CREPUSCULEDESDIEUX - Won a Class D race at Marseille Vivaux early in December and three decent efforts since then. In good form at the moment but plenty weight to carry 2. ALI SPIRIT - Was in very good form last year winning six races races including a handicap here last February. Well beaten in a Class D race here this month 3. WALEC - Genuine six time winner from twenty six career starts but not at his best here earlier this month. Is slipping back down the handicap 4. DIWAY - In top form lately winning three in a row towards the end of last year. A good run when second to Attilas in a Class E handicap here last month and cannot be ruled out today

2 5. OMMOY - Dual winner from just the seven starts and placed in all three runs since returning after a break. Makes his handicap debut today and looks well treated by the handicapper 6. KAYENNE - Consistent mare that was second to Its All Class in a Class D handicap on the turf here last month. Enters the equation with solid place claims 7. YUME - Has won three of his last five two handicaps at Lyon La Soie and a Class E race on the turf here earlier this month. Can run in to a place today 8. ARVIOS - Sixth of eighteen behind Its All Class in a Class D handicap here on the turf last month. That was a decent effort and he is respected here 9. APRILIOS - A close second of twelve behind Shanawest in a Class E handicap over course and distance last month. That was a good effort and he is capable on his day 10. KERAVNOS - Ten time winner from forty nine career starts including a Class D handicap at Deauville in December. Was raised 3.5 Kg after that ans struggled here last time out 11. FLAG FEN - Won three handicaps in 2017 including one here last February. Form tailed off a bit but is dropping back down the handicap and a good run here last time out 12. IMPRIMEUR - Well beaten twelfth of sixteen behind Mezidon in a Class D handicap here last time out. Consistent in handicaps before that but plenty to do today 13. IL PITTORE - Has been running well in handicaps last year. Competitive off this mark and on this surface and a fair fourth behind Shanawest in a Class E handicap here this month 14. SIYAKA - Has won four of her twenty one career starts and acquitted herself well in a Class D handicap at Deauville in December. Tough test here today 15. TAKADIYR - Lightly raced with four wins from ten career starts and a couple of creditable efforts on the turf here this year. Might find a few too good here today 16. XOTIC - Last of seven here on the turf behind Yume in a Class E race last time out. Dropping down the handicap and can have a say here off this mark Although disappointing on the turf here recently (16) XOTIC ran well when third behind Its All Class in a Class D handicap on the turf here last month. Well handicapped at the moment the bottom weight gets a tentative vote ahead of (11) FLAG FEN who looked back to form here last time out and cannot be discounted. (4) DIWAY is rising up in the handicap but is in excellent form and must be respected. (5) OMMOY and (7) YUME are two more to consider.

