2 Revised 28/02/17 including Amendment #1 The International Musto Skiff World Championship will be organised by Club Nàutic S Arenal (Bahía de Palma, Spain), in co-operation with the International Musto Skiff Class Association and authorised by the RFEV. NOTICE OF RACE 1. RULES 1.1 The regatta will be governed by The Rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing. 1.2 National authority prescriptions will not apply. 1.3 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence. 2. ADVERTISING Boats may be requested to display advertising in accordance with World Sailing regulation 20. Event bow numbers, stickers and bibs may be required to be carried or worn. 3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY 3.1 The Championship is open to all boats of the Musto Skiff Class that meet with the obligations of the Class Rules and their National Authority, in the case that a National Authority exists. 3.2 Eligible boats may enter by completing the online entry form and paying the required fee by credit card through the event website 4. CLASSIFICATION The World Sailing Eligibility Code will not apply. 5. FEES The Entry Fee will be Early Entry Price Before 26/03/2017 Standard Entry Price Before 26/04/2017 Late Entry Price After 26/04/2017 The Entry Fee includes boat and trailer storage and tickets to the principal events.

3 6. PRE-EVENT REGATTA A pre-event is scheduled to start on the 27th May and will allow start and course configuration experience. 7. SCHEDULE 7.1 Registration and equipment inspection will be as follows: Friday 26th May Saturday 27th May Sunday 28th June hours hours hours 7.2 Pre-Event Racