1 SHOWS AND EVENTS WELS AUSTRIAN NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL ARABIAN ECAHO B-SHOW MAY 2018 by Fabio Brianzoni z photos by Paola Drera Every year we never miss one important show: Wels, Austria. During the last weekend 12th and 13th of May, Wels once again was transformed into an equine capital. The event in Wels is definitely the most significant show in this part of Europe, this year more modern, more refined and elegant, capable to gather much more people. TuttoArabi was present as the Media Partner of the event and sponsor as it proudly does every edition of this beautiful event. First of all we want to thank for her great and continuos job Mrs. Anne Heiloo, as the Organizer and President of the Austrian Arab Horse Society (VVÖ). She works without breaks during the year to let the people enjoy this perfectly organized event adding every year something new to the show. This year the surprise for participants was the trophy, a brand-new one in bronze sized depending on the class of the winner, extremely elegant, sculptured by the Dutch artist Mr. Willem Van Beelen. The show, as always, took place on the premises of the Pferd Wels Fair. 91 horses were entered and the quality was very high. We had the chance to see during the weekend the Austrian National Show (the horses participating in this show had a little Austrian flag next to their names in the catalogue) and the International Ecaho B Show. We have to say that compared to the last year, the quality of horses participating to the Austrian National Championships increased a lot. The show was fantastic, many visitors, breeders and VIPs from worldwide arrived to attend one of the best shows. Once again Mrs. Anne Heiloo and her Team have dealt with the task very well. The event was also in livestream through the Arabian Essence web tv, and the results were by ArabianHorseResults. The speaker was Jaroslav Lacina, the President of Ecaho, who is the usual voice of this event. Results were given by judges using tablets supplied by Arabian Horse Results, that helped a lot the timing of the scoring and the possibility by the public to know them in real time. The show was judged by Doct. Vet. Gianmarco Aragno (Italy), Mrs. Renata Schibler (Swizzerland), Mrs. Anna Stojanowska (Poland), Mr. Josi Everaers (Belgium). As the Ringmasters Gerard Oben (Belgium) and in the prering Mr.Peter Hegemann (Germany) and Mr.Wolfang Auer (Austria). The Disciplinary Committee did a great job as well thanks to the cooperation of Dr. Vet.Thomas Stohler (Swiss), and Mrs. Isabella Auer. Also this year, as usual, many countries participated with enthusiasm in this show that is always fair and impartial as much as very well managed. In the next pages enjoy all the pictures took by Mrs. Paola Drera with all the medals of National and International show and the owners and breeders details. I also want to mention the fantastic and high quality show catalogue with lots of sponsored advertisments. Since many years visitors of the Pferd Wels Fair are collecting the catalogue even if they have no Arab Horses. On Saturday evening as always La Movida Arabians organized a great Open Day with excellent catering and atmosphere that was appreciated by all very much until late in the nigth.
