1 Santa Anita I have my preliminary selections here. These TG sheets are sold in the Gift Santa Anita Shop. Race #6 Hit the Seam This horse just ran a very good race last time on the grass and has run some nice Thorograph (TG) numbers in his career. That last race was a throw-out as dirt is not his game. I expect a nice effort today. #4 Unusually Handsome The ones that have experience have not impressed me. So, let s go with this firster that is impeccably bred for the grass. He has some steady workouts and sure appears to be fit. I love betting progeny of Unusual Heat on the grass and can see this one right there at the wire. #3 Jetovator This first-time starter is decently bred for the grass. He has turned in some nice works and might be good enough to win at first asking. Race #1 I Can Do This He almost did it last time out despite having had some problems along the way. He has really come around of late and can turn the tables on Bellerin for excellent trainer Mark Glatt. #5 Wilshire Dude This one possesses excellent early speed and must avoid getting into a speed duel with Ack. He comes off a nice win the last time he was on the dirt and if he plays his cards right, he can make the exacta. #4 Bellerin If a speed duel does develop, this is the guy that can take advantage. Race Best Bet of the Day #5 Victory Element I love the chances of this colt. He has so many positives in his corner. He has never tried the grass, but I love betting offspring of Pioneer of the Nile first time on the grass. He almost won his debut race and has turned in nothing but solid efforts ever since. Trainer Baffert has this one working sensationally in the mornings and he possesses sharp early speed. I think he will run them off their feet and he is easily my best bet of the day. #2 Overdue Prat jumps aboard this gray that delivered a nice debut on the grass going a bit longer. Prat is one of the best turf riders in the country and will have this one in perfect position. He is the biggest danger to the top pick. #4 Farquhar This guy should be coming from the clouds. He really kicked it in late last time at a mile. This is a much shorter race, but he will be flying late. Might be able to get a piece against these. Race #3 Denman s Call This horse holds a distinct class advantage over the rest of the field. He has run some nice races in the past that would crush these. Glatt as I mentioned before is an excellent trainer and he could have a big day today with several truly live runners. I believe we will see this one in the winner s circle after the race. #5 Bucky s Pick All of this guy s wins have been on the turf and now

2 tries dirt again for the 6 th time. He does have some decent dirt numbers though and can be in the exacta under the guidance of Prat. #4 Facts Matter Steve Knapp is having a banner year. He won again last week and looks to have a super live runner here. He took them wire to wire last out earning a very nice TG number. If he can avoid getting into a speed duel, he could lead them all on a merry chase again today. He will be a big factor here. Look out. Race #2 Causeforcommotion This mare is as reliable as they come. She has been in the money in 10 of her 14 starts. She loves Santa Anita and I love her style. DVD gets a crack at her today and I expect another fine effort. #1 Ahimsa This filly really kicked it in late in the Grade II San Clemente. It really appears that she has some talent and Eurton might just have her ready to fire off the layoff. #3 Love and Peace I bet on this filly last time out and she was a bit of a disappointment. She did run some marvelous races over in France and if she can get back to that form here, she will definitely be a factor. Race #1 Campaign A quick turnaround here for this colt who just ran last week in the Big Cap. He couldn t hang with top routers Gift Box and McKinzie, but certainly fits well with these. Sadler surely would not run this guy here if he wasn t coming out of his skin. He has won before at 1 ½ miles and looks awesome in this Tokyo City Cup. #5 Beach View Looks like an ice-cold exacta as these two are head and shoulders above the rest. He too has a win going this marathon distance and gets first time Prat. One of these two will win, the other will come in second. #4 Arch Prince Someone has to come in third, why not this guy. Race #7 Field Bet The debut race on the grass was very promising. Sadler thought enough of her to plunk down 50 G s and it looks like it might turn out to be a wise investment. Any normal second time out improvement will get the job done here against these. #6 Sapori Girl If the top choice falters, then this one is the fastest of the rest. #1 Persephone Improved a lot when he was sent to the turf for the first time last out. Can compete here. Race #7 Minoso His last races on the dirt really look better than the races that have been run by the rest of them. Especially impressive was that race in the CalCup Sprint. A repeat of that race and they will all be running for second money. Like him the best here on the dirt. #11 Red Envelope He actually beat Minoso last time out, but that race was on the turf. I think that Minoso is much better on dirt, so I look for Minoso to beat this one today. But it won t be easy as this runner also has some fine races over the dirt course. This last race is by far the toughest race on the card. #2 Rinse and Repeat I still can t get that Feb. 17 race out of my mind. He simply exploded down the stretch in a visually impressive race. Can t leave him out of your bets.

Creo que Minoso es mucho mejor en la tierra, así que creo que Minoso va a vencer a este hoy. Pero no será fácil ya que este corredor también tiene algunas carreras muy buenas en esta superficie. Esta última carrera es la carrera más dura de la tarjeta. #2 Rinse and Repeat Todavía no puedo sacar esa carrera del 17 de febrero de mi mente.
