1 Out on The Twig Roger West wins 18th SASBA title in Monticello! In a high scoring affair, Roger West led the qualifying and traded the front spot with Kenny Winstead before assuming the lead again entering the final match. Kenny started with the front five needing to win the game by 58 pins to pass Roger, but a split in the 6 th killed his chances of winning by enough pins because Roger also had a fourbagger. Roger stayed clean and Kenny took it off the sheet for 264 to hold onto 2 nd. There was 84 pins separating 2 nd and 8 th entering the final match. Bob Troutt jumped from 7 th to 3 rd with a 265. Pat Henderson got 4 th and homeboy Stephen Adams rounded out the top five. Thanks to Reggie Riley and Josh Culpepper and staff for being great hosts! The crawfish boil Saturday and cupcakes Sunday to celebrate our four birthday boys were great! Marquee Lanes always goes all out to make us feel welcome. We hope to come back next year and do it again! Next weekend, we ll be at Cowtown Bowling Palace in Fort Worth, TX for a Super Senior/Guest Doubles. Two weeks after that is the regular Trio at AMF Showplace in Euless. You need at least one Super Senior on each team for that one. If the other two are 50-59, they can t both be champions. Let us know if you want to bowl either event. Zapp almost made it. Mikkelsen too. Saale ate three beer trays full of crawfish! Delery had a long ride home. Lile is throwing it great! Jim s Tip: When you gain or lose a lot of weight in a small timespan, your timing is likely to change. Sometimes for the better sometimes for the worse. After a weight change, if you notice balance problems, loss of ball speed or reduced leverage, consult a coach to get you back in time, on balance with good leverage.
