4 The Els for Autism Golf Challenge Years from now people may remember me as a golfer and a major champion. But I'd like also to be remembered as somebody who took the issue of Autism and did something with it. The rest of my life, I'll be fighting! Ernie Els Two-person teams compete for a place at the Grand Finale - a two-day all expenses paid extravaganza of golf and entertainment hosted by Ernie and his friends from the PGA Tour in Las Vegas October 2014.

5 A Statement from Jim Ravannack - President of USA Wrestling USA Wrestling is pleased to stage an event that both celebrates the Olympic sports of wrestling and golf, and provides resources and awareness to the fight against Autism. I have noticed the look of accomplishment in the eyes of the many autistic wrestlers that I ve personally had the opportunity to coach. Most autistic kids have never experienced a bona fide athletic accomplishment. We provide a big brother wrestler to mentor each autistic kid for one year. They teach tactics and strategies and serve as shadow protectors. Ours is a one-on-one sport which allows for the competitive level to be appropriately measured. In years when the autistic numbers were high, we d have those wrestlers practice on one mat while the Varsity/Jr Varsity etc. practiced on the other two mats. We make the entire experience as normal as possible. We ve even shut down our State Tournament for 15 minutes and the big brothers help to conduct matches for our autistic kids we even had 2008 Olympic Champion Henry Cejudo present awards! There s not a lot of options for these kids. James Ravannack/President-USA Wrestling U.S. Olympic Team-Wrestling The 2012 U.S. Olympic Team includes some of the world s greatest athletes! This is your chance to meet a unique athlete. These wrestlers will battle the toughest combat sport athletes in the world during the 2016 Rio Olympic Games! New York Jets Several members of the New York Jets will be in attendance and available to join your group. Dave Szott, Director of Player Development for the Jets was a NJ State Wrestling Champion before playing 14 NFL seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, The Washington Redskins and the New York Jets. He is a tireless fundraisier for charitable causes and Dave would love to see everyone participate in this Els for Autism Golf Challenge affiliated event.
