17 From the mouths of participants A selection of open response comments: 17 Some of the pitches that we played on were so poor quality it made it dangerous to play. Some clubs facilities are also very poor (Male club member, age 25) I find that the ref's appointed to the woman's game leave a lot to be desired. They quite often seem to be lacking in basic knowledge, decision making and fitness (Female club member, age 29) Rugby League is a fantastic sport for all the family to get involved in (Female club member, age 35) The weather has taken its toll on this season meaning stopping and starting and with a lack of all weather facilities at a reasonable price (Male club member, age 26) I don't think the rfl does enough to assist small clubs (Male club member, age 39) I feel the touch Rugby League sessions ran in North Yorkshire are very good. It's great to see week by week new people are coming down giving it a try and enjoying it. The RFL are doing a great job (Male participant, age 25)
