INTRODUCTION: The 18 th ASIANIA Parachuting Championships consists of the following: 18 th ASIANIA Parachuting Championships CHINA International Parachuting Open 2017 The event is governed under the ASIANIA Parachuting Federation (FAI Sporting Code General Section, FAI Sporting Code Section 5 and Competition Rules will be applied). 2. AIMS OF THE 18 TH ASIANIA PARACHUTING CHAMPIONSHIPS & CHINA International Parachuting Open 2017: To determine the ASIANIA parachuting champions (including Juniors). To create new ASIANIA parachuting records (including Juniors). To promote the development of parachuting in ASIANIA areas. To exchange experience and strengthen friendly relations between the sport parachutists of all ASIANIA members. To allow participants to share and exchange experience, knowledge and information. ORGANIZERS: The Competition is organized by ASFC (Aero Sports Federation of China) and the local government of JI AN City, Jiangxi Province and under the control of the ASIANIA Parachuting Federation. 4. PERIOD OF EVENT: 18th 27 th November 2017 (arrival and departure dates included) 6. LOCATION: The TONGPING AIRPORT (shown as Bantang on google map) is located approximately 20 kms from JI AN CITY, located in the central-west of Jiangxi Province, neighboring Fuzhou, Ganzhou, Yichun, Xinyu and Pingxiang cities within the province. In the west, it borders Hunan Province. The competition site is within Jiangxi Province Airsports School, the Tongping Airport is owned by school themselves. The dropzone provides training facilities to all native teams especially during winter time. The climate is mild and wet in winter. The runway is 800m long and 30m wide, the Page 2 of 9

3 west side area along runway edge is for canopy landing. The Accuracy Tuffet is parallel to the middle of the runway, the distance is about 90 meters. Jumpers walk through a path between tuffet and runway. The landing area are covered by grass (not shown above). The area is all flat, no trees and wires within airport area. China National championships were conducted here in November, 2015, approximately 100 jumpers had 5 days of competition and all facilities were tested to be reliable. The dropzone is large enough to service the 2017 championships and the landing area between fast canopy and normal canopy will be separated properly. The altitude of the DZ is approximately 90 meters above sea level. 7. ACCOMMODATION : To be confirmed next Bulletin there are two considerations 1. DROP ZONE: Delegations will be accommodated at the Jiangxi Province Air Sports Center (similar to Taiyuan accommodation 2015). 75 standard rooms within 3 buildings inside the Skydiving school, and one more building with 30 rooms is under construction now. Each room is approximately 25 square meters with bathroom included. 2. HOTEL: Delegations will be accommodated at JI AN CITY, which is 20 km away and always takes 30 minutes to get to the drop zone by shuttle bus. 8. TRANSPORTATION: (more detailed information next Bulletin) *JINGGANGSHAN AIRPORT is 30 kilometers (19 miles) from downtown JI AN. At present, it operates flights to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen * Beijing-Kowloon Railway passes through JI AN. JI AN Railway Station is situated in Qingyuan Lu of Qingyuan District * Jiangxi- Guangdong, Taihe-Jinggangshan expressways and No. 105 and 319 National Highway make it much easier to access. JI AN Qingyuan Bus Station is located at 408, Qingyuan Lu. 9. DAILY SCHEDULE: November 18 th (Saturday): Arrival of Teams, Orientation Jumps, Technical Conference Judges November 19 th (Sunday) Orientation jumps, Technical Conference Judges, Opening Ceremony, Technical Briefing and Draw November 20 th to 25 th (Monday to Saturday): Competition all day November 26 th (Sunday) Morning: Competition if required Afternoon: Awards and Closing Ceremony Evening: Farewell Banquet November 27 th (Monday) Departure of the teams 11. JUDGING: a) Judge Conference: 18 and 19 November 2017: Commencing at 9 a.m. on the 18 th November and continuing through 19th September. All judges are expected to attend if they wish to be considered for the Official panels. b) Judging Equipment: Style and Accuracy: Weckbecker AMD system and Ground to Air Video CF and FS: InTime system c) Videographers: IMPORTANT FS and CF Videographer - Teams will be required to provide or organize to have