2 HOW TO PROCEED: Organizational Phases Hosting an IPPA approved Competition is something IPPA takes very seriously. Through the different stages of this process, IPPA is looking for hosts who share the passion for promoting and developing P&P and are committed to using this Golf speciality to unite the community. To organize an approved IPPA Competition, there will be 4 stages: 1. Invitation 2. Application 3. Bidding 4. Final Selection Stage 1 Invitation Following approval of the IPPA Competition Plan, an invitation will be sent to all IPPA Associate members, regarding the potential organization of one or more competitions in accordance with the IPPA Competition Plan Regulation. A fair and appropriate deadline will be set for the launch of a Candidature and Selection process for each of the Competitions listed in the IPPA Official Competition Calendar. Nowadays, it is expected that the process of applying for a World Championship, for example, can be launched at least two years before its organization. However, it will be expected that in the future, at the end of the World Championship in question, the organizer of the next World Championship will be announced, thus opening the whole process, about 5 years before the Championship takes place. This will be the ideal to achieve in the medium term. Stage 2 Application Interested IPPA Associated Members will be asked to fill in the and return specific documents with specific guarantees to IPPA. Through these applications, they will demonstrate that they have the required elements for staging the competition they are applying for. Please note that the official language is English and that all candidature documentation must be provided in English. Stage 3 Bidding - Countries which have returned acceptable applications will be contacted/visited by IPPA staff where further information will be collected and sites evaluated. The fact that a country has submitted a bid should not be publicized during the application process. The IPPA staff will provide guidance on the timeline of such activities once all the bids have been received and the application deadline has passed. Lobbying that occurs too early in the process can be detrimental to the overall fairness of the bidding procedure. Stage 4 Final Selection - If an IPPA Associate Member Bid is placed on the deciding ballot, a report will be written by the IPPA Competition Committee to the IPPA Executive Committee, in order to assist them in making their selection. These reports shall be impartial and will not attempt to direct the IPPA Board s vote. However, they will contain the necessary objective content to allow for an informed decision. These reports will be provided to the IPPA Board ahead of the vote. Then the IPPA Board (Executive Committee) decides about who will host the Competition. 2

MOTIVATION, CONCEPT AND LEGACY DATES OF THE IPPA COMPETITION: a) State your proposed dates to host the IPPA COMPETITION and specify your reasons: MOTIVATION AND LEGACY a) What is your principal motivation for hosting the IPPA COMPETITION? b) What do you believe would be the long-term benefits for your federation of bidding for the IPPA COMPETITION? c) Provide a letter confirming that your Local Organizing Committee (LOC) as well as the host courses will not be involved in the organization of other important national or international events during the IPPA COMPETITION or two weeks immediately before or after. ACCOMMODATION Note: Provide guarantee from hotel stating the willingness to participate, indicating current applicable group rates, approximate expected annual increases, and number of rooms available for the IPPA COMPETITION.
