2 About The Royal Melbourne Seniors Classic is a pinnacle event on the Victorian Senior calendar, and will be contested over 54- holes on the East, West and Composite courses of The Royal Melbourne Golf Club. This tournament holds both National and World ranking status and will be part of the Victorian Senior Order of Merit for the Doug Bachli Trophy (gross points only). Trophy Winners) Daily NTP (Golf Fore a Cause) gold coin donation 2016 Royal Melbourne Senior Classic Champion L-R: Champion Greg Rhodes (Coomealla) & Nett Champion John Kelly (Metropolitan) Round 2 & 3 Draws A seeded draw will be created for round 2 and round 3 based on 18 hole and 36 hole gross scores respectively. Both draws will be ed to players and available on the GV website at from approximately 7pm on Monday and 3pm on Tuesday. Alternatively, players may call the GV Mobile on (Michelle). Catering Drinks will be provided on course to all players each round. Lunch on Monday and Tuesday will be at each player s own expense. The Presentation Lunch on Wednesday following round 3 is included for all players. Guests are welcome at a cost of $35pp. For catering purposes please inform GV if you cannot attend or wish to book in a guest by registration on Monday. Note: Neat & smart casual attire is required. No denim is allowed. Practice During the tournament range ball tokens will be available from the Pro Shop at no charge and are the only practice balls to be used on the Practice fairway. Although previously advertised on the entry sheet Practice rounds will NOT be available for players before the tournament due to prior Royal Melbourne Member commitments. In accordance with Rule of Golf 7-1, no practice on either the West or East courses is permitted between each round of the Championship. Gross points will be awarded for the Men s Doug Bachli Trophy. Presentation All trophies will be presented during the Presentation Lunch on Wednesday. It would be appreciated if as many competitors as possible remain for the presentation to honour the respective trophy winners.

3 MOREY RD Course Maps Players are requested to familiarise themselves with the course maps below to avoid any delay in commencement of play from allocated holes. Round 1 Composite Course Round 2 East Course Note: Parking available at Weatherall Rd and along Morey Rd. No parking on Reserve Rd. All gates will be open.

5 Registration All competitors are required to report to Golf Victoria representatives at registration inside the club café past the practice putting green. Players must then be present at the briefing and on the appropriate tee no later than 10 minutes prior the tee time. Handicaps All players must ensure that their current and correct daily handicap is recorded on the scorecard in accordance with Rule 6-2b. Players must play from their DAILY handicap during the Championship, with the exception that no player shall play from a GA handicap greater than the maximum limit of Scorecards All score cards are to be returned to the registration area immediately at the conclusion of play. Dress Regulations All players and caddies are requested to adhere to the Club s dress regulations. Neat, tidy and clean golf attire is required. Advertising or display materials must not appear on clothing except for small logos. Denim clothing and metal spikes are not permitted. Players and guest not adhering to the Host Clubs dress regulations may be prohibited from playing and requested to leave the facilities. Royal Melbourne Etiquette & Dress Code Course Care / Club Regulations Players are reminded that sand buckets MUST be taken and used, pitch marks are to be repaired, and bunkers raked following play at each course. Mobile phones are not to be used in the clubhouse or on the course unless in the case of an emergency or a ruling during the round. Play will be from the nominated tee markers. Any player not complying with these requirements will be subject to action in accordance with the GA Codes of Behaviour. Slow Play Rule 6-7 will be strictly enforced. Each group must maintain its position on the course with respect to the group preceding them. Any group with a clear hole in front of them will be considered out of position. Penalties will be issued to individuals in such groups who by their pace contribute to such delay. Warnings may not be issued prior to penalties. Suspension of Play In the event of heavy rain, lightning or for any other reason, the Championship Committee will be responsible for deciding whether to suspend play. The signal for suspending play will be one short siren blast. The procedure when play is suspended is outlined under Rule 6-8b. When the course is ready for play, players will be advised to return to various locations. The signal for the resumption of play will be one long siren blast. Refunds Any entrant may withdraw and have the entrance fee refunded provided notification is received within three working days prior to the event. Under no circumstances will entry fees be refunded after this date unless players can provide Golf Victoria supporting documents regarding their withdrawal from the event (ie. Medical certificate). Motorised Carts According to GV s standard conditions of competitions, it is the responsibility of the player, if they require the use of a golf cart during the event to send a Medical Certificate and a completed copy of the Golf Victoria Motorised Transport Approval Return Form for consideration by the Match Committee. Please go to the GV website under Championships & Events Event Resources Motorised Transport for the return form and more information. Exemption: Players aged 75 years and over do not require a Medical Certificate. Golf carts are at the player s own expense and MUST be booked directly with the respective golf. Golf Victoria cannot guarantee the use of a golf cart on any given day of play as this is subject to each host club s conditions of usage. Note: In the event in which a limited number of carts are available, players requesting carts will be paired together. Caddies are permitted to ride in the cart with the player ONLY when sufficient carts are available. Safe thru 18 First Aid Information Guide for Golfers Golf Victoria is aware that occasionally situations arise out on golf courses where first aid or emergency action is needed, and often golfers are unsure of the best way to respond. A compact and comprehensive first aid guide titled Safe thru 18 has been developed in a format that can easily fit into a player s bag. This guide provides information covering many situations that players may face out on course, both critical and common. A PDF version of the Safe Thru 18 guide can be obtained at under Championships & Events Event Resources. In addition, a complimentary Safe thru 18 guide will be available for all players at registration. Additional copies can be purchased through the Golf Victoria office for $1 per guide. Golf Victoria stresses that Safe thru 18 is not designed as an alternative to a first aid course and we encourage all clubs and members to consider taking a professionally delivered first aid course.
