Both lose ground, as the field fans out in the back straight. PUSH ME (2) and DODGY DIAMONDS (10) contest the lead with PUSH ME (2) prevailing in the home straight. In the back straight BACKCREEK BANDIT (2) shifts out checking DRINKING ROCKETS (7) heavily, causing DRINKING ROCKETS (7) to lose considerable ground and momentum. In the top turn MISS CASH (5) pushes forward and prevails. BONNIE NOSE BEST (8) was examined by the GWIC Veterinary Surgeon and found to be suffering no apparent injury STEFFI S ANGEL (4) fell in the catching pen and was examined by the GWIC Veterinary Surgeon and found to be suffering no apparent injury. Shortly after the start KINGSBRAE BIDDY (2) and DAVID LYNDAN (7) close together, squeezing RED COAT (6) for a run, they race tight past the catching pen before DAVID LYNDAN (7) pushes forward and RED COAT (6) and KINGSBRAE BIDDY (2) drop rearward. In the home turn RED COAT (6) and KINGSBRAE BIDDY (2) race tight. RED COAT (6) pushes forward catching DAVID LYNDAN in the home straight before RED COAT (6) shifts down near the finish line making shoulder contact with DAVID LYNDAN(7) before heading for the rail. In the back straight VALLEY KNOCKIN (1) moves forward and takes up the lead. In the home straight RAVEN LOCH (2) surges forward and prevails on the line. VALLEY KNOCKIN (1) was examined by the GWIC Veterinary Surgeon and no injury was apparent. ADIOS DORADO (1) and LIGHTNING SANDS (2) race tight in the back straight and into the home turn, where KULU COOPER (7) pushes forward on the rail, coming into contact with ADIOS DORADO (1), who is pushed up the track. KULU COOPER (7) and LIGHTNING SANDS (2) come into contact as BAZAAR MCKENZIE (8) pushes forward on the outside prevailing. TRANQUIL BUDDY (6) shifts down quickly contacting LUMINESCENCE (5), as GLORIOUS IZMIR (8) pushes forward on the outside, taking the lead for the remainder of the event. Approaching the first turn PHANTOM PETE (3) switches off the heels of LUMINESCENCE (5) contacting DOUBLE TAKE (7) who is pushed wide. As a result KRANKY (6) becomes unbalanced losing ground. At the catching pen BARNACLE VALLEY (4) switches off the heels of RUBY RIDGE (7) and then off the heels of PUSH ME PEDRO (8). As a result BARNACLE VALLEY (4) loses momentum. FREE IZMIR (1) pushes forward on the home turn winning convincingly.
