2 Museum Director Tracy Pitcox with Country Icons Norma Jean and Dolly Parton The largest piece in the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum s collection is Jim Reeves 1956 Flxible Tour bus. Jim and his band the Blue Boys traveled all over the country in Big Blue. It was later owned by the Wilburn Brothers, Nat Stuckey and Wilma Burgess. Thank you so much for purchasing our Heart of Texas Country Music Museum official coloring book! This book is filled with pages highlighting some incredible pieces of memorabilia from our museum along with some very talented entertainers! Country Music is more than just music. It is truly a way of life. We are allowed to celebrate that way of life each and every time that we open the doors to the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum. Thousands of great Country Music fans have journeyed to Brady, Texas, to visit our facility. The dedication of our invaluable volunteers and donors that enable us to operate is truly amazing. 3 The Heart of Texas Country Music Museum is filled with stage suits, musical instruments and memorabilia from over 100 Country Music Entertainers. From the great musical pioneers of Hank Thompson, Bob Wills and Ernest Tubb to some of the more modern day performers including George Strait, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, the museum is a treasure trove for the Country Music fan. Since opening in 2000, the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum has always been free and also houses an extensive gift shop with the proceeds benefiting the 501c3 non profit museum. 6 Pretty Miss Norma Jean and Dottsy were both successful RCA Recording artists before signing with Heart of Texas Records. 4

7 The Cherokee Cowboy Ray Price was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in This Nudie designed suit is part of our collection and was featured on his Ray Price Greatest Hits album. 5

8 Country Legends Johnny Wright and Kitty Wells donating one of Johnny s green stage suits to our Heart of Texas Country Music Museum. 6

9 Texas Country Music Hall of Famer Johnny Bush performing at the Heart of Texas Country Music Festival in Brady, Texas. Johnny wrote and recorded the multi million selling Whiskey River. 7

10 Amber Digby & Justin Trevino have recorded several great projects for Heart of Texas Records and even a duet album titled Keeping Up Appearances. 8

11 Country Music Hall of Famer Ronnie Milsap wearing a shirt that was designed by clothier Manuel. This shirt is part of the Manuel clothing exhibit at the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum. 9

12 The Coal Miners Daughter Loretta Lynn is the most awarded lady in the history of Country Music. Loretta gave this blue gown to the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum. 10

13 The International Ambassador of Country Music George Hamilton IV s biggest hit was Abilene. George recorded three albums for Heart of Texas Records. 11

14 Country Music Hall of Famer Johnny Cash and his wife June Carter Cash were two of the biggest legends in Country Music. The museum has this dress and Johnny s boots and Desert Storm fatigues on display. 12

15 Georgette Jones is the only child of Country Music Hall of Famer Members George Jones and Tammy Wynette. Georgette continues to tour and honor her parents music as the Princess of Country Music. 13

16 Texas Born Joe Paul Nichols and His Five Pennies band traveled all over the Southwest entertaining Country Music fans for over forty years. Joe Paul enjoyed a number one Country/Gospel song with Jesus Is The Same In California and was a great supporter of the museum. 14

17 Country Music Hall of Famer George Jones is one of the most recognized names in the music industry. Texas born, George wore many suits designed by Nudie the Rodeo Tailor. George is holding one of his Nudie suits donated to the museum by his friend Frankie Miller. 15

18 The Texas Troubadour Ernest Tubb sold over 40 million records during his career. Born in Crisp, Texas, E.T. became a long time member of the Grand Ole Opry and was elected to the Country Music Hall of Fame in He is wearing a suit designed by Nathan Turk that is part of the museum s collection. 16

19 Heart of Texas Recording Artists Kimberly Murray and Kaye Tolson both grew up around the Stephenville, Texas, area. They both started their careers working in the various Opry circuits in the state of Texas. 17

20 The apple doesn t fall far from the tree with the McCall family. Mother Mona McCall and daughter Guyanne McCall are not only great vocalist but great songwriters as well and are surrounded in this photo by Texas bluebonnets. 18

21 Canada s Hank Snow was born in 1914, and went on to record the multi million selling song I m Moving On. Hank s musical notes suit designed by Harvey Krantz along with his Songwriting Hall of Fame Award are currently on display at our museum. 19

22 Frankie Miller, Patsy Cline and Ferlin Husky have been major contributors to the Country Music industry. Frankie and Ferlin have both recorded projects for Heart of Texas Records. Patsy Cline is still the biggest selling female vocalist in the Country Music business. 20

23 Two of our young male vocalist on the Heart of Texas Records roster are Rance Norton and Landon Dodd. These two successful young men are doing their part for the preservation of Traditional Country Music while playing the Texas dance hall circuit. It a great honky tonk night when Rance or Landon hit the stage 21

24 Diane McCall grew up surrounded by Country Music. Diane recorded for Mega Records and toured with Country Music Hall of Famer Charlie Louvin. She is wearing an outfit from her album My Imagination that is now displayed at the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum. 22

25 Music Icon Dolly Parton is one of the most recognized and beloved entertainers in the world. The dress that Dolly is wearing was custom made for her and is a part of the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum collection. Dolly even recorded a promotional announcement for the museum encouraging people to be sure and tell them that Dolly said to come. A true music legend. 23

26 Heart of Texas Recording Artist Mary Lou Turner enjoyed a successful duet career with Country Music Hall of Famer Bill Anderson including a number one hit with Sometimes. Now living in Branson, Mary Lou is admirimg a pair of her custom designed rhinestone boots made by Nudie the Rodeo Tailor. l am nc. 27 Country Music Great Minnie Pearl delighted audiences with her humor for over fifty years. Our museum is honored to have one of her hats and these glasses in our memorabilia collection. The $1.98 price tag is still featured hanging from her hat. 25

28 T. Graham Brown has been a long time supporter of the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum even posting his positive comments on Yelp! We are proud to have T. s gold lame jacket that was featured on his Brilliant Conversationalist album. 26

29 Freddy Fender was born Baldemar Huerta in San Benito, Texas. He went on to enjoy a great career with songs like Wasted Days and Wasted Nights and Before The Next Teardrop Falls. This red suit was made by Harvey Krantz and is a featured part of our museum. 27

30 Paula Nelson, Willie Nelson and Heart of Texas Recording Artist Dallas Wayne make sure that Classic Country Music stays alive on SiriusXM Willie s Roadhouse. Dallas debut album for our record label is titled Songs The Jukebox Taught Me. Paula and Willie both join him on the project. 28
