2 INVITATION OPEN MINIGOLF AFRICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS July 27 th -29 th, 2018 PROMOTER: ORGANIZER: LOCATION OF COURSE: MINIGOLF SYSTEM: CATEGORIES: Africa Minigolf Sport Federation together with World Minigolf Sport Federation Ghana Mini Golf Federation (GMF) No. 4 William Tubman Avenue, Ridge Accra, Ghana Minigolf Open Standard (adventuregolf) African Championships: Individual Stroke Play categories: - Youth girls (players born 1999 and later) - Youth boys (players born 1999 and later) - General class women (players born 1998 and earlier) - General class men (players born 1998 and earlier) Mixed Pairs Team category: - 1 Woman or Youth Girl player and 1 Man or Youth Boy form a team It is possible to create the team from general class players and youth class players. Mixed team players must be participants of individual category of African Championships. Open African Championships: Individual Stroke Play categories: - Youth girls - Youth boys - General class women - General class men In this Open African Championship a category has to be played, if it has at least one player from outside of Africa. The players who participate in African Championships, participate in this category automatically. Mixed Pairs Team category: - 1 Woman or Youth Girl player and 1 Man or Youth Boy form a team In this category Open African Championship has to be played, if it has at least one team from outside Asia The teams who participate in African Championships, participate in this category automatically. President s Trophy (African Match Play Championships) All participants of African Championships (men and women mixed in one category) participate automatically in the qualification of President s Trophy. Players with best 32 total scores of the stroke play championship qualify for the President s Trophy. President s Trophy is played as match play in k.o. format. page 2 of 8

3 PARTICIPATION: African Championships: Full members of the Africa Minigolf Sport Federation Also players from African candidate members can request for participation African Open Championships: Open to all WMF active members and WMF registrars REGISTRATION: VISA ENQUIRIES: PRACTICING FEE: PARTICIPATION FEE: Until June 30th, 2018 compulsory with form enclosed To: To: If participants need visa for travelling to take part at the championships, please send information including all necessary data VERY EARLY!! All that is needed is a scan of your passport picture page via and your visa-on-arrival will be delivered within ten working days. EUR 6 or GHC 30 per day EUR 55 or GHC 300 for players EUR 55 or GHC 300 for coaches and officials. Participation fees are non-refundable. ACCOMMODATION: Ghana Minigolf Federation (GMF) will coordinate all arrangements in collaboration with the Africa Minigolf Sport Federation, all hotel bookings and will post before end of May list of hotels close to the championship minigolf course & clubhouse. Important conditions: Generally players from all active members and registrars of the WMF can take part by registration through the sport organization of the country concerned, as long as this sport organization came up to their obligations towards the continental federation and WMF. The worldwide international sport rules of WMF including supplementary rules and worldwide international sport regulations are applied for the African and Open African Championships. In particular please note the regulations for the World and Continental Championships of WMF. Each participant or for minors their legal guardian must have signed the forms for acceptance of WADA-code 2015 as well as media coverage and accept the WMF anti-doping regulations in current version. Sport shoes and uniform team sports clothing appropriate for minigolf are required during official practice time and tournament. Only sports hats are allowed. WEDNESDAY, July 25 th, :00 am 06:00 pm official nations training 02:00 pm last possibility for written complaints regarding lanes 03:00 pm inspection of the lanes by the AMSF representative and a member of the organizer 06:00 pm Deadline for registration of all players, officials and coaches 07:00 pm Opening ceremony THURSDAY, July 26 th, :00 am 06:00 pm official nations training 12:00 am technical meeting for team captains 01:00 pm latest payment of practicing fee FRIDAY, July 27 th, 2018 FIRST DAY OF COMPETITION Individual stroke play and mixed team championships: 09:00 am 3 rounds for all participants starting order: female youth, male youth, women, men, SATURDAY, July 28 th, 2018 SECOND DAY OF COMPETITION FINAL DAY OF STROKE PLAY AND MIXED TEAMS CHAMPIONSHIPS (AFRICAN AND OPEN) Individual stroke play and mixed teams championships: 09:00 am 2 rounds for all participants starting order: female youth, male youth, women, men, in reverse leaderboard order from day 1 end of qualifying rounds of stroke play, President s Trophy and mixed teams championships Necessary individual sudden-death for qualifying to the President s Trophy right after the end of competition Final round of the mixed teams championship African Championships: for the best 4 mixed teams of the qualification Open African Championships: for all 4 qualified African teams plus the best 4 non-african teams, provided their scores were good enough to make the cut of the African Championships final. One round to be played in mixed-format strokeplay (playing player inside the team changes after every stroke on the lane and the teeing-off player inside the team changes on every lane). The score of this round will be added to the total team score of the qualifying rounds. page 4 of 8

5 Final round of individual stroke play championships African Championships: for the best 6 youth girls, 6 youth boys, 6 women and 9 men after the qualification rounds Open African Championships: For all qualified African players plus all non-african players who would have made the cut of the African Championships final in their respective categories One round to be played in strokeplay format. The score of the final round is added to the total score of the qualifying rounds. SUNDAY, July 29 th, 2018 THIRD DAY OF COMPETITION FINAL DAY OF PRESIDENT S TROPHY (AFRICAN MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP FOR AFRICAN PLAYERS ONLY) 09:00 am first round of President s Trophy for the qualified 32 African players across all categories and subsequently the following rounds according to the regular cup bracket (1 vs 32, 2 vs 31 etc ) 08:00 pm closing ceremony including all victory ceremonies page 5 of 8
