Exhibitors are requested to file their entries as soon as possible before entries close. Entries will close on August 29, Management reserves the right to cancel or combine any class that has less than four entries at the closing of entry date. In all equitation classes, entries must be made in the name of the individual who will ride. ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY ALL FEES AND UNLESS PROPERLY AND COMPLETELY FILLED OUT STALL REQUESTS NOT HELD WITHOUT MONEY. STALL RESERVATIONS WILL BE ASSIGNED AS ENTRIES ARE RECEIVED. PLEASE RETURN YOUR STABLING LIST EARLY TO ENSURE YOUR STALLS ARE TOGETHER. FEES All entry fees are stated elsewhere in prize list and under each class or division. POST ENTRIES AND LATE FEES Post entries will be accepted as follows: Management may accept post entries should they be needed to fill a class and show can provide stabling. In such cases there may be an extra charge of $30 per horse entered. Additional entries for horses already entered in the show will be accepted upon approval by management NO LATER THAN THE DAY BEFORE THE CLASS BEING REQUESTED. PAYMENT IN FULL MUST ACCOMPANY ENTRIES. REFUNDS If an entry is to be canceled, the horse show office must receive official notice no later than SEPTEMBER 8, The Show will issue a refund, less the $50 office fee. After this date, the exhibitor shall forfeit his entry fee. In either case, NO REFUNDS WILL BE MADE ON STALL FEES. CHECK OUT Any mistakes at check out must be resolved within 24 hours. No refunds will be given. Please check your bills carefully. STALLS Due to limited space, all horses must show out of a stall. Permanent and portable 10 X 10 stalls with doors will be available. Stall fees of $185 must be paid by the closing date, 8/29/14 IMPORTANT- PLEASE NOTE STALL AVAILABILITY Stalls will be available at 9:00 a.m., Monday, September 8, Stalls must be vacated by 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 14, For your convenience LATE NIGHT ARRIVALS are possible. Pre-orders may be made by calling Tom at (843) Feed and hay may be purchased from Greene s Country Store by calling (636) CAMPER SPOT RESERVATIONS $200 - Call The National Equestrian Center (636) ADDS & SCRATCHES Adds and Scratches may only be made in the Horse Show Office on the Official Form, by letter or by facsimile and must be received prior to the start of the first class entered in. Any other method WILL NOT be considered valid. Once a class begins, it may not be scratched, except for a Vet Scratch. If a Vet Scratch, the horse must be scratched on the same day of the class/ classes and scratched in the Horse Show Office on the Official Form and the Official Vet s Certificate must be received in the Show Office by close of business that day. 2 3
5 MOTORIZED VEHICLES Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of recognized competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The Parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. CREDENTIALS No numbers will be released until proper credentials and all signatures are in order All exhibitors must have their current membership cards with them or a copy thereof, or send a copy of their card with their entry blank. All exhibitors in the pony hunter, junior hunter, adult amateur and amateur owner sections must present a copy of their measurement or amateur certification at the show office before can they pick up their number. Ponies or horses without a current measurement card will be measured at a time and place to be announced. MEASUREMENTS An exhibitor needing a horse or pony measured must make an appointment with the show Steward. WE LOVE DOGS, BUT All dogs must be kept tied or on a leash. Loose dogs may be impounded and their owners charged a $100 fine. FOOTING Rings and warm-up areas are a combination of sand and clay. Main Ring X 245 Ring II X 225 Jumper Ring (Outdoor) x footing all weather JUMP ORDERS A rotating jumping order will be established and posted for all classes over fences. All horses must be ridden in the posted order. Rider or trainers who have conflicts due to multiple entries in a class must see the starter so that necessary adjustments can be made. PRIZE MONEY Prize Money will be credited to each exhibitor s account. Any credit due will be mailed within 30 days following the show. No prize money will be mailed unless owner s (or other designated payee s) social security number and complete address are listed on the entry blank. RIBBONS Hunter and equitation classes - Trophy and ribbons, 1st -8th, Jumper classes - Trophy and Ribbons 1st - 8th, unless noted otherwise. RESPONSIBILITY Under the Equine Liability Act, each participant who engages in an equine activity expressly assumes the risks on engaging in and legal responsibility for injury, loss or damage to the person or property resulting from the risk of equine activities. MEMBER ASSOCIATIONS UNITED STATES EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION MISSOURI HORSE SHOW ASSOCIATION MISSOURI HUNTER JUMPER ORGANIZATION