2 A Word From Your President I just can t believe another year has come on gone. Thanks again to everyone who help set up and tear down, with all the help it goes really quick. Congratulations to everyone on their pieces this year. The quality of mounts we had this year was amazing, just goes to show everyone is advancing on their skill set. As most of you know we had Due North Outdoors filming our show this year, I will inform everyone when that will be aired so please watch for an (I believe it s on fox sports north). If you are not getting s by now (some of you new people) please let Glenda know cause that is how we communicate to each other throughout the year. Also make sure and give her any address changes, etc. If anyone has any suggestions on what we can do to make the show better feel free to call me anytime I feel that we have a smooth running show, but I am sure we can always make it better. We will be doing pre-registration again on Thursday night next year as that really helped out on the congestion on Friday morning. Lance and I have already been doing some other planning for next year as well. Hope everyone has a great spring and summer I will be spending part of July in Alaska salmon and halibut fishing. Plus spending my weekends out at my camper at Platte Creek. Have a great year, Derick Wenck, SDTA President A Word From Your Vice-President Another great show is in the books!! I would like to start off by saying I feel very fortunate to have been nominated and elected the Vice -President of such a great association. Also, a big thanks to everyone who comes early to help setup and stays late to tear down. I happened to glance down at my phone when the competition room was completely empty and it only took an hour. The show was a success again this year with great judges and seminars. It just never lasts long enough especially since I only see most of you once a year. Show numbers were down this year but the quality certainly was not! If everyone quits having babies right before the show I expect the numbers will bounce right back next year. Congratulations to all who had success at the show! I would love to see the competition room packed next year, I know we can hit that 200 piece mark. Please keep in mind that the registration fee includes four mounts, I'd like to challenge everyone to bring four, and don t forget if you bring four or more you are automatically in for a chance at $100 cash! A quick reminder to everyone please do not forget to apply for the scholarship all skill levels are eligible. If you can think of one thing you could use some extra training on then apply for it! I personally don't know of another association that has scholarships available so please take advantage. Have a great summer, Lance Johnson, SDTA Vice-President KEEP UP TO DATE with the SDTA
