We will start at 9.00am with: 13 years & 12 years 800m followed by: 9/Yr 4, 10 & 11 years 800m Each age group will be called out as another has finishes. Boys will be asked to leave their field event and then return. We will be working on each 800m age group taking no more than 30minutes.

2 Field Events It would be advantageous if schools only bring their TOP FIVE competitors for field events. Due to time restrictions, all field event competitors will have 2-3 ONLY attempts. Allocation of Jobs All schools will be allocated an event area as per program. Schools are to take control of their own time keeping and recording in all event areas. Could all schools have a representative ready for briefing at 7.45am. This representative is asked to meet with the Host school Sports Master trackside for instructions. Relays Relay events will ONLY be conducted on August 23 and 30. 5 HIGH JUMP HIGH JUMP HIGH JUMP Best Jump Best Jump Best Jump 1. FIELD EVENTS : Maximum of 5 competitors per school. This gives us approx. 20 competitors per pit. (ie. 2 jumps per height). : Maximum of 5 competitors per school (20-25 competitors per pit) and once again they will only receive 2 jumps (3 if time permits). : Maximum of 5 competitors per school (20-25 competitors per pit) and they will only receive 2 throws (3 if time permits). 2. TRACK EVENTS 800m: Under 9/Yr 4 competitors will run 800m. The number of heats will be dependant on the number of competitors wishing to start. 800m will be called out age group by age group. We will start from 9 years first and work up to 13 years. Time keepers for 800m are to be positioned on inside of track. Hurdles: These will be conducted at the same time as the 800m race. So schools will need to have at least 2 time keepers so to be able to get both 800m and hurdle times for their school. Time keepers for Hurdles are not to stand on the inside of the track 100m/200m: No restriction of competitors per school but please be mindful of time You may need at least 2 efficient time keepers as we will be pushing races through. Time keepers for 100m and 200m are to be positioned on inside of track.

6 RECORDING No official recording will be taken. Colleges. Schools WILL need multiple time keepers (Hurdles, 800m and 200m will all be running simultaneously) Officials will be asked to call out loudly the results and record all attempts on a slip as such (see below). Each competitor will receive one of these slips after they have completed their jump/throw. This can then be given to their school s team manager for recording purposes. With high jump they will receive this slip after they are eliminated. Eg. Slip Meet UQ Saturday July Second Throw Parking is available and free at UQ OTHER GENERAL INFORMATION UQ have a strictly NO PET POLICY. PLEASE DON T BRING ANY ANIMALS There will canteen facilities available Schools will provide all start caps for the entire pre season. Colleges allocated 100m/200m, 800m/1500m and Hurdles duties MUST supply a Starting Gun and Ear Muffs on the day. They must also have enough staff present to marshal these events as well. Please ensure that you have adequate college officials to do the requested jobs. They MUST be at the track READY TO START BY 7.45am. It is vital that we start ON TIME (7.45am SHARP). If competitors are late or not ready the event WILL commence without them. If you require any further information please contact the sports master of the host college for that meet.