NORTH AMERICAN LEAGUE UNITED STATES HUNTER JUMPER ASSOCIATION Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 nonmember registration fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) lead line; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. Federation entry agreement By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (The Federation ) and the local rules of (Competition). I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Federation and/or the Competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable - casts, broadcasts, Internet, film, new media or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the competition, sport, or the Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. The construction and application of Federation rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any action instituted against the Federation must be filed in New York State. See GR908.4T. The Horse Show Management reserves to itself the right to limit entries in any class, section or division; to refuse, accept conditionally, or to cancel any entries; disqualify any riders or exhibitors; prohibit exhibition of entries, and cancel award prizes, without any claim for damages; to change any course, to add a dotted line, to cancel or combine any unfilled classes, or to reschedule classes, after due notice to exhibitors; to change rings or rotate judges; to change specification in jumper classes as competition warrants. Every horse entered herein for competition will be under the control of the Horse Show Management, but the Show Management will in no case be responsible for any loss or damage that may occur, and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold the horse show and the officials, employees, directors, officers, sponsoring entities of the horse show and the facilities at which the horse show is held blameless for any loss or accident to his horse(s), employee(s), or equipment which may occur from sickness, fire or other cause. While every effort has been made to avoid mistakes in this publication, the USEF, the St. Louis National Charity Horse Show and its management assume no liability to anyone for errors. Any significant errors or changes will be disclosed to competitors whose entries are accepted upon their acceptance, and otherwise in accordance with the USEF rules. EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPEC- IFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT FEDERATION RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. 4 5

Management reserves the right to combine sections with fewer than 6 entries; no sections will be split with fewer than 4 entries. In Handy Classes obstacles will simulate those found in trappy hunting country, horses may be required to trot over an obstacle and may be asked to lead over one obstacle. 10 2014 REGION 5 CENTRAL ASPCA NHSAA MACLAY REGIONAL FINALS Class #600 Open to junior members of the ASPCA/NHSAA who have been certified by the ASPCA/NHSAA as being qualified to compete in the Maclay Regional Championship. All contestants are required to perform over at least eight fences at 3 6 in height with or without wings. A minimum of ten (10) more riders than one-half the number of riders competing in the Regional (not more than twenty-four (24) at a time), if available, are required to show at a walk, trot and canter. The under saddle performance of those riders selected to show under saddle shall count 50%. Only one rider per horse. In addition, one or more riders, at the judges sole discretion, may be required to perform any number of USEF Test If additional workouts are required, the call-back must be limited to only the best ten (10) riders if available. Riders are to be judged on seat, hands, guidance and control of horse. The top ribbon winners, in proportion to the top ribbon winners at other Regional Finals, will be qualified for the ASPCA Maclay Finals. Entries for Regional Championship classes close, and must be received by 5:00 p.m. EST, August 31, at the NHSAA s office. Entries must be on the NHS Official Entry Form, signed, and submitted with the $ per class Entry Fee made payable to the NHSAA. Riders who qualify for Regional Championship classes at any time between August 15 and the final qualifying date of August 31, shall be required to submit entries by 5:00 p.m. EST on September 1. 11 JUMPER DIVISIONS To be eligible for the Jumper Division, horses must be nominated and nominating fee of $150 paid by the closing date of entries. Horses nominated after that date must pay a nominating fee of $175. Nominated horses are eligible to compete in the Children s/adult (High), Junior/Amateur Owner, 1.20m, 1.30m, Jumper Sections; as well as in all Grand Prix, Welcome Stake, and Jumper Classics. No Nominating Fee for horses competing in 1.00m, 1.05m, 1.15m, young jumpers and Children s/adult (Low) sections. Horses must be declared for the class(es) of their choice PRIOR TO THE CLOSE OF THE SHOW OFFICE THE DAY BEFORE THE CLASS(ES) ARE TO BE HELD.