their own video camera person. If there are problems with this please advise Organizer as soon as possible. All video equipment must deliver a High Definition 1080 type digital signal with a minimum frame rate of 25 frames per second, through a memory card (minimum class 10). The videographer is responsible for ensuring the compatibility of the freefall video equipment with the scoring system. d) FAI & ASIANIA Judge Training Courses: 13 th to 17 th November Separate Bulletin with all details and fees to be sent regarding the Training Courses planned for Style, Accuracy, FS, CF. Further practical judging experience under supervision will be available during the championships. 12. AIRCRAFT: Exit speed for all aircraft will be 70 knots, knots ALL EVENTS: 3 x PC-6 (Pilatus Porter), 10 slots, right door, with handle for FS AN2, 10 slots, left door (reserve aircraft) Page 4 of 9

5 13. WEATHER CONDITIONS: Average Temperature is degrees Celsius (57-68 degrees Fahrenheit) Average Wind Speed is 2-3 metres per second 14. ENTRY FEE ASIANIA MEMBERS: $ 600 USD per competitor (includes one category) $ 500 USD per person for delegation members and accompanying personnel; An additional fee of $ 50 USD may be added per competitor competing in more than one Category. NON ASIANIA MEMBERS: $ 650 USD per competitor (includes one category) $ 550 USD per person for delegation members and accompanying personnel; An additional fee of $ 50 USD may be added per competitor competing in more than one Category. Categories are: 1) Freefall Style and Accuracy 2) 4-Way Formation Skydiving (4-way Open and Female) 3) Canopy Formation (2 & 4-way Sequential, 4-way Rotations) A) Entry Fee will cover: 1. Accommodation: From November 18th to November 27; 2. Meals: From dinner of November 18th to breakfast of November 27th; 3. Transportation: From Jinggangshan Airport to accommodation and return; 4. Transportation: From Hotel to DZ and return during the contest days; 5. Competition jumps and one Orientation Jump; 6. Welcome and farewell banquets; 7. Souvenirs NOTE: Entry Fee can be paid at registration without any late charge fee (requires prior arrangement with organisers). 6 15. ELIGIBILITY TO COMPETE: 18 th ASIANIA Parachuting Championships is open to Countries/Regions that are current financial members of the ASIANIA Parachute Federation and FAI. China International Parachuting Open 2017: is open to ASIANIA members and non ASIANIA countries. Country must be a current member of the FAI. Guest Only: Teams that are not current members are very welcome to participate in a Guest Only status but will not be eligible for official placings or awards. 16. COMPOSITION OF DELEGATION: A. PRE- COMPETITION TRAINING JUMPS: 12 th - 17 th November 2017 Training area is the same site as the 2017 Championships site Training facilities will be available to teams prior to the Competition Aircraft for training jumps will be PC-6 (Pilatus Porter), 10 slots, right door, with handle for FS, AN2, 10 slots, left door (reserve aircraft) JUMP COSTS: Accuracy USD 25 (1000m), Style/2CF/ USD 30 (2200m), 4CF/FS USD 40 (2500m-3050m). 19. SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: The height of opening the parachute must be at least 700 meters AGL; Jumpers must wear helmet during the jumping; Ram Air main and Ram Air reserve; Altimeter alarm is mandatory for FS and CF,AAD is recommended for all events. 20. INSURANCE: Every jumper must have the life insurance of the year; The third party insurance will be organized by the event organizer; Please contact the organizer if the participant does not have life insurance. 21. VISA INFORMATION: (VERY IMPORTANT!!) See Page 8 for Visa Details If any team will require a VISA to come to China, please send the Entry Form and each participant s passport information WITH COPY OF PASSPORT PAGE (page with photo) to the Organizer AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE BEFORE 1st SEPTEMBER 2017 (Judge training course will need to allow at least 1 month before course commences) We will then send the Visa Application Invitation Letter to you as required. Please Note: Passport Expiry date must be valid for at least 6 months from the time you enter China!! 22. NATIONAL/REGIONAL FLAG AND ANTHEM: Each participating team is kindly asked to bring 2 (two) national/regional flags and CD/USB flash disc of their National Anthem. 23.
