1 TARGET FOCUS COMBAT Page I of VI Targets - 1. They are places where injuries typically occur. 2. They effect the way we breath, think and move! 3. They have a specific associated spinal reflex. It s important to remember that nothing happens if you sorta hit the target. You have to hit it dead on with enough bodyweight to wreck it. That s why it s doubly important not just to study the target list, but to slowly and methodically practice surgical targeting on a real human being. The better your reaction partner is the faster you ll learn!!! Remember this when it s your turn to be the reaction partner!!! Remember striking is unidirectional! Always follow all the way thru. Ears Cupped hands both ears - slap any profile. Results - damaged or popped ear drum. Vertigo, pain, disorientation. Eyes Strike: 1. Grabbing behind the jaw bone and penetrating the eyes with the thumbs by squeezing. 2. Using a vertical head lock to gouge the eye out of the socket using the thumb. 3. Open four finger jab straight forward. 4. Closed four finger jab to one eye pushing away. 5. Closed four finger jab to one eye pulling across.
2 Page II of VI Eyes Cont. 6. Attacking from the rear and penetrating the eyes and grabbing the top of the socket(s) to manipulate his body position as well as damaging his eyes. 7. Zygoma (Cheek bone under eye) - strike with heel of foot, knee drop or fist. Neck - Front 1. Ulna, crook of open hand, kick or knee drop to the front of the throat. Expected results - Lethal no recovery! Smashes the larynx beyond repair and results in asphyxiation. Neck - Side 1. Ulna, knife hand, kick, punch, knee drop. Expected results - Knock out or fainting and disorientation. Cervical injury. Possible broken neck. Strike - Neck - Rear 1. Ulna, kick, punch, knee drop. Expected results - Upper cervical injury, fainting, momentary disorientation, concussion.
3 Page III of VI Neck - Rear - Under skull high at 10 and 2 o clock 1. Ulna, knife hand, punch, palm heel slap, knee drop. Expected results - Knock out, possible upper cervical injury. Solar Plexus 1. Palm heel, elbow, fist, knee, ball or heel of foot. Expected results - Immediate spinal reflex grabbing where struck. Inability to breathe. Inability to defend ones self from further attack. Groin 1. Ridge hand, Palm heel, Spear hand, Open hand slap, knee, ball of foot. Expected results - Immediate spinal reflex, both hands grabbing groin, body bent over at waist, chin up. Crushed testicles. Inability to defend ones self from further attack. Pubic Bone Strike with - Heel of foot, knee drop, knee strike. Object is to break the pubic bone. Expected results - The hips will no longer be connected. Inability to stand or use the legs properly. Mobility kill.
4 Page IV of VI Knee 1. Outside edge of foot, Elbow/Ulna, ball or toe (point of shoe) of foot, heel of foot. Injury occurs when knee is bent backwards more than 30 degrees. Inside to outside more than 40 degrees. Inward toward the center line of the body 10 degrees. Bending the joint and then compressing it beyond it s range of motion 130 degrees. Expected results - Lack of mobility. Inability to stand upright. Ankle 1. The outside edge (knife) of foot, knee, ball of foot or toe of shoe, heel. Target two to three inches above the knobby ankle bone or where ankle meets leg from the front. Injury occurs when ankle is bent backwards more than 20 degrees. Inside to outside more than 30 degrees. Inward toward the center line of the body 20 degrees. Expected results - Lack of mobility. Inability to stand upright. Other Targets As you can see from charts there are many more targets we can strike! Each will have a certain expected result. Nerve strikes will cause momentary loss of muscle control, tingling or pain. Striking the collar bones will break them quite easily, cause loss of arm function and create pressure on the lungs as the damaged side collapses. Striking the nose will cause the eyes to water profusely with the associated disruption of vision. Penetrating 3 1/2 inches to damage the spleen or liver can cause massive internal bleeding etc. Study the charts!!!!
