What a massive effort and credit to such a great sportswoman. Club Champion for 2017 is KIM BURKE Div 2 Club Champion MEL BENSLEY Div 3 Club Champion MARIA WALLIS FOURSOMES CHAMPIONSHIP The ladies Foursomes Championships was held on the 17 May 2017 congratulations to the winners. Division 1 Foursomes Champions: Leah BLIGH & Jeanette ARKINS Division 2 Foursomes Champions: Margaret OAKLEY & Cathy GARNER PENNANTS The CCWGA maintained the same format for the Ladies Pennants for A very big thank you to the captains of our Pennants teams Bev McLEAN Team Wattle and Jude TARRAN Team Banksia. The teams were very competitive throughout the competition with the following results. Team Banksia: Shelly Beach was equal 3rd position on 8 points with Morisset winners on 10 Team Wattle: Shelly Beach was 3rd position on 7 points with Kooindah winners on 9 Congratulations to all the following ladies: TEAM BANKSIA Captain: Jude TARRAN Jill McPHERSON Emma de VRIES Sue GALTON Trish HOWARD Rosie MOORE Susan EASTWAY Roz EVATT Gai PALMER Alice DIAMOND Sharon DOBSON Linda NASH TEAM WATTLE Captain: Bev MCLEAN Kerry HOWELL Lesley HAGGERTY Julie MACKEY Ally GALE Di MABEY Helena GARDEN Jo SPEARS Jeanette ARKINS SINGLES KNOCKOUT The Singles Knockout competition qualifier was held on 8 February 2017 and the event was strongly contested this year with some great results and the victor for 2017 is Jude TARRAN. FOURBALL KNOCKOUT The Fourball Knockout competition qualifier was held on 28 June 2017 and the event has not yet been completed so I will report the winner in next years report.

9 SHELLY BEACH GOLF CLUB LADIES ANNUAL REPORT 8 BRONZE MEDALLION Roseville on 29 September 2017 Trish HOWARD and Vicki IRELAND Mona Vale on 29 September 2017 Eunice de VRIES and Jen JONES Shelly Beach Golf Club = 3rd DISTRICT BROOCH WINNERS The District Brooch playoff was held during the District Charity Day at Morisset golf course on Monday 14 August Division 1: Jo SPEARS Division 2: Leonie JOHNS Division 3: Val GRIMWOOD GWEN THOMPSON SHIELD The qualifying event was held at Shelly Beach on 26 Juy 2017 and the final was held at Gosford on Monday 11 September Three teams from Shelly Beach qualified and won the event, this was the last time this event will be run and it was appropriate that Shelly Beach won both the first and last of this event. Congratulations to Shelly Beach who came in with a winning team score of +37, they are: WINNERS ON THE DAY +15 FOURTH POSITION ON THE DAY +12 SCORE OF +10 ON THE DAY Margaret MARJORAM Cecily ROBERTSON Heather ROBILLIARD June BRENNAN Jen JONES Trish BOSLEY Vicki IRELAND Kerry HOWELL Val STOCK NSW WOMEN S FOURBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS The 2BBB classic par qualifying event was held on 31 May 2017 with the following teams qualifying to play in the CCWGA Fourball classic district final at Shelly Beach on Monday 9 October Jan MAYFIELD and Robyn TWEED Helena GARDEN and Glenda THOMAS Marlene LUNN and Val GRIMWOOD CAPTAIN vs PRESIDENT The Captain v s President event is scheduled for next week on Wednesday 27 September 2017 go Captains team!!! GOLD MEDAL PLAYOFF The Gold Medal Playoff for 2016 was won by Maree HICKEY The Gold Medal Playoff for 2017 was won by MARGARET LOWE
