1 Class (s): 1-In Hand Arena: Main Arena Start Time: 8 Am When it is your turn to compete, enter the arena and halt. Acknowledge judge, then begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Complete gate obstacle, right hand push. 2. Walk onto bridge, halt in center for 5 seconds. Exit bridge to the right, going through the L, walk to mailbox. 3. Open mailbox, show mail to judge. Return mail to mail box. 4. Jog/trot to cones in center of arena. Halt between cones for 5 seconds. Pick up a trot and trot a figure 8 around the cones, going to the right first. Halt between cones at the completion of the figure Pick up a trot and trot through cone alley. 6. Trot to tarp, come down to a walk before tarp. Walk onto tarp and halt for 5 seconds. 7. Trot to and over flower boxes. 8. Proceed at a walk to noodle push, walk through noodle push. 9. Trot to Garrocha pole. Pick up pole and make a complete revolution in either direction at the walk. Change directions and complete a revolution in the other direction at a trot. Replace pole. 10. Trot to cowboy curtain. Halt ½ way thru, and wait 5 seconds. Acknowledge judge, then exit arena.

2 Class (s): 2-Liberty Arena: Main Arena When it is your turn to compete, enter the arena and halt. Acknowledge judge, then begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Complete gate obstacle, right hand push. 2. Walk onto bridge, halt in center for 5 seconds. Continue straight off bridge. 3. Open mailbox, show mail to judge. Return mail to mail box. 4. Jog/trot to cones in center of arena. Halt between cones for 5 seconds. Pick up a trot and trot a figure 8 around the cones, going to the right first. Halt between cones at the completion of the figure 8. Handler is NOT to go around the cones, rather send the horse through the figure 8 on his own. 5. Have horse stay at the entrance of cone alley while you walk through. Have horse stand for about 10 seconds, then ask them to trot through cone alley and come to you. 6. Trot to tarp, come down to a walk before tarp. Walk onto tarp and halt for 7 seconds while spanking either the tarp or the ground with a rope or a savvy string on the end of a carrot stick. 7. Trot to and over flower boxes. 8. Proceed at a walk to noodle push, walk through noodle push. 9. Trot to Garrocha pole. Pick up pole and make a complete revolution in either direction at the walk. Change directions and complete a revolution in the other direction at a trot. Replace pole. 10. Trot to cowboy curtain. Halt ½ thru, and wait 5 seconds. Acknowledge judge, then exit arena.

3 Class (s): 3-Leadline Arena: Main Arena When it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge, then begin course. 1. N/A 2. Walk over bridge 3. Walk to mailbox. Open mailbox and remove rubber ducky. 3 B. Carry rubber ducky to bucket (30 feet along the rail) Drop ducky in bucket. 4. Walk to cones in center of the arena and halt for 5 seconds. Make a circle around the cone to the right. Circle can be completed at a walk or trot, whichever the rider is comfortable with. 5. After circle is complete, walk to and through cone alley. 6. Walk over the tarp. (if there is a possibility that the horse will attempt to jump the tarp or spook at it, please skip this obstacle) 7. Walk to the judge, halt and answer questions from the judge. When judge says you are finished, leave the arena

4 May 13, 2016 Class (s): 4-Youth 16& Under 6-Bridleless Arena: Main When it is your turn to compete, enter arena, halt, and acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, approach gate and begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Complete gate obstacle, right hand push. 2. Walk onto bridge, halt in center for 5 seconds. Exit bridge to the right, walking through the L. 3. Open mailbox, show mail to judge. Return mail to mail box. 4. Trot to cones in center of arena, halt between cones. Pick up a right lead and canter an aprox 20 meter circle to the right. Do a simple lead change between the cones and canter a circle to the left. Halt between cones for 5 seconds. 5. Trot to and through cone alley. 6. Come down to a walk before tarp. Step onto tarp and pause 5 seconds. 7. Trot to and over flower boxes. Demonstrate a two point position over boxes. 8. Proceed at walk to noodle push obstacle. Walk thru noodle push. 9. Trot to Garrocha pole. Pick up pole and make one complete revolution at the walk in either direction. Change directions and make one complete revolution in the other direction at a trot. Replace pole. 10. Trot to cowboy curtain. Halt ½ way through for 5 seconds. Acknowledge judge, then exit arena.

