4 What do we expect? Focus on the athletes! Challenging races that test the athletes acording to the rules of our sport! Finding our way in unknown terrain! Courses and terrains that suit demands of the distance Interesting for spectators Fairness

High demands for organizers nomatter Small details can sadly ruin alot Humble atitude, but still high expectations We need to improve from last years expirences Fairness and Quality is essential for coaches and atheltes! My exprience as coach from many different competition!

6 Preperation for teams Bulletin is our bible Professional approach for most teams Still less money (get most out of it) Alot to do for coaches Deal with different situations each year nomatter The competition set the rules 21 days in the terrain before competition High altitude (7-21 days before) Logistics minimum travel/low energy Accomodation - cultural We do not set for «halfway» plans Compremises is an enemy Our plan builds on: Logistics (optimal solutions) Performing (a short term matter) Preparing (a long term matter)

We like new maps with good quality or most relevant maps Training possibilities (how did they get this possibility?) Have a coordinator with high-level expirence Twitter/facebook Is it fair? Start-interval Forking Hm? Same length! Big screen before start (GPS)

Information beforehand (bulletin) Often these are undetalied use the guidelines Wrong information Bring expirences coaches to the table Information during Simple and easy understandable TOM! Mapping ISOM and ISSOM (use them correctly)! Sprint is most difficult, small detail ruin everything! Modelevents (put some effort in these if not don t do them) Courses Rigth lenght!!! Old races in terrain! Don t run as interval According to competition rules No sprint tricks
