A year ago, the Bulldogs edged the Volunteers in Athens. Georgia has won five in a row and will be looking to extend the streak, which would be the longest in the series history that dates back to The Vols won nine in a row starting in 1989 and the streak ended in 2000 when the Bulldogs posted a victory in Athens. Under Mark Richt, Georgia is 10-4 versus Tennessee. The Bulldogs are 5-2 in Knoxville under Richt s direction, including a comeback win over the #6 Vols in 2001 that marked the Bulldogs first victory in Knoxville since Georgia emerged with a win in overtime in its last visit to Neyland Stadium back in Marshall Morgan connected on a career-long 56-yarder early in the contest, which was the longest field goal on the road for a Bulldog in school history. Then, Morgan drilled a game-winning 42-yarder. Georgia Looks To Get Back On Track Georgia currently ranks third in the SEC in Scoring at 38.4 points a game. Meanwhile, Tennessee is fourth at Georgia had just three points at the half last Saturday versus #13 Alabama, and its lone touchdown for the game came on an 83-yard scamper by sophomore sensation Nick Chubb. Chubb finished with 146 yards on 20 carries (7.3 avg.) and he became just the 16th player to rush for more than 100 yards against Alabama since Last Saturday, the Tide blocked a punt for a touchdown and returned an interception for a touchdown. Meanwhile, Arkansas defeated Tennessee in Knoxville last week. Bulldogs, Volunteers Look To Establish The Run Georgia and Tennessee come into the game ranked second and third, respectively, in the SEC in Rushing Offense. The Bulldogs have averaged while the Vols are going for per game this season. LSU leads the league at In Rushing Defense, Georgia ranks seventh in the conference at and Tennessee is 11th at Nick Chubb, one of the nation s top running backs, ranks third nationally with 745 yards on 91 carries (8.2 average) and seven rushing touchdowns this season. Chubb leads all active FBS players with a career average of yards per game. He matched Herschel Walker s school record mark of 13 consecutive games with at least 100 yards rushing and leads the nation for active players. Georgia s rushing attack is bolstered by the fact that four offensive line starters returned from the 2014 unit - seniors John Theus (LT), Kolton Houston (RT), junior Greg Pyke (RG) and junior Brandon Kublanow (C, LG in 2014). Sophomore Isaiah Wynn has joined the crew at LG this season. Spotlight On Special Teams Tennessee leads the SEC in Net Punting at 42.6 yards and is also tops in the league in Kickoff Returns at The Bulldogs are 13th in Net Punting 32.2 yards and 14th in Kickoff Returns at The Volunteers kick return game features Evan Berry, who is averaging 40.6 per return with two touchdowns. Georgia s Reggie Davis is ninth in the SEC at 20.7 yards per return. In the punting game, Tennessee sophomore Trevor Daniel is second in the SEC at 48.3 per punt while Bulldog senior Collin Barber is 10th at Last week against #13 Alabama, Barber punted 10 times for a 42.0 average Georgia-Tennessee Flashback: Costly Victory For The Bulldogs Marshall Morgan kicked a 42-yard field goal in overtime to lift Georgia to a victory the last time the teams met in Neyland Stadium. Morgan s heroics would not have been possible without QB Aaron Murray throwing a game-tying touchdown pass to Rantavious Wooten with five seconds left in regulation. The Volunteers had gone ahead with 1:54 left in the contest. Then in overtime, Tennessee lost the ball near the goal line for a touchback, and three plays later, Morgan provided the game-winner. During the game, Georgia running back Keith Marshall and receiver Justin Scott-Wesley were lost for the year due to knee injuries. on deck: Missouri TBA #19/#16 Tennessee 3:30 p.m. (CBS), October 10, 2015 Neyland Stadium, Knoxville, Tenn. It was another strong effort from coach Jeremy Pruitt s unit despite Lorenzo Carter being disqualified early on for a targeting penalty. Georgia forced three turnovers in the game, all coming as interceptions from McCrary, with senior Jake Ganus and sophomore Reggie Wilkerson both adding interceptions to Sanders 88-yard scamper to the end zone. Senior linebacker Jordan Jenkins turned in a dominant performance individually, totaling a career-high 11 tackles with 5.5 behind the line of scrimmage. Jenkins also got after the quarterback with a team-best five QB hurries. Fittingly, it was the defense that finished off the game with Sanders pick-six, as Vanderbilt had the ball deep in Georgia territory and trailed by 10 at the time. The running game was also strong as Georgia ran up 281 yards on the ground against the Commodores and averaged more than 6 yards per carry in the contest. Sophomore backs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel combined for 245 yards on 31 carries, an average of 8 yards per carry. Chubb, who totaled 189 yards on 19 carries (9.9 ypc average) burst for a 68-yard gain on his second carry of the contest and Michel boasted a long of 31 yards in the game, a carry he took into the end zone to put