You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Complete gate obstacle, right hand push. 2. Walk onto bridge, halt in center for 5 seconds. Exit bridge and proceed at a walk to mailbox 3. Open mailbox, show mail to judge. Return mail to mail box. 4. Walk to cones in center of arena, halt between cones for 5 seconds. Pick up a trot and trot a figure-8 around the cones, going to the right first, trot back thru cones, then turn left to complete figure-8. Halt for 5 seconds between cones at the completion of the figure Walk to and through cone alley. 6. Proceed at walk to tarp, walk over tarp. 7. Walk over flower boxes. 8. Trot to the noodle push, come down to a walk and walk through. 9. Trot to Garrocha pole. Pick up pole and walk one full revolution in either direction. 10. Walk to and through cowboy curtain. Acknowledge judge and leave arena.

6 Class: 7 Open Start Time-9am Arena: Warm up area / Outside Course Wait near entry area until it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, approach mounting block and begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Approach mounting block, mount horse on left side. 2. Trot to and through mud puddle. 3. Come down to a walk and walk over the brush. 4. Continue at a walk, walk through the water box. 5. Trot to suspension bridge. Walk onto and over bridge. 6. Trot to tire obstacle. Walk onto obstacle. Halt on 2 nd tire. Pivot to the left and step off. 7. Trot to barrel with flag. Pick up flag, then canter a figure 8 around the arena, demonstrating a lead change. It can be simple or flying. When figure 8 is complete, return flag to barrel. 8. Proceed to gate, and complete gate obstacle, right hand push. Acknowledge arena judge, wait outside warm up area, make sure previous rider has cleared the course, acknowledge field judge. 9. Trot into the water jump, turn to the right, and exit by jumping up and out. 10. Pick up a left lead and lope to bank. Come down to a trot and trot up ramp, onto bank. Pick up the bag of cans off the log and shake it. Replace the bag on the log. 11. Trot off bank and over log jump. 12. Trot to the balance beam, walk onto and down the balance beam. 13. Trot to barrels. Halt between the first and 2 nd barrel, sidepass between barrels. Proceed at a walk until you are between the 2 nd and 3 rd barrel, sidepass between those barrels. 14. Trot to the box, halt inside the box. Dismount your horse on the off side. Pick up tarp and put it on your horse. Remove tarp from horse and acknowledge judge.

7 Class: 8 Jackpot Arena: Warm up area / Outside Course Wait near entry area until it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, approach mounting block and begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Approach mounting block, mount horse on off side. 2. Trot to puddle. Halt, turn around, and back horse through puddle. 3. Pick up a trot and trot over the brush. 4. Continue at a walk, walk into water box, halt in center for 5 seconds. 5. Trot to suspension bridge. Walk onto and over bridge. 6. Trot to tire obstacle. Walk onto obstacle. Halt on 2 nd tire. Pivot to the left and step off. 7. Trot to barrel with flag. Pick up flag, then canter a figure 8 around the arena, demonstrating a flying lead change. When figure 8 is complete, return flag to barrel. 8. Proceed to gate, and complete gate obstacle, right hand push. Acknowledge arena judge, wait outside warm up area, make sure previous rider has cleared the course, acknowledge field judge. 9. Pick up a right lead and lope through the water jump. 10. Change to a left lead and lope to bank. Come down to a trot and trot up ramp, onto bank. Pick up the bag of cans off the log and shake it. Execute a turn on the haunches to the right, while holding bag of cans. Replace the bag on the log. 11. Trot off bank, pick up a left lead and lope over log jump, and to balance beam. 12. Come down to a walk and walk onto and down the balance beam. 13. Trot to barrels. Halt between the first and 2 nd barrel, sidepass between barrels. Proceed at a walk until you are between the 2 nd and 3 rd barrel, sidepass between those barrels. Then back through the barrels, weaving them. 14. Trot to the box, halt inside the box. Dismount your horse on the off side. Pick up tarp and put it on your horse. Remove tarp from horse and acknowledge judge.

8 Class: 9-Team Arena: Warm up area/ Outside Course Wait near mounting block until it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. Work together as a team. Ride together between obstacles. 1. Begin dismounted, walk to mounting block. One rider mount on the left side of horse, one rider mount on right. 2. Both riders go through mud puddle. One at a walk, one at a trot. 3. Proceed to pinwheel barrels. One rider do a complete revolution at a walk in one direction. 2 nd rider make a full revolution in the opposite direction at the trot. 4. Trot to suspension bridge. Walk over bridge one at a time. 5. Trot to tire obstacle, go up and all the way over, one at a time. 6. Ride to flag barrel. One rider pick up flag. BOTH riders will trot a figure 8 around the barrels. At 2 nd barrel, rider one will deposit their flag, and rider 2 will pick up the other flag. Trot to first barrel and replace flag. 7. Trot to gate obstacle. One rider will open gate, right hand push, wait while 2 nd rider goes through gate, then close. Acknowledge the arena judge and leave the arena for the 2 nd half of the course. Halt outside of warm up area, make sure prior team has cleared the course. Acknowledge field judge. 8. Trot together to and through the water. 9. Trot to the wedge jump and pick up the dummy. Both riders work together to rescue the dummy. Take the dummy to the bank and leave him on the log at the top of the bank. 10. Trot off the bank and over the log jump. (only one rider needs to go over the jump) 11. Both riders trot to the barrel and pick up a length of crepe paper. Hold the crepe paper between you and trot or canter around the wedge jump and back to the barrels. Do not clasp or touch hands. Return paper to barrel or helper when complete. 12. Go to where the judge is, and face your team mate with your horses nose to nose. 1 st rider do a pivot on the forehand until you are stirrup to stirrup with your partner. 2 nd rider execute a pivot on the forehand until your horses are nose to nose again. Acknowledge judge.

