4 1. Entries Flat Fee Entry $130 (includes USEF Drug Fee, Office Fee, and up to three dressage rides). Additional rides may be purchased for an additional $35/ride. Make checks payable to EAHS or complete credit card info (include a $4 credit card convenience fee). Mail to Marie Taylor, Dabney Mill Rd, North Dinwiddie, VA Negative Coggins dated within one year of the competition is required. Out of state horses must provide an interstate health certificate dated within 30 days of the competition. Proof of flu and rhino vaccinations dated within 6 months of the competition are required. 3. Non-negotiable checks and declined credit cards will be charged an additional $ Post entries will be accepted if ride times are available. Post entry fee for entries postmarked after the entry close date of July 10, 2018, $25, if accepted. 5. Refunds full refund less office fee ($10) before closing date. After closing date, stall fees, entry fees, and association fees will be refunded if horse is withdrawn with a veterinarian certification or with a rider medical certification before the first day of the show. 6. Ride times will be posted at prior to the show. Classes may not run in the order listed. 7. Awards Ribbons 1 st -6 th place. Additional awards may be given. 8. Stabling permanent 12 x 10 stalls with sliding doors are available beginning noon, August 4, The price for stalls, horse or tack, is $40. Stalls must be vacated by 10:00pm August 5, Bedding is available through the VA Horse Center. The grounds fee for horses not purchasing stabling is $ Horses entered in the Eastern Arabian Horse Show and/or East Coast Championships do not have to pay for stabling or the grounds fee. 10. Veterinarian and Farrier numbers will be posted in the show office. 11. Emergency medical personnel will be provided by First Response Medical Training 12. Sharps disposal Sharps disposals are available in the barn area.

Call (540) for reservations. 14. Dogs must be on contained or leashed at all times. 15. Footing and rings Arena: 120 x 260 with sand/clay mix. 16. Directons: Schooling: 70 x 180 with sand/clay mix. From the North: I-81 South to Exit 191. Proceed on I-64 West 1/2 mile to Exit 55. Turn right on Route 11 North, and immediately left on Route 39 West. The Virginia Horse Center is one mile ahead on the left. From the South: I-81 North to Exit 191. Proceed on I-64 West 1/2 mile to Exit 55. Turn right on Route 11 North, and immediately left on Route 39 West. The Virginia Horse Center is one mile ahead on the left. From the East: I-64 West to I-81 South. I-81 South to Exit 191. Proceed on I-64 West 1/2 mile to Exit 55. Turn right on Route 11 North, and immediately left on Route 39 West. The Virginia Horse Center is one mile ahead on the left. From the West: I-64 East to Exit 55. Turn left on Route 11 North, and proceed 1/4 mile to stoplight. Turn left on Route 39 West. The Virginia Horse Center is one mile ahead on the left. Motorized Vehicle Statement Minors who do not have a valid driver's license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver's license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