the Bulldogs ahead 14-3 in the second quarter. The passing game overcame a slow start to produce 141 yards on 25 attempts. Starter Greyson Lambert finished the day 11-for-21 with 116 yards and rushed for a touchdown. For the second straight game, Brice Ramsey took a first-half series and went 2-for-4 for 25 yards through the air. SC - Skai Moore UGA - Jake Ganus Worth Noting Junior QB Greyson Lambert set an NCAA, SEC and Georgia record for Best Completion Percentage at 96.0% with a minimum of 20 completions as he finished 24-for-25 for 330 yards and 3 TDs. The old mark was 95.8% as Tee Martin (UT vs. S.C., 1998) and Geno Smith (West Va. Vs. Kansas, 2012) were 23-for-24 respectively. The previous Georgia mark was 86.9% by David Greene (20x23) against Vanderbilt in Lambert completed his last 20 in a row, also a Georgia record. Georgia s win ties the mark for most points ever scored against South Carolina in the series. It matches the 1970 game (52-34 in Athens) and 1974 contest (52-14 in Athens). The Bulldogs held the Gamecocks to 20 points and 258 yards on 61 plays. Senior linebacker Jake Ganus finished as the leading tackler with seven stops. Sophomore SS Dominick Sanders led the Bulldogs with six stops at the half while junior OLB Leonard Floyd posted five tackles, including a sack. Sophomore TB Sony Michel finished the game with three catches for 32 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Michel had two touchdown catches during his freshman season in On the ground, Michel went for 51 yards on eight carries (6.4 avg.) and a touchdown plus he had three catches for 32 yards and two TDs.

28 2015 Game Summaries Southern Sept. 26, 2015 Sanford Stadium - Athens, Ga. Southern = 6 Georgia = 48 ATHENS, Ga. -- Head coach Mark Richt had a historic day with Georgia s 48-6 drubbing of Southern, achieving his 140th career win to tie him with Wallace Butts for second all-time at Georgia. Richt now trails only Vince Dooley and his 201 wins in the UGA record books. Sophomore tailback Nick Chubb continued his historic streak as well, tallying his 12th consecutive 100-yard rushing game. Chubb finished with 131 yards on 15 carries and two touchdowns on the ground against an overmatched Southern team as Georgia improved to 4-0 on the season. Chubb was part of a dominant rushing attack in the contest against the FCS Jaguars squad, as the running backs combined for 272 yards on 30 carries for better than 9 yards per carry on average as well as four touchdowns. The Bulldogs also beat Southern through the air, with Greyson Lambert claiming another efficient performance going 9-for-10 for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Brice Ramsey also saw significant reps in the game, finishing 11-for-14 for 125 yards with a long pass of 30 yards. Georgia never trailed in the game, jumping out to a 17-0 lead at the end of the first quarter after touchdowns from Chubb on a 24-yard catch from Lambert and a Sony Michel seven-yard run added to a season-long 47-yard field goal from Marshall Morgan. Morgan added one more field goal before the recess, and the Bulldogs led 20-6 at halftime. With a renewed fire after taking the field once more, Georgia ran up 28 points against the Jaguars in the third quarter. Two of those scores came courtesy of two Chubb runs of nine yards and 49 yards, sandwiched around a 23-yard touchdown catch and run by Malcolm Mitchell. Michel punctuated the scoring with a 58-yard run in which he shrugged off several Southern defenders on his way to the end zone, producing the final score of The Bulldogs defense flexed its muscle in the second half, sucking the air out of a Southern offense that entered the game averaging better than 38 points per game. Despite possessing the ball for 35:35, Southern managed only 184 yards of offense and 10 first downs. They averaged 3.3 yards per pass and 3 yards per carry after being unable to solve Georgia s defensive unit. Most impressively, Georgia came out of the locker room with a fire when Southern had the ball. The Jaguars achieved only 34 yards and three first downs in the second half, one in the final quarter, and were held to a mere 79 yards passing. Worth Noting After rushing for 31 yards in the first half, sophomore TB Nick Chubb finished with 131 yards on 15 carries and two touchdowns, including a 49-yarder that put him over the century mark. This marked 12 consecutive games reaching 100 yards on the ground for Chubb, one shy of Herschel Walker s 13 that bridged the seasons and included the Sugar Bowl to cap a perfect season. Coach Richt tied Wallace Butts with 140 wins at the University of Georgia, good for second all-time. Richt improved to against non-conference opponents, including 41-2 at home. With two completions to start the ggame, junior QB Greyson Lambert pushed his school record to 22 consecutive completions (he had completed 20 in a row to finish the previous game). With freshman DE Michael Barnett seeing the field against Southern, UGA pushed its true-freshman total to 22 players achieving playing time. This number is tops in the nation.