9 Class: 12 Green Horse Arena: Western Events Arena Wait in start box until it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, approach gate and begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Open gate, enter arena, close gate. 2. Walk to pinwheel barrels. Pick up board, walk around barrels, keeping end of board in contact with 2 nd barrel at all times. After you have completed one full revolution, return board to barrel. 3. Walk through cowboy curtain 4. Walk to poles in center of arena. Halt between poles. Trot a figure 8, coming back between poles. When figure 8 is complete, halt between poles for 5 seconds. 6. Trot to can bin, walk through cans. 7. Trot to backing poles. Walk in, back all the way out. 8. Trot to barrel with umbrella. Pick up and open the umbrella. Hold umbrella over your head for 5 seconds, then close and return to barrel. 9. Walk through the noodle push obstacle. 10. Trot to Flag barrel. Pick up flag trot around pinwheel barrel obstacle, then return flag to barrel. 11. Trot to bridge. Walk onto bridge, halt in center for 5 seconds, then proceed off end of bridge. Acknowledge judge, then exit arena.

10 Class: 13 Novice Arena: Western Events Arena / Outside Course Maps 1 & 3 Wait in start box until it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, approach gate and begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Open gate, enter arena, close gate. 2. Walk to pinwheel barrels. Pick up board, trot around barrels, keeping end of board in contact with 2 nd barrel at all times. Trot one revolution, then change directions and trot one revolution in the opposite direction. 3. Walk through cowboy curtain 4. Walk to poles in center of arena. Halt between poles. Pick up a left lead, and canter (lope) around cone on the left. Come down to a trot between the poles, then pick up a right lead and canter (lope) around cone on the right. When figure 8 is complete, halt between poles for 5 seconds. 6 Pick up a trot and trot to can bin. Walk in, pause 5 seconds, walk out. 7. Trot to backing poles. Walk in, back all the way out. 8. Trot to barrel with umbrella. Pick up and open the umbrella. Trot a figure eight around the 2 nd barrel while holding open umbrella. Return to first barrel, close umbrella and replace on barrel. 9. Trot to and through noodle push. 10. Pick up flag, trot around pinwheel barrel obstacle, return flag to flag barrel. 11. Walk onto bridge. Halt in middle for 5 seconds. Then turn right and walk off bridge through L poles. Acknowledge judge and leave arena.

11 Class(s) 9- Adult Amateur 10- Rusty Spur Arena: Warm Up Area Wait near mounting block until it is your turn to compete, acknowledge judge. Once judge has acknowledged you, approach mounting block and begin course. You will have one minute to complete each obstacle. You will be given a warning when you have 15 seconds remaining. When one minute has elapsed the judge will ask you to move on to the next obstacle, and you will be scored accordingly. 1. Mount horse from either side. 2. Walk to and through mud puddle. 3. Walk over brush. 4. Trot to water box. Walk into box, halt in center for 5 seconds, then exit out the other side. 5. Walk to pinwheel barrels. Pick up board, trot around barrels, and keeping end of board in contact with 2 nd barrel at all times. Once a full revolution is completed, replace board on first barrel. 6. Trot to Suspension bridge. Walk onto and over bridge. 7. Trot to Teetor Totter. Walk onto Teetor Totter. Walk until it goes down, then halt 5 seconds before walking off. 8. Trot to tire obstacle, walk up and over. 9. Trot to pedestal. Walk up and over, all four feet should step on the pedestal. 10. Trot to Flag. Pick up the flag and trot a figure 8 around the barrels, then replace flag. 11. Trot to gate. Complete gate obstacle, right hand push. 12. Trot to center of arena. Pick up a canter and canter over the poles in a circle. After you complete one revolution, come down to a walk, change directions and canter one revolution in the other direction. Acknowledge the judge and exit.
