1 Important Message to all Competitors and Parents ALL COMPETITORS MUST WEAR AN AUSTRALIAN APPROVED HELMET WHICH MUST BE PRESENTED AT ROLL OUT a) All competitors are to roll out their bikes before their first race. The first five (5) place getters in each race are required to roll out immediately after their race. b) All competitors must be at marshalling 10 minutes prior to race start. c) Rawson Road, Sutherland is a very busy road and a main thoroughfare to and from Sutherland. Southern Cross Cycle Club recommends competitors do NOT use this road to warm up on, however if this is unavoidable, please obey all road rules and be responsible for your own safety and actions. Your conduct reflects upon all cyclists. d) Once each competitor has crossed the finish line on their last lap they must turn up Track 1 as the next race will be starting immediately after the last competitor finishes. e) Track 1 has an uneven and rough surface and all care should be used when turning into Track 1 after your race. f) For competitors using Track 3, this course has a very steep hill and high speeds can be achieved down this hill. Please take care, retain your line on the bends, do not overlap wheels, and ride straight and safely. g) Due to time limits lapped riders may be asked to retire from the race. h) Some races for the individual ages may be held at the same time. This will be advised on the day. i) Cyclists are reminded that Road Cycle racing can be considered a dangerous sport. While all reasonable care is taken by the race organisers and officials when organising an event, all participating cyclists have an equal responsibility to ensure they take adequate care by adhering to the rules and conditions imposed by the commissaires and officials. j) On Saturday all interstate competitors are entered into the Country Championships and are unable to medal regardless of their finishing position. Please Note: All start times are approximate. Commissaries and judges reserve the right to vary the distances and race program depending on circumstances that occur during the day. Spectators must remain on the outside of the track: For rider safety, spectators are to remain on the outside of the track at all times Access to rollout and marshalling is for competitors only Access to registration and the canteen is via the crossing near the start/finish line 1
