3 Cedar Valley Woodworkers Association CVWA Club Meeting Minutes 13 February 2018 President Jack Ackerman called the meeting to order promptly at 6:35 PM. 56 Members, 2 new members (Mark Whittle & Mike Hoffman) and 5 guests (Jim Mastein, John Lawler, Dale Tayloe, Mark Dopke & John Wheeler) were present. Thank you to: Bob Colby, Vern Tapper, Dave Regenold, Dale & Amy Barglof for furnishing treats. Left flyer and business cards Respectfully Submitted, SECRETARY Steve Robb Cedar Valley Woodworkers Executive Board Meeting Minutes 20 February 2018 Meeting called to order by President Jack Ackerman at 7 P.M. at Members Present: Bob Renz, Dave Turner, Dennis Gilroy, Jim Wikle, Paul Bailey, Reed Craft, Steve Robb, Terry Duckworth Treasurer s Report: Reed Craft submitted the Treasurer s Report and it was approved. Reed also expressed a change to the rule for paying small amounts i.e. $25.00 to Brecheisen for winning the dues drawing and $17.00 to Barb Gurney to reimburse her for coffee for the club meeting. Currently, the Board has to approve all payments. Paul Bailey proposed and later rescinded a motion to rescind that rule and he proposed a motion that all bills should paid according to the By-Laws. (Treasurer can pay all bills under $250. $251 - $499 Needs Board approval. Over $500 has to be approved by Membership.) Dave Turner 2 nd and Motion passed. Secretary s Report: I submitted the Secretary s Report and said that I would add Terry Duckworth to the Members Present 16 Jan 2020 Minutes - Approved. I also said that I ve started a binder for the 2020 General Meetings Minutes, Board Meeting Minutes and Correspondence that I receive.

4 Cedar Valley Woodworkers Association Page 4 Meeting Programs: March: Roger York Bamboo Fly rods April: Gene Winters Making of Longbow & Arrows At next Membership meeting, members will be polled to see if there is interest in another Swap Meet. New Business: Dave Turner: Need to amend Letterhead will work with Paul Bailey UNI Surplus Sale Add a line to newsletter, with address, that if you are interested in joining the UNI Swap Meet mailing, go to the enclosed address Treats for General Meetings List is now full. Best results, in the past, is to have the list at the Christmas Party. Should bring back up at the November meeting from Jack McKee, Woodshop for Kids No Action to be taken We need to add a correction in the newsletter to correct Joel Bummer's grandfather last name to show: Rysavy Reed Craft: Dues should be paid ASAP Bob Renz: Membership dues should be reconsidered where $25 for one member and $35 for Family. By- Laws: Primary Member-$25, Wife-$10 and each child, under 21, is $5.00. Action: Table until March meeting Jack Ackerman: further explained reason for President s Challenge and asked for suggestions for prize. Members get a ticket for each item that they bring for Show & Tell. Steve Robb will maintain a listing of people and their number of tickets.