4 Race 2 1. KYVON DES AIGLES - Well beaten in a handicap on turf here last time out and has too much to find 2. JOE THE TINKER - Unplaced in a maiden at Chantilly in December and needs more to feature in this line-up. Outsider 3. MAGNETIQUE - Not sighted on debut on fibresand last November and a poor run here on the turf last month 4. STANTO - Third behind Diamond Wine on his debut at Pau in December but a poor run there since 5. FORBAN DU LARGE - Three modest efforts before a fair third on the turf here this month. Not ruled out 6. MAKENZO - A good second at Lyon La Soie early last month but disappointed here twice since then 7. INVITO A SORPRESA - Placed a few times in Italy but hard to recommend here on his French debut 8. MA PETITE TOSCANE - Had some decent form before disappointing on the sand here and at Deauville 9. WUAYRA - Unplaced on her debut at Deauville in December and likely to find a few too good today 10. LA BELLE MAYSON - Has shown glimpses of ability in UK and five starts in France. Can run in to a place 11. TISHKA - Disappointing on her debut at Deauville in December and again at Chantilly last month 12. LONG ISLAND - Creditable third on her handicap debut here seven days ago and must be respected today After finishing third here to Batwan in a maiden last month (12) LONG ISLAND finished in the same position here on her handicap debut last week. She seems to enjoy this surface and can break her maiden tag today. (5) FORBAN DU LARGE showed plenty improvement last time out and looks the main danger. 6 Race 3 1. KENSHOW - Won twice last year and sixth here on reappearance. Must come into it again 2. ROYAL WESTMINSTER - A newcomer by Rip Van Winkle who is best watched on debut with view to future 3. SILVER GIRL - Placed on first three runs in Italy but poor on first try in this country 4. KAINECAMACHO - She has won four times in Italy including three times at Naples in last four runs 5. THAT'S THE WONDER - He has not shown enough in three runs to merit consideration here today 6. BABY SILVY - Rattled up a hat trick around the turn of the year and should be competitive 7. ZINIA DEI GRIF - One win from nine and would have every chance if forgiving below par effort latest run In reality this should take very little winning but which one will do it? A bit of a flyer is taken on the quadruple Italian winner (4) KAINECAMACHO who finished last season by blitzing in in three of last four tries. She is value to see off (1) KENSHOW who is likely to start favourite. (7) ZINIA DEI GRIF and (6) BABY SILVY should be close by too. 7 Race 4 1. TIMELAST - Dual winner in native Italy and fair first effort on these shores so might do better 2. FASTIDIOUS - Won once from nine last year and in the process showed a lot of ability. Respected 3. BATWAN - Improved on two sixth place finishes to hose up in a maiden here last time so sets the standard 4. KOUTSOUNAKOS - Has won two from four including first start in handicap here latest. That takes a bit of doing 5. RIVER CANNES - A dual winner from six and finished in front of a few of these last time. Big shout 6. MONEY SISTER - She is one from seven and up close fourth on reappearance at Chantilly 7. CEAD MILE FAILTE - Won on first two runs last season but not so bright since then which is worrying It was hard not to be impressed by the turn of foot that (3) BATWAN showed here last month to break his duck at the third time of asking. That was a much improved effort but there is no reason to believe that he will not back it up and turn around previous form with(5) RIVER CANNES and (4) KOUTSOUNAKOS who could go well at a price. 8 Race 5 1. TASSILI N'AJJER - Runner up in his last two starts at Pau and that has to count for something surely 2. VUE DU CIEL - Soumillon takes the mount on this many times raced maiden but has been running well 3. SILVER POKER - Just the one success from thirty one and others make much more appeal here 4. MAKAT POKER - She is a dual winner from two dozen runs and ran well here last time for a place 5. CHARLIE STAR - Placed in four of her seven runs and today could very easily be the day it all sticks 6. CHARLY - Just the one success from thirteen and is slipping towards mid table mediocrity again 7. GASCON - Runner up in penultimate start of seven runs and will be hoping for more of the same 8. EGESTA - She is just one from fifteen and latest effort does need some explaining 9. ROCK YOUR DREAM - Runner up on penultimate start which was at Deauville last year and has definite claims 10. VERY DEAL - Very little of note in ten runs and surely there are others that have better claims here 11. GRAIMBOUVILLE - Won on debut at Pau over a year ago but it has been a battle all the way since 12. TEMPETE DE PLUMES - She is zero from twenty one and the wait looks set to continue for longer 13. VINGT NEUF - Has been unplaced on all four runs and there seems to be no point in supporting here 14. KILLING JOKE - Just the one win from thirty eight but has been firing in some good runs to be fair 15. PARINACOTA - She is zero from seventeen and will definitely remain that way after this run This looks like it might be the day to lump on (5) CHARLIE STAR to break her maiden status on her eighth start having previously gone close on other occasions. She looks well handicapped for sure. (2) VUE DU CIEL has more

