2 RULES OF PLAY The rules of the Royal Canadian Golf Association will govern all play except where modified by local rules. LOCAL RULES. Out-of-Bounds is defined by fencing with White Stakes.. Fencing not indicated with white stakes will be played as an Immovable Obstruction. Relief is given only when the fence interferes with a player s stance or swing. Relief is the nearest point and one club length no closer to the hole, no penalty. No relief is given for line of sight. 3. Water Hazards are defined by Yellow Stakes. 4. Lateral Water Hazards are defined by Red Stakes. 5. Relief may be taken from all paths, roadways and exposed pipelines. 6. Animal tracks in bunkers may be smoothed and the ball replaced without penalty. Any shot striking wildlife may be replayed without penalty. COURSE ETIQUETTE AND INFORMATION. Please repair all ball marks, rake bunkers and replace divots.. Keep carts on paths around tees and greens. Carts must remain on the paths on all Par 3s. 3. Pull carts are to be kept a minimum of 30 feet from the greens. 4. The U.S.G.A. pace rating is 4 hours and 0 minutes. 5. Our Player Assistants are on course to help you enjoy your day. 6. 3 Golf in Jasper National Park The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is located in Jasper National Park - a designated UNESCO site. Our golf course is no exception. In 94, it took 00 men and 50 teams of horses the entire summer to clear timber and rocks from the site of the Jasper Park Lodge golf course. Over 90 years later, golfers from all over the world still gather together in this secluded mountain locale to immerse themselves in the definitive, Rocky Mountain Golf Experience. Complete with the occasional wildlife spectator, guests can experience the lush rolling fairways that Thompson once crafted from the outstanding elements of the National Park landscape. Forever showcased is Thompson s brilliance as it extends beyond the individual holes to encompass the entire nature of the course from wide fairways, to bunkers patterned after the snow formations on surrounding mountains, and holes aligned with dominant peaks. More of an artist than an architect, Stanley Thompson created a course to challenge and delight players of every level.
