2 At the links shell cove we are all about fun!! We want to make your day as enjoyable as possible for you and your guests. In the following, you will find some important details and information regarding hosting an outing at the links shell cove along with many of our options to make your outing all the more special

3 Our Course The links offers 4 different set of tee markers to cater for golfers of all level. We don't use traditional colours to identify them and instead we use items inspired by our local area. Quarry Course (Not for the faint hearted) Our hardest course derives its name from the hard basalt extracted from the Bass Point quarry that shares a border with the golf course. Operated by Hanson s as part of the Heidelberg cement group and has been part of the local community since The team at the quarry has and continues to be a strong supporter of The Links Shell Cove. Handicap Range: 0-6 Slope Rating: 129 Scratch Rating: 70 Brickyard Course (Harsh but fair) As bricks are used as foundations for any strong building, the bricks at The Links Shell Cove are used as a symbol of recognition to those foundation members from the original Shellharbour Golf Club. The brickyard course is used for the majority of our men s competitions. Handicap Range: 0-18 Slope Rating: 122 Scratch Rating: 68

Steelworks Course (something for everyone) Our most popular course for play, The Steelworks tees are used as a symbol to recognise the steel industry and its influence in Wollongong and the greater Illawarra. Many of our members have a personal connection with this industry as employment at the steelworks was a backbone for their families settlement in the Illawarra. Handicap Range: All Slope Rating: 113 Scratch Rating: 66 Railyard Course (pure relaxation & enjoyment) The Railyard course is a symbol to the proximity of our course to the now closed Dunmore Station. The original sign work from the station can be found situated around the course. This course is also used for the majority of our women s competitions Handicap Range: All Slope Rating: 114 (L) Scratch Rating: 67 (L) (L to R: Railyard, Steelworks, Brickyard & Quarry)

5 Starting Formats The following is a guideline as to the starting format that will be used for your group based on numbers booked for: = One Tee Start (1st OR 9th) = Two Tee Start (1st & 9th) = Shotgun Start (holes used at golf ops discretion) = Shotgun Start (All holes may be used) AM Shotgun = 7:30am 7:45am PM Shotgun = 12:00 1:00pm (seasonal) Note: If your numbers change, the golf operations staff may have to change your start format. Pricing LSC is most likely more affordable than you think, our dynamic pricing model means there is a time and date for any budget. LSC Tip; Make sure you ask for our online rate when making your booking!

Dress Code To keep in-line with LSC s relaxed atmosphere, there is no need for collared shirts, knee high socks or the traditional plus 4 s that are often associated with golf courses.

We want you and your guests to be relaxed and comfortable, so, when you arrive at LSC, answer yes to these questions and you are ready to play! Are you wearing a shirt? Are you wearing shorts/pants? Are you wearing shoes? Drinks on course Sometimes you need a drink on the course to loosen up that swing, and that s ok! However, The Links Shell Cove is a fully licensed facility, which means it is illegal to bring your own alcohol onto the premises. This includes the Tavern and all areas of the golf course. Cans of alcohol (no glass permitted on course) can be purchased from the golf shop before and/or during play, there is eskys on all the carts and we will even get you some ice to keep them chilled.

Slow Play It s great to stop and smell the roses, but it s no fun watching them grow! Please enjoy your day out on the picturesque Links course, but be sure to keep up with the group in-front of you and everyone can get back to the clubhouse in time for a drink before lunch Scoring & Presentation The tavern has some great areas and a nice relaxed atmosphere perfect for your post golf needs. If you need a little something extra prepared like prize tables or microphones for your presentation just let the golf ops staff know.

8 Catering DIY BBQ you are welcome to use our BBQ facilities to feed your crew before, during or after golf. If you don t want the hassle of doing this yourself though the Tavern Brasserie will have an option to suit your needs. Please discuss catering options further with our golf ops team if required. Cancellations/ Decrease in Numbers We understand that life happens, so if you need to cancel your booking please do so by ing: peter@linksshellcove.com.au We are not trying to sting you, however, we do not want to get burnt. So if cancellation is made within 10 days of your booking, your credit card on file will be charged 50% of the total price including catering. If your group has been given a discount based on booking numbers and your group arrives with a decrease in numbers of greater than 25% the discount rate will be forfeited and your group will be charged the applicable standard rate.