10 Race 6 1. PER PERDES - Third in a claimer here last time to go with a few other placings last term 2. VOLSTORA - She is a dual winner from twenty six and placed twice here recently. Must be respected 3. POUDREUSE - Still a maiden after twenty but one place and comfortably ahead of Per Perdes last time 4. TROIS ROSES - One win from eleven but needs a major step up on recent form to hold out hope 5. CHIQUIT INDIAN - Just the one win from thirty six but others look better placed here today 6. DISCO FLASH - A dual winner from thirty one and did show a bit more last time out but needed too 7. BLUE MONTY - Placed just once in nine outings and that will not suffice at all here so opposed 8. MAIGVIL - Still a maiden after sixteen but was good runner up here last time and can be fancied 9. RULER - Two third placings from six outings and that may be best hope once more here too 10. AMIROS - He is zero from thirteen and looks to be on a downward spiral all the time 11. ELENA BERE - Little or nothing in sixteen runs and surely one to be tossed aside again today This is hardly the most competitive race ever run at this venue. Christophe Soumillon takes the seat on the hitherto sixteen times raced maiden (8) MAIGVIL who did run much better last time out and the hint should be taken with the champion on board. 11 Race 7 1. FRENCH REFLECTION - Off the mark here the last time a few days ago and must be on the shortlist 2. RASTER - Placed in four of his six runs and sure to be right up there this time too 3. RUDY MAN - Runner up in one of four outings but a little more needed now to go one better 4. PORT DEAUVILLE - Just the one place in seven tries and basically must do a whole lot better 5. VISMIE DE LA VIS - Tenth on only outing which was at this venue so that form would not suffice 6. ANOTHERFORTHEROAD - Placed in three of his ten runs and should be on the premises once again 7. BHINDI - Placed once in the UK but not so good in two runs this side of the pond There was plenty to like about the winning performance that was put up be (1) FRENCH REFLECTION at this venue the other day and being the only winner in the line up only adds more to her chances of a quick repeat. (2) RASTER will be fancied by many and rightly so too. (6) ANOTHERFORTHEROAD and (3) RUDY MAN should grab some money. 12 Race 8 1. BABEL'S BOOK - Made it career win number two at Deauville last time which was in October 2. WELL FLEECED - A five time winner from forty nine and has placed in last three including here 3. RED KITTEN - Four time winner from twenty four and has finished runner up in last two claimers here 4. WEEKEN - Eight time winner from forty six but has completely blown out last few times 5. VADANOR - Good hit rate with nine from eighty two and has started this year well too 6. MULTICOLOR - He is five from fifty three but has not been shaping as if a win is imminent 7. JIOSCO - Nine time winner from seventy seven and did take penultimate start here 8. SANTORINA - Thrice a winner from thirty three but finished last season on a downbeat note 9. ROCKYL - He is a six time winner from thirty nine but is on a long losing sequence at the moment 10. VIKING QUEST - A nine time winner in a hugely busy career and also runner up in last two here 11. KARYNIA - She is a triple winner from thirty five but not on the best roll presently 12. KHARKOV - Made it win number two from a dozen attempts here earlier in the month so big shout again 13. PRINCESS EMMA - She is a triple winner from forty three but in terrible form right now Punters will be hoping that (2) WELL FLEECED is not badly named with a view to putting their hard earned on in this closing contest. The gelding has put in some good efforts in recent months and looks like a type that is ready to draw. (3) RED KITTEN and (5) VADANOR are in good form and carry a big threat. (1) BABEL'S BOOK must be counted in too. Selections

DINO DU CHATEAU - Pleased late summer but a disappointment since returning to competition and must raise his game 2. CIRCE DE CHANJAC - Not the most productive of horses but showed improvement at Argentan last time. Faces a tougher bunch here but the front-line start will do her prospects no harm 3. DREAM BLUE - Useful sort that made a fine re-entry at Saint-Brieuc recently. In better company but breaks from the front this time and will justifiably garner support 4. COQUINE DU HIREL - Has placed just once from six under the saddle but goes unshod behind this time and should generate some interest 5. CONGO - Has looked decidedly ordinary since the autumn and appears to have little to offer 6. CALIN DES MOISSONS - Has raced moderately well so far this winter. Is barefoot for the occasion and if at his best can pick up a minor stake 7. CORADO DES CAMBRES - Back at the top of his game following a lean spell. Scored under harness mid-january and in similar form can finish in the mix 8. CAGLIOSTRO - Modest type that seldom does anything of note and is not about to change his ways 9. CONCERTO STAR - Respectable trotter in both codes and in this company could yet make the frame 10. CAID DU RIB - Well-regarded sort but very complicated. Yet to find his way in the discipline but it will only be a matter of time 11. DARK DREAM - Lightly raced individual that won first time under the saddle. Comes here off an impressive success under harness and can add another to his tally 12. CALIFORNIE - Has performed solidly all winter. Incurs the penalty but still a major player

