The Quentin Riding Club is located at the junction of PA Routes 72 and 419. From the Pennsylvania Turnpike Lebanon-Lancaster interchange, turn left onto Route 72 North toward Lebanon. Continue on Route 72 North for three miles, enter the show grounds to your right 100 yards past the traffic light. To use a GPS, plug in this address: 29 E. Main St., Lebanon, PA Rules and Regulations QUENTIN RIDING CLUB ALL-BREED FALL HORSE SHOW and QUENTIN RIDING CLUB will not be responsible in any way for loss or damage to any person, animal, property or equipment, and each exhibitor shall assume all liability and hold harmless QUENTIN RIDING CLUB ALL-BREED FALL HORSE SHOW and QUENTIN RIDING CLUB for any loss, damage or injury to any person, animal, property or equipment that may be caused by any horse or pony entered by them or due to carelessness or negligence of the person or persons in charge of such horse or pony, or any of their subordinates or superiors. 1. ENTRIES Entry fee is $10 for qualifying classes and $20 for championship classes. To be eligible for championships horses must have been shown and judged in the appropriate qualifying class. a. Exhibitors must pre-pay all stall fees before the closing date of entries. b. Entries will be accepted at regular entry fees if postmarked by September 3, Entries postmarked and received after that date will be charged a $15 late fee per horse. c. NO NUMBERS WILL BE ISSUED WITHOUT FULL PAYMENT UNLESS A SIGNED OPEN CHECK HAS BEEN LEFT TO COVER ALL CHARGES AND FEES INCURRED BY THE EXHIBITOR. NO NUMBERS WILL BE ISSUED TO ANY HORSE OR EQUITATION RIDER FOR WHOM AN ENTRY BLANK HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETELY FILLED OUT. A signed open check must be left for classes added during the show. d. A processing fee of $25 plus collection fees will be charged for all non-negotiable checks. 2. SCRATCHES Horses entered may be scratched by written notice presented to the show secretary prior to the start of the session in which the horse was entered to show. When valid notice of scratch is received, the entry fee will be refunded. 3. STABLING a. Stalls are approximately 9 x 9, either permanent wood or temporary vinyl, all with doors. b. Stalls are $50 if order is received with payment by September 3, 2012, thereafter $60. Stall fees are not refundable after the closing date. c. Daily stalls are available for $20 per day d. FEED STORE: Feed and bedding are available on the grounds. Advance orders should be made with entries or by calling show management (enclose separate signed check.) e. Horses showing, but not stabled must pay a $5 grounds fee. 4. COGGINS TESTS A negative Coggins test dated within the last 12 months is required for all horses for admittance to the show grounds. Include a photocopy of the Coggins test with the entry blank. 5. Management reserves the right to refuse, accept conditionally and to cancel any entry, disqualify exhibitor(s), prohibit exhibition of entries and cancel awards of prizes without claims for damages. 6. Management reserves the right to amend the tentative time schedule if necessary. All exhibitors shall have the responsibility for prompt and timely appearance at class time. 7. Management reserves the right to cancel or combine classes if insufficient entries warrant. 2

3 Rules and Regulations (cont.) 8. Should any questions or disputes arise that are not provided for by the rules, the same shall be referred to the Committee, WHOSE DECISION SHALL BE FINAL. 9. CAMPER PARKING 48 camper spaces are available for a fee of $30 per day, water and electric provided, and will be assigned on a first-paid reserved basis. Requests and payments must accompany entries. 10. DOGS MUST BE LEASHED AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON THE SHOW GROUNDS. 11. SMOKING Smoking in stables, barns and other areas as posted is strictly prohibited. 12. PARKING All vehicles must park in designated areas. NO PARKING NEAR ANY BUILDINGS. 13. MOTORIZED VEHICLE STATEMENT: Any person who does not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the offending party or the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the minor committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the offending party; the child; or the parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) of the child from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals. Wheelchairs and other mobility devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt. Horses will be shown under their registered Jockey Club name. 2. Proper attire required - regulation approved helmets must be worn and fastened at all times when mounted on a horse. 3. Riding suits are NOT allowed; jodhpur boots, and pants are suggested. Riders may NOT cross enter into any performance classes with the exception of driving classes. HORSES: Horses are to be lesson type horses of any breed. Horses may be shown in a snaffle bridle with a martingale, pelham or full bridle.