29 2015 Game Summaries Alabama Oct. 3, 2015 Sanford Stadium - Athens, Ga. Alabama = 38 Georgia = 10 ATHENS, Ga. -- Sophomore tailback Nick Chubb extended his 100-yard rushing streak to 13 games, tying Georgia great Herschel Walker, but the Bulldogs were unable to get much going offensively and lost to the Alabama Crimson Tide by a tally. Aside from Chubb s long run of 83 yards, a touchdown run that pushed him over the 100-yard plateau, the Bulldogs mustered only 216 yards, with 110 coming on the ground. The stifling Alabama defense grounded Georgia s passing game, including quarterback Greyson Lambert, who entered the game with 33 completions in his previous 35 attempts. Lambert and sophomore Brice Ramsey combined to go 11-for-30 with three interceptions and 106 yards passing. The two heavyweight programs exchanged blows early on with rigid defense, as the score went 3-3 into the middle portion of the second quarter.over the span of five minutes, starting at 8:26 remaining in the half, the Crimson Tide scored three touchdowns to put the ga me out of reach. The first came courtesy of a 30-yard run by Derrick Henry, and the next two scores came exactly a minute apart with a blocked punt for a touchdown and a 45-yard pass from Jake Coker to Calvin Ridley to go up 24-3 before the half. An interception return for a touchdown on Georgia s first possession of the second half gave the visitors a 31-3 lead, and the Tide added on with a Coker touchdown run to go up 38-3 in the third. Chubb s 83-yard run with just five seconds remaining in the third quarter produced the final score of Despite the score, Georgia s defense did have a strong showing, holding Alabama well below its season averages in both passing and rushing. Additionally, coach Jeremy Pruitt s unit forced two turnovers and held the Crimson Tide to just one third-down conversion in 12 attempts as well as 0-for-2 on fourth down. The defense also forced Alabama into eight three-and-outs on the day. Chubb s long run was a bright spot for the Bulldogs, who entered the game undefeated. In addition to the sophomore s scoring burst, his classmate Sony Michel proved effective on the ground with 54 yards on just nine carries. Senior wideout Malcolm Mitchell also added 65 receiving yards on three catches. Worth Noting Sophomore tailback Nick Chubb matched Herschel Walker s school record mark of 13 consecutive games with at least 100 yards rushing after going for 146 yards on 20 carries and a touchdown. Chubb is only the 16th player to have at least 100 yards against Alabama s defense since Senior PK Marshall Morgan connected on a 27-yard field goal early in the second quarter to tie the score at 3-3. Morgan has scored the third-most points in Georgia history (354) and is 5-for-7 on field goals this season and 51-for-66 in his career. Coming into Saturday, Morgan was fourth among active players in the NCAA for total points. With his PAT after Chubb s run, Morgan set a SEC record with 202 straight successful extra-points. With the loss to Alabama, Coach Richt fell to 3-3 against the Crimson Tide in his tenure at Georgia. Alabama was the first opponent to score off a Georgia turnover this season.