15 (11) DARK DREAM has shown himself to be a very useful dual-purpose trotter and given how well he has performed in recent months will not be easy to oppose. Of the others (12) CALIFORNIE looks the principal danger considering how well she has acquitted herself in Paris this winter. After pleasing under harness on comeback (9) CONCERTO STAR benefits from a 25m advantage here and should give a competitive account. (6) CALIN DES MOISSONS is no slouch either and in this modest bunch can pick up some stake money. Selections (11) DARK DREAM - (12) CALIFORNIE - (9) CONCERTO STAR - (6) CALIN DES MOISSONS

16 Race 2 1. FUSION DE GREZ - Courageous winner first time out on difficult ground. Meets a tougher group this time but still one to note 2. FILEAS D'OSMOZ - Kicked his career off successfully and was not disgraced in either start at Vincennes. Comes here fresh and looks to be in with a decent shout 3. FEERIE DARCHE - Useful filly making just her second start under harness but unlikely to shake things up 4. FIRST D'OCCAGNES - Has been knocking at the door of late. Finished runner-up to (6) FEAR FACTOR last time and should not be underestimated 5. FLOBART DU TOULAY - Yet to show any great aptitude for the game and will have too much to do 6. FEAR FACTOR - Sprang a surprise beating (4) FIRST D'OCCAGNES on debut last month and can again play a leading role 7. FLECHE BOURBON - Won comfortably on debut at Angers earlier in the month and despite the wide draw can double her money 8. FURIENZA - Moderate filly that has yet to be tested over this distance and unlikely to influence the result 9. FINE MELODIE - Posted her best result in a minor event ten days ago but still not an obvious choice 10. FLEURON D'ACADIE - Pleased over longer at Cabourg last month. Has had time to freshen up and will have his supporters 11. FLASH D'ARZAL - Untried colt that qualified smartly three weeks ago. Not ideally placed but not to be ignored either 12. FANTASIA DU PARC - No closer than fifth in either harness start to date and will struggle to leave her mark 13. FORMULE SPORT - Showed a different side to herself at Argentan early February and will generate some interest 14. FERIA D'ANAMA - Sanctioned in all four racecourse appearances and will not be easy to back (7) FLECHE BOURBON flew up at Angers on debut early this month and while not ideally placed behind the car on this occasion still has the class to win this. She will however be pitted against the Franck Leblanc pair of (6) FEAR FACTOR and (1) FUSION DE GREZ who both looked serious prospects on their

17 respective successful debuts. (2) FILEAS D'OSMOZ has a good spot in front and although not having taken Paris by storm he returns to a more suitable track and cannot be discounted. Selections (7) FLECHE BOURBON - (6) FEAR FACTOR - (1) FUSION DE GREZ - (2) FILEAS D'OSMOZ

18 Race 3 1. ELECTHOR D'EVA - Found the going tough when stepped up in class. Unseen since early October and no threat 2. EROS DU CHOQUEL - Somewhat indisciplined but has ample talent. Wellplaced in front but unraced since the summer and unlikely to set off any fireworks 3. ELBOY STAR - Failed to fire in Paris but will be more at home under these conditions and from the 3-spot can make a big impact 4. EMPIRE LEBEL - Has shown significantly better aptitude in the claiming division and after an 8-months' break will have little to offer 5. ESPRIT DIVIN - Very consistent for the past two months. Opened his account early February and is well-placed to give this a good go 6. ERWOOD DU VIVIER - Smartly-bred colt that has won both starts to date. Unseen since the summer but has ample class and can make it three on the trot 7. ESOPE - Can prove a handful but has won his last two and after having had time to freshen up will have a realistic chance of securing the hat-trick 8. EQUIANO - Winner of both races he has finished and if Nivard can keep him in check he could prove something of a spoiler 9. ENZO DHELPA - Still a maiden from 19 and just once in the frame. No realistic chance 10. EUSEBIO DU ROUMOIS - Useful colt that got off the mark late last month. Steps up in class and although on the back line can still make his presence felt 11. EL PRESIDENTE - Moderate trotter that has not graced a racecourse since September and will need the run 12. EMIR DU PRESSOIR - Opened his account in a Class E at Cabourg late December. Is not blessed with a good draw but should generate some interest 13. ELIXIR DU BOCAGE - Made a fine comeback before losing his action at Chateaubriant but must not be overlooked 14. ELVIS DU TOULAY - Not the most reliable horse in the field and latest efforts do nothing to inspire confidence The beautifully-bred (6) ERWOOD DU VIVIER has done everything asked of him to date and although unraced since July can still maintain his unbeaten run. The delicate (7) ESOPE starts just to his outer but has won his last two and with application could well have his measure and pull off the three-timer. (3) ELBOY STAR benefits from a better spot on the front line and the return to the provinces

