The top lifts to reveal a shallow tray containing a large number of fly tying tools, and the twin front doors open to allow access to four drawers, all containing early fly tying materials, tools, hooks etc Makers include Hardy Bros, Cummins of Bishop Auckland, S. & E. Messeena, Veniard and a vice by Southview of Caerphilly, Glamorgan and seventeen spools of Cellulite tying silk made to tie the special range of trout flies developed by J. W. 4 Lot: 32 ACCESSORIES: A very rare Farlow & Co. H. S. Hall black japanned tackle case, 8 x 6 x 4. Henry Sinclair Hall was famous for his development of the eyed hook c1875. Farlow described the tin in their 1913 catalogue as A very compact and convenient tackle case for artificial baits, spinning tackle, traces, leads etc.internally the base is divided into three different sized compartments with two lift out trays mounted above, one tray divided crossways, the other lengthways, again giving different sized compartments. Very good condition.
