She turned to me with accusing eyes. I forbid you to remove the cheese. You understand? I looked down sadly and nodded my head. But it is only a coward who stands still while his best friend is killed with mean tricks, I said stubbornly. But a mouse is different, my mother argued. A friend is a friend, I insisted. At least, if you wish to fight my friend, you could fight fair not with traps! Listen to him. shouted Papa, Shall I make a tail for myself get down on my hands and knees and bite The Mouse with my teeth?

2 Papa went upstairs and set the trap with an unfairly large and unusually attractive piece of cheese. I sighed, I could see it was no use. When he came down, I asked him quietly, Papa, is there a heaven for The Mouse? Papa stood still and stared at me. Yes. Yes, he said, there is a heaven for everyone. If you love nature, don t ever buy a wildlife product such as ivory, tiger claws or tortoise shell. Never buy wild birds such as parrots, macaws, peacocks and ostriches as pets. Avoid bringing home animals such as star-shelled tortoises, iguanas, deer, monkeys or snakes. Join a conservation club today! Write letters to the newspapers or local magazines in support of wildlife conservation. Encourage your friends to do the same.