19 should work to his advantage. (5) ESPRIT DIVIN has been very consistent in recent months and although in better company here should still acquit himself competitively. Selections (6) ERWOOD DU VIVIER - (7) ESOPE - (3) ELBOY STAR - (5) ESPRIT DIVIN

20 Race 4 1. ETOILE DAMOURLONDE - Has enjoyed a change in fortune since going barefoot. Left a good impression last time and from the inside line looks a player 2. ETOILE MONTAVAL - Unremarkable filly that has not been seen out for over three months and will need the race 3. EUROPA DE CHENU - Has placed just once from eight under harness and although having encouraged last time must still raise her game 4. ELINA DE MALAC - Has struggled with form since the autumn. Was not disgraced at Angers last time but must still show improvement 5. EMPREINTE - Not the most reliable but can trot. Is well-placed in front and if in form will have her chances 6. EASY AND NICE ER - Handy filly that does not lack aptitude and should be able to make the first five 7. ETOILE DU PUY - Opened her account nicely at Argentan earlier in the month and in similar condition can again make her presence felt 8. EMERAUDE - Has taken well to her new vocation. Missed out by little last time and should not be underestimated 9. ENGADINE - Sanctioned more often than not but ability is not in doubt. Hind shoes off for the first time and redemption distinctly possible 10. EVER DE L'ORMERIE - Showed a lot of promise last spring but very disappointing since and no realistic chance 11. ELECTION COQUINE - One of the more modest elements in the field and will have little to offer 12. EXQUISE LADY - Showed promise last year and reaffirmed at Argentan last month. Starts on the back line but still has enough class to make it two on the trot 13. EWILLYA BEST - Has demonstrated excellent aptitude so far. Comes here on a treble and if fully fit can overcome the draw and impose 14. EUROPE MESLOISE - Winner of two of her last three. Could have hoped for a better draw but one to note all the same (13) EWILLYA BEST is a filly with a bright future and after a short breather following two straight successes she could defy the draw and make it three in a row. She can nonetheless expect significant opposition from recent Argentan winner who is similarly poorly situated on the second line. (1) ETOILE DAMOURLONDE has turned a corner since starting to race barefoot and from

21 the inside line can make the frame. (5) EMPREINTE is something of an outside chance but when in form is a tough adversary. Selections (13) EWILLYA BEST - (12) EXQUISE LADY - (1) ETOILE DAMOURLONDE - (5) EMPREINTE

