2 2016 PIERCE COUNTY FAIR Objectives 1. To offer character training through wholesome participation, competition, cooperation and accomplishment. 2. To educate youth and adults in better methods. 3. To improve the relations between urban and rural people. 4. To provide social contacts. 5. To help build community pride. 6. To provide wholesome competition of various types. 7. To offer recreation and amusement through promotion of carnivals, contests and competition. 8. To encourage trade. 9. To present the products of the farm, home and family. 10. To provide recognition to 4-H, FFA, open show exhibitors and leaders. 11. To further education by exhibiting, judging and demonstrating. 12. To promote 4-H and FFA in Pierce County. 3 PRE-FAIR PROGRAM OF EVENTS Wednesday July 13, 2016 Entry Deadline for 4-H Horse Entries, Horse Bowl & 4-H Horse Record Books. For more info, please check out: Thursday July 21, :30 am-6 p.m. at 4-H Office *Entry deadline for all animals (except horses) and posters due in 4-H office. *Entry deadline for public presentations at 4-H office. *Pre-registration for foods and bread baking and Fashion Revue Events. *All due in 4-H Office between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. Please do not bring entries before July 18, as we have no place to store them. However, if earlier deliver is necessary, the 4-H office will accept entries between 7/18-7/21, 9:30-4:00, if special arrangements are made call to schedule a day/time. PRE-FAIR TICKET SALES Exhibitors are eligible to receive a voucher when entering exhibits entitling them to purchase fair entry tickets at a discount. Tickets must be purchased prior to the fair opening on Thursday to receive the discount.
