bowler may have a substitute bowl in their place. If a sub is used, the league fee must be paid at the time of bowling, either by the sub or by arrangement with the absent team member. AWARDS: Team Awards - 1st place team members will receive a bowling ball, courtesy of the Wright State University Bowling Club. 1st place team members will also each receive a team trophy, courtesy of Beaver-Vu Bowl and each will receive a $ SMART college scholarship. 2nd place team members will each receive a $ SMART college scholarship. 3rd place team members will each receive a $ SMART college scholarship. See pg. 3 of this flier for more scholarship award details. Individual Awards - The following awards are all SMART college scholarship awards: High boy and high girl scratch average: $ High boy and high girl scratch 4-game series: $ High boy and girl scratch game: $ High boy and high girl 4-game handicap series: $ High boy and high girl handicap game: $ No bowler may earn more the one (1) individual award. To qualify for any individual award, a league bowler must have bowled in 9 of the 11 weeks (36 games which can include pre-bowling) of this league. No substitute bowler will be eligible for any team or individual award. All league members will receive a league t-shirt courtesy of Beaver-Vu Bowl. All SMART college scholarship team and individual awards will be deposited in USBC SMART Account # COMPLIANCE: In the event of a dispute not specifically covered herein, bowlers agree, by their voluntary participation in this league, to acquiesce to the authority of league management to adjudicate all disputes, based on USBC playing rules and by what is deemed in the best interest of this league.

3 The SURVIVOR League is now The TEAM SURVIVOR League! And here s what it means for you 1. INSTRUCTION - Each week we will have a short, 30-minute instructional class covering basic and advanced bowling practices presented by top high school and collegiate bowling coaches in southwest Ohio. Everything from keeping score to reading lanes will be covered. See the FORMAT on page 2. Knowledge is power! 2. TEAM BOWLING - This season, the SURVIVOR League is a team sport. 3 bowlers on a team and all bowlers roll 4 games. Bowlers may team-up with any bowlers of either gender from any school. If you don t have a team, we will help you find one. We begin after the high school season and end before the USBC Jr. Gold Championships. There is no minimum average or minimum age requirement to participate in this league. It is open to any young bowler age 22 & under as of August 1, CHALLENGING LANE PATTERNS - Bowlers will be given the opportunity to experience lane patterns found in competitive venues used in high school and college bowling. The specific lane patterns to be used each week are posted with this league flier on daytonbowling.com. 4. FREE PRACTICE BOWLING! - Members of this league get 2 free games of open bowling everyday between May 3rd & July 10th from open until 5:00 PM. A league pattern will be applied to select open bowling lanes so you can practice your game on a challenging lane pattern. This free game offer is only available to league members who bowled (or pre-bowled) the preceding week in this league. This offer is subject to lane availability at the center and is not available during Beaver-Vu Lights. 5. SMART SCHOLARSHIPS - SMART college scholarships will be awarded to both individuals and teams based on performance. See the Awards section on pg. 2 of this flier for specific details. Note: The awards listed on pg. 2 require a minimum of 12 participating teams. If less than 12 teams, the awards may be reduced. 100% of all scholarship funds collected will be awarded Find your teammates now!
