Divisions must have a minimum of four participants otherwise they may be combined or cancelled at the tournament director s discretion. Notification of any changes will be given prior to the tournament day. Safety Equipment: Properly sized and fitted mouth guards are mandatory for all divisions. Headgear is mandatory for all Continuous Non-Contact & Knockdown Divisions with the exception of the Open Divisions. Groin cups are mandatory for all Knockdown Divisions. The tournament will supply all headgear, chest protectors, shin guards and gloves for the children s divisions. Adults are to supply their own equipment with the exception of head gear and women s chest protectors. Awards: First, second and equal third will be awarded to all contact and non contact divisions. Kata competitors will receive awards for first, second, and third place. 2

3 Officials: Officials are required to register no later than Friday, April 27, 2018 All officials must hold a valid officiating certificate recognized by the IKOKC or IKO. Officials must sign in by 8:00am on tournament day, or their name will be removed from the officials list. Tournament Officials will not be permitted to act as coaches within the Division groups in which they are officiating. Officials will be provided lunch and a complimentary ticket to the Sayonara Party. All officials must attend the officials meeting at 8:30 the day of the tourament. Officials Clinic: To Be Announced Coaches: Coaches are required to register no later than Friday, April 27, 2018 Each participating dojo will be allowed a maximum of three (3) coaches in Non-Contact, and Children s Knockdown and three (3) for Knockdown. All Coaches are required to complete the Concussion Awareness Training - Coaches module at: All coaches must attend the coaches meeting at 8:30 the day of the tourament. The tournament committee recommends that each dojo assign a responsible adult to assist their coaches with their 12 & under competitors in the warm-up area. Lunch: Lunch will be supplied for volunteers and officials who have registered by Friday, April 27, Tickets will be issued for lunch. 3

4 Volunteers: Please encourage your students to register as a volunteer for this event Volunteers will be expected to help out for a minimum of four (4) hours (2 two hour shifts) during the day. If you have any experience in a specific area (ie: supplies, marshalling), or would like to volunteer in a specific area, please note their interest and tournament experience on the registration form. A schedule will be made up before tournament day and volunteers notified of their shifts and duties. All registered volunteers will be admitted free of charge and lunch will be provided. Deadline for registration as a volunteer is Friday April 27, Volunteers will not be accepted on tournament day. Volunteers will be given a complimentary ticket to the Sayonara Party. All volunteers must attend the volunteers meeting at 8:30 the day of the tourament. Dress Code: Please be aware of the IKOKC dress code. Volunteers are to wear black dress pants, black dress shoes and white shirt. Coaches are to wear black pants and white golf style shirt with designated crest ( available for purchase at the Kyokushin Store) Officials are to wear black dress pants, designated navy blue short sleave shirt with the appropriate patch as well as the correct bow tie for their certification level, and red blazer (optional) Prizes: Raffle tickets will be sold during the event, The draws for the prizes will be held mid afternoon Door prize tickets will be issued upon entry into the event. The door prizes will be drawn throughout the day. Silent auction will be held at the sayonara party All proceeds from these ticket sales will go towards funding the event. 4

5 Sayonara Party: WHERE: Richmond Curling Club Hollybridge Way, Richmond WHEN: 7PM - Midnight All are welcome to attend All attendees must have registered prior to April 27th 2018 online. $15.00 per person, children under 12 free when accompanied by a responsible adult, subject to the approval of the IKOKC Registered officials and volunteers can attend for free (but must still fill out the registration form) Children and individuals under 19 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or have a signed release form from the parent or guardian giving their dojo instructor and/or the dojo s designated representative the responsibility for their care Food such as sandwiches, pizza, appies... Cash Bar Sensei Anthony Evangelista DJ E-VIL EVANGELISTA has offered to take charge of the music for the Sayonara party which promises to be a lot of fun A silent auction will be held with some great swag from our many sponsors and supporters.
