4 Main objective: to help National Olympic Committees, European Federations and national sport federations in Europe to safeguard the integrity of their sport(s) and to strengthen their governance. Specific objectives: - To develop a system and structure of Single Points of Contact for Integrity within NOCs and EFs - To develop an educational programme to provide training and education to representatives of NOCs and EFs to become Single Points of Contact - To further develop educational tools to provide practical guidance to NOCs and national sport federations on integrity and good governance (based on SIGGS methodology) - To organise National Strategic Workshops on Integrity and Good Governance to bring together national sport organisations

22 Starting point: No sport officials = no sport Focus: Sport officials (e.g. umpires, referees, judges) Definition: Officials are at the heart of sport and involved in competitions/ games/ contests from grassroots to the elite level. They apply the rules in their sport and their role includes upholding the integrity of sport and offering a fair, impartial, safe and enjoyable environment and sporting experience for participants. The project will benefit the whole sport sector.
23 A RECOGNISED NEED EXPRESSED BY THE SECTOR: Sport organisations across the EU, including the 11 partners in the project, recognise the need: - to enhance the image and recognition of sport officials and - to provide them the opportunity to develop their skills to respond to the challenging environment in which they operate. THE ONSIDE PROJECT WAS DESIGNED AS A CONCRETE RESPONSE TO A REALITY AND NEED FROM THE SECTOR
