7 Princes Local Rules 1.OUT OF BOUNDS a) Over all boundary fences including the seashore at the 1st and 2nd holes on the SHORE course. Otherwise the seashore is not out of bounds. b) Both the old and new clubhouses and on or over all surrounding footpaths and car parks 2.WATER HAZARDS (Rule 26) All water hazards are marked with yellow stakes. LATERAL WATER HAZARDS All lateral water hazards are marked with red stakes 3.BUNKERS (Rule 24-1) Stones in bunkers are moveable obstructions 4.WRONG PUTTING GREENS (Rule 25-3) Should your ball land on the wrong green or apron, you must lift and drop your ball not less than 2 club lengths outside the apron of the green and not nearer the hole. In addition both the putting greens alongside the old and new clubhouses are wrong greens 5.ROADS (Rule 24-2) All roads shown on the map of the course on the score card are immovable obstructions, the ball shall be dropped within 1 club length of the edge of the obstruction nearest to where the ball lay, but not nearer the hole. All other tracks are an integral part of the course and there is no relief. 6.POP-UP SPRINKLERS (Rule 24-2) All pop-up sprinklers are immovable obstructions and relief from these maybe obtained under rule RABBIT FENCE (5th & 6th Himalayas) You may take relief in accordance with rule 24-2 Immovable Obstruction- Relief through the green

9 Dress code at Princes Princes 1. No denim clothing or trainers are permitted in the Clubhouse or on the Golf Course 2. Spiked Golf shoes may be worn on the Ground Floor of the Clubhouse. 3. In the Main Lounge or Restaurant no caps/hats or shorts. 4. On the Golf Course gentlemen are permitted to wear tailored shorts when worn with white sports socks or any knee length socks. 5. Shirts must have collars and be tucked in at the waist. Registration Room off the spike bar, can also be accessed from the outside front ( sea side) Please come and register at least 1/2 an hour before your tee time. 10 British Schools Team Finals & Players Championships Stroke Play Championship for the Trophy 1. CONDITIONS OF PLAY (a) The Championship shall be played by Stroke Play over 18 holes at the Finals Venues (b) The Individual winner shall be the competitor who returns the lowest score over 18 holes. In the event of a tie for first place after 18 holes the deciding score will be on count back over the last 9 holes. In the event of a tie after count back there will be a sudden death playoff on the 18th hole until a winner is decided (c) The Team event will be the best 4 scores from each team (d) Parents and teachers may watch from a suitable distance but may not interfere with play or give advice (g) Serious breeches of golf etiquette may result in disqualification 2. TROPHIES AND PRIZES Teams The winning School / College (will hold the British Schools National Finals Trophy for one year) Net winner School / College ( will hold the Trophy for one year) Individuals 1st best gross score after 18 holes. 2nd best gross score over 18 holes. 3rd best gross score over 18 holes. 1st Girl best gross score after 18 holes Trophies and Prizes will be presented as soon as possible after the end of play, when all winners will be expected to be present. Trophies and prizes not collected at prize giving will be kept over for next year s event 3. QUALIFICATION To be eligible to compete all players must be:- Under the age of 25 at 00:00 hours on 1st January in the year in which the Championship is to be played, and be a full time current student at the School / College they represent.

11 4. ENTRIES All schools will have qualified in the British Schools Matchplay League stages to compete at the National Finals. 5. WINNERS RESPONSIBILITIES The Winning Schools will be responsible for the Trophies from the time it is presented until it is relinquished. They shall also ensure that the Trophy is returned to the ISGA in readiness for the following year s event. 6.RULES AS PER THE R&A Local rules will be supplied on the day of the competition and in the itinerary sent to all schools / colleges 7.CANCELLATION The ISGA will not be held responsible for any cancellation due to unforeseen weather or acts of God. All practical arrangements will be made to complete the tournament Schools / Colleges that reach the National Finals must attend the finals except under exceptional circumstances. Schools / Colleges that fail to attend may not be invited to play in future events for a period of 2 years 8.BOYS AND GIRLS After much deliberation and contact with all the major golf unions and the R&A the following applies Boys play off the white tees (Medal tees of the day), Girls off the Red tees (Ladies tees of the day) Gross scores count for both with no allowance Nett team event the girls scores will be adjusted according to the SSS (1 shot) The Girls will play for a separate trophy in the Players Championship 9.RANGE FINDERS No ipods / mobile devises maybe used during playing rounds Measuring devices for distance ONLY may be used at the permission of the host course. Slope adjusting devices will not be permitted, and any player found using them will be disqualified from the event. 10. ETIQUETTE Good etiquette is required by all players and schools. Serious breach of etiquette could result in individuals or teams not being invited to play in future competitions. No schools / Colleges may use our events for any commercial gain or approach any individual with a view to poaching. Breach of above will lead to suspension of school from ISGA competitions for 3 years subject to review. The ISGA reserve the right to disallow individuals or teams from participating in any of their competitions if previous breaches of the above have taken place Please observe the dress code at the host clubs as all students not only represent the ISGA but their school / College The decision of the organisers is Final

12 11.CHILD PROTECTION PHOTOGRAPHY The Independent Schools Golf Association recognises the need to ensure the welfare and safety of all children and young people in sport. In accordance with our child protection policy we will not permit photographs, video or other images of children and young people to be taken without the consent of their school The Independent Schools Golf Association will take all necessary measures to ensure these images are used solely for the purposes they are intended. For example use on the ISGA websites, golf magazines reporting results. All Schools / Colleges must be aware of the Children in Golf Child Protection Policy and Procedures and guidelines in relation to away competition/tournaments. All Schools / Colleges acknowledge that the Independent Schools Golf Association will not be liable in the event of any accident or loss during any competition/tournament. Emergency First Aid / Medical Treatment All Schools / Colleges must have medical procedures in place for the needs of each individual that takes part in any ISGA competition. By entering an ISGA competition all schools / Colleges agree that photographic consent has been given for their pupils The National Finals will be a qualifying event for handicap purposes under the sanction of England Golf Please fill in the Child protection form and back to us