22 Race 5 1. DAMOCLES DE ZIETTE - Capricious sort with some ability but latest string of sanctions does nothing to inspire confidence 2. DANSEUR GAVRAIS - Not much to like on his formsheet of late and unlikely to worry the opposition 3. DENZO HEULINOIS - Only once out of the frame when applied. Still a maiden but is well placed in front and looks a serious player 4. DOCK AMERICAIN - Has previously won under these conditions but has been off the boil for some time and can be ruled out 5. DIEGO DU NOYER - Showed a different side to himself at Argentan behind the good Dark Dream early February. Goes barefoot again and must be afforded respect 6. DOUBLE CHARM - Modest individual that has not been seen out since early November and unlikely to shake things up 7. DICO MONA - Still a maiden from 33 and in current form can be confidently written off 8. DIGNITAIRE - Regularly shows a lack of discipline but otherwise thereabouts and on good behaviour could pick up a cheque 9. DICARIO DU DOUET - Complicated trotter but has ability and can play a small role if he can keep his action together 10. DERBY DU MAINE - Placed just once from six this winter and although on the front line here still has a lot more to find 11. DAKI DU DORAT - Moderate type that has not been seen out since early October and will need the race 12. DEGANAWIDAH - In the frame in both starts this month. In better company on this occasion but will have his supporters 13. DITARASU DESJY - Just one win from 28 but has started to show more and could get a look in 14. DONATELLO KILY - Talented sort that is beginning to get back in the game following a series of sanctions and if applied could lift this 15. DERBY MADRIK - Just once out of the first four in his last five. Went close at Challans ten days ago and should again figure prominently On paper (14) DONATELLO KILY may not be the most attractive prospect here but he began to look like his old self at Chateaubriant last time and with

23 application could win this. Failing that it will be up to the hardy (15) DERBY MADRIK to pick up the baton and given current form will be a tough opponent even from the second line. Although yet to win a race (3) DENZO HEULINOIS has proved a tough campaigner and with Wiels in charge can be assured a competent drive. (5) DIEGO DU NOYER gave a fine account recently when barefoot for the first time and is another for the shortlist. 24 Race 6 1. DAKOTA JACK - Respectable on re-entry ten days ago but will still need to take his game up a notch 2. DESSINATEUR - Still a maiden from 23 and even with hind shoes off will offer no hope 3. DREAM DES HAYES - Modest type that has not produced the goods since late summer and can be passed over 4. DEL SOL GEDE - Made a pleasant comeback at Argentan last month but then failed to confirm and others preferred 5. DIEGO DU COUDOU - Moderate type making his seasonal return but with Monclin in charge will have his supporters 6. DIAMANT DES LANDES - Delicate but has proven himself more than once and if applied can make the first five 7. DIAMANT DU PERCHE - Unexceptional individual that went into his autumn break on a low note and will have nothing to offer 8. DINGUE DE ROCK - Very regular for the most part. Pleased on his only start under these conditions and going barefoot this time can only enhance his prospects 9. DIVIDENDE - Has turned a corner over the past five weeks and in current shape should not be far from the action 10. DAIDOU - Has made excellent progress since returning from a long absence. Breaks from the front and should confirm his Argentan success 11. DIVIN DU RENOUARD - Consistently productive trotter that races unshod behind for the first time and despite the handicap can go close 12. DELGADO FLIGNY - Undeniably capable but unplaced in last two and must show improvement 13. DYNAROCK - Can trot but off the boil since winning at Angers in November and can be passed over 14. DYNAMIC CHARM - Moderate sort that has raced just once since September and with shoes on is unlikely to shake things up 15. Makes seasonal comeback but is barefoot for the occasion and looks a serious player 17. BLACKARO - Reassured connections at the end of the autumn. Off since but should not be too far off the mark 18. BAYOKOS ATOUT - Complicated individual but has won his last three going

Stays shod but has a very good entry and if applied can win this (18) BAYOKOS ATOUT may be something of a delicate soul but he has won his last three racing clockwise and on good behaviour should have this in the bag. He can nonetheless expect to encounter resistance from the tough (16) BOL D'OR OF LOVE who is barefoot for his first start since the spell. Will have come on for her re-entry and will garner support 4. CHARLESTON PIYA - Not easy to knock when racing barefoot. Comes here fresh and from the front row should make his presence felt 5. CONCERTO GEDE - Went into his spell on a good note and recently picked up where he left off. Goes over longer this time but worth consideration nonetheless 6. CHABADA FRANCE - Not the most productive of horses in this discipline and can be ruled out 7. CYBELE DE JANVRIE - Just one blip on her formsheet this season. Left a good impression at Challans ten days ago and will not have to give away 25m this time. Minor place chance 8. CENTURI - Highly consistent mare that has raced just once in the last 15 months. Will need the run but one to monitor all the same 9. CLEZIO JOSSELYN - Useful type on a good day. Is barefoot for comeback with Nivard in the wagon and can make the most of his first-line position 10.