6 Virginia Horse Center Visitor Policies 1. Upon arrival at the Virginia Horse Center, all trailers must check in at the Stable Office/Welcome Center. 2. A negative Coggins must be provided for every horse brought onto the grounds and turned into the Stable Office (state law). Horses coming from out of state are required to have a health certificate (federal law). 3. No smoking in Coliseum or Barns. This is the law. 4. Vehicles: Drive Carefully. Obey All Traffic Signs. Speed limits are strictly enforced. Every vehicle operator must have a valid driver s license and proof of insurance. The use of vehicles in the camping areas is restricted to regular roadways for entering and exiting only. Vehicles are permitted only if operated in a safe manner (this is a Virginia state law), but may not be used in the Coliseum or in the interior of any of the barns. Four wheelers and ATV s are not permitted on the VHC grounds. Non-powered scooters, bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, heelers (skates in shoes) are not permitted in the Coliseum or the interior of any of the barns. The VHC reserves the right to prohibit the operation of any vehicle. 5. Dogs/Pets: All dogs/pets must have current inoculations for rabies as prescribed by state of residency. No loose dogs/pets are allowed anywhere on the premises. All dogs/pets that are not crated must be on a hand-held or tied leash. Loose dogs/pets will incur a $100 fine. You must clean up after your dog/pet. Dogs are allowed in the Coliseum as long as they are on a leash. No dogs/pets in the Mezzanine (2nd floor of the Coliseum) under any circumstances with the exception of Service Dogs. We ask that your Service Dog have his or her vest on.grounds/parking Areas/Barns/East Complex: All dogs/pets must be on a hand-held or tied leash. 6. No trash or sharps in the manure pits. Sharps should be placed in red boxes in barns. 7. All stalls must have at least one bale of shavings or straw. Sawdust is prohibited. Shavings may be purchased at the Welcome Center (Stable Office). 8. No lunging in Wiley, Northern, B Ring, the Coliseum and the East Complex. 9. No overnight horses may be stabled in trailers or tied out. 10. Horses are not allowed to be ponied behind any moving vehicles. 11. No vehicles allowed in the barns. 12. Campers must register at Stable Office/Welcome Center. 13. Check-In time and Check-Out time subject to show date. 14. No gray water is to be dumped on the ground. Sewage arrangements are made through the Stable Office/Welcome Center. 15. Campfires are not permitted.

7 16. Campers must keep their sites clean and dispose of refuse in the receptacles provided. All campers will be responsible for leaving the campsite as they found it. Any damage or repairs resulting from negligence shall be the responsibility of the camper. 17. All central service buildings and other facilities in the campground are for campers and exhibitors use only. 18. Firearms and fireworks are not permitted. 19. No tent, camper, RV or camping equipment shall be left unattended longer than 24 hours without written permission from campground management. 20. Any loss, theft, accident or disturbance should be reported to the Virginia Horse Center Security. Lost and Found is located in the Security Office. 21. Virginia Horse Center management reserves the right to remove from the premises any camper or visitor who is in violation of these rules and regulations. 22. The Virginia Horse Center shall be held harmless against all claims, costs, losses or liability of every nature and kind asserted against or incurred by camper arising or resulting in any respect from camper s occupancy and use of premises, and/or visitor and visitor s use of premises.

9 EQUINE HEALTH ENTRY REQUIREMENTS Virginia Horse Center Lexington, VA As of April 1, 2017 Protecting the health of your horse and other horses at the Virginia Horse Center is of the utmost importance to us. As such, VHC has implemented Required Biosecurity Measures to decrease the risk of introduction and/or spread of contagious or infectious disease at its shows. Horses must check in with the Stable Office upon arrival. If arriving during off-hours, please check in with Security. UPON ARRIVAL TO THE VIRGINIA HORSE CENTER, ALL HORSES MUST HAVE/PROVIDE: EVENT PARTICIPATION DECLARATION Required Signed by the owner/agent/trainer verifying that the horse has been healthy with no sign of infectious disease and has not had a fever above 102 F within 72 hours (3 days) of arrival. The Event Participation form must be submitted for each competition held at VHC in which the horse participates. Event Participation Declaration Form available in the show and stable offices and at www. horsecenter.org. PRESENTATION OF HEALTH REQUIREMENTS The Equine Health Requirements are Required for all horses entering the Show Grounds both Showing and Non-Showing. These documents must be filed in the Show Office before any competition numbers will be issued. In addition, random checks for Equine Health Requirements will occur. Be sure to keep a copy of all of your horse s Equine Health Requirements in an easily accessible spot (in your tack room or tack trunk, truck or trailer) to ensure you can comply with this requirement. The results on all required papers must indicate the horse s registered (show) name. Any horse not accompanied by these documents will be directed to the Show Veterinarian to obtain the required documents and/ or vaccinations, and/or will be placed in quarantined stabling until the proper documents are obtained. Any horse showing signs of fever/illness/stress is subject to examination by VHC Officials and/or the Show Veterinarian, who may at their sole discretion, place the horse in quarantined stabling or take further action if deemed necessary.
