1 The Myrtle Beach Indoor Sports Center Skill Level/Age Pickleball Tournament Friday, September 9 Saturday, September 10 Sunday, September 11(New- Singles) Clinics Open to the Public and Players Thursday, September 8 Dinner/Dance Thursday, September 8, 2016 Tournament Information The Myrtle Beach Seaside Classic will be held on Friday, September 9, Saturday, September 10, and Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Myrtle Beach Sports Complex, Indoor Venue which just had their Grand Opening in March The location is 2115 Farlow St. Myrtle Beach, SC There will also be a Dinner/Dance on Thursday night, September 8, 2016 with a wonderful buffet dinner, plenty of great door prizes along with music and dancing. Format This is a Skill Level / Age Combination Tournament You do not have to be a USAPA member to participate You must be at least 19 years of age by December 31, 2016 to participate. Skill Ratings are: 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, and 5.0 Only 2.5 and 3.0, and and 50+ may be combined if there are not enough teams in one or the other. The Age breakdowns in Skill Levels, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 are (19+, 50+, 60+, ) The Age Breakdowns in Skill Levels, 4.0, 4.5, (19+, 50+, 60+, 70+) 5.0 (19+, 50+)

2 This is a Double Elimination Tournament. All upper bracket matches will be 2 out of 3 games to 11 points win by 2 points, Back Draw matches will be one game to 15 points, win by 2 points. All final matches will be 2 out of 3 games to 11 points win by 2, however if the back draw player(s) wins then there will be an additional game to 15pts, win by 2pts to determine 1 st Place. There will be Referees for all Semi Final and Final Matches. If there are fewer than 7 teams in a division, that division may play a Round Robin format. Games will be to 21 pts. or 15 pts. win by 1. Total Points scored determines 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd place. In the event of a tie, games won and then head to head scores will be used. There will be 20+ Indoor Pickleball Courts Water, Gatorade, apples, and fruit, will be provided for players. Lunch with a wide variety of items will be available for purchase for players and spectators, from the Sports Center Grill. 4 TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE Thursday, September 8 - Clinics will be offered to the public and players(more information to follow) Exhibition Match Thursday, September 8 Open Practice Time 2:00pm 5:00pm Social Meet and Greet Dinner / Dance 7:00pm- 9:30pm **Please wait until 2:00pm to practice due to setting up and courts being used for clinics, and Exhibition Matches Friday, September 9 - Women s and Men s Doubles (Check- In Times to Be Announced after on- line entry Deadline) Saturday, September 10 - Mixed Doubles (Check in Times To Be Announced after on- line entry Deadline Sunday, September 11 Singles ( only Skill Level no age breakdown 2.5/3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5, 5.0 There will be special drawings each day at the tournament for prizes!!
