Riding in the Paddock Your attention is drawn to the serious consequences which could arise following an accident caused by unauthorised riding of any sort of machine in the paddock. The riding of machines of any sort in the paddock and areas surrounding the circuit is totally forbidden. Because this event is on private property it is NOT outside the jurisdiction of the Road Traffic Act in terms of insurance. It cannot be stressed too highly that liability for a substantial claim could rest with the owners of the vehicle and the driver (or the parent in the case of a minor). The Union s insurers will quite legitimately repudiate any claim on them for damages arising out of the accident caused by an unauthorised driver. 3

NO. 16/2177 This is an Open meeting (open to adult members (Expert & Junior) of the ACU with an appropriate licence riding solo machines. It is held under the National Sporting Code and Standing Motocross Regulations of the ACU, the Supplementary Regulations and any final instructions issued by the organising club. When the gate drops to the chequered flag the racing will be fast and furious as the races are only 4 laps with each rider getting 4 races a total of 12 races in two and a half hours. A unique feature about tonight is that we have additionally introduced in support of the normal motocross races, races for enduro bikes and riders (these are bikes with headlights some of which are road legal). This has attracted a lot of interest and it will be good to see which class of rider is the fastest and the overall winner.
