Denver s Pacific Rim Line of Trevor Moore, Dylan Gambrell and Danton Heinen provided the offense for the Pioneers after combining for 11 points on three goals and eight assists. Starting goaltender Tanner Jaillet made 41 saves in the victory. I think North Dakota played really well and we matched it, head coach Jim Montgomery said after the game. I don t think our players believed it until you saw us score one and then all of the sudden they realized we can play with them. We ve been talking about increasing our level of play, increasing our intensity and all of a sudden we got physical and we got to the front of their net. The building was rocking right from the start. Our student section was rocking. It was the best game I ve ever been a part of, not only because we won but because of the atmosphere and the high level of play.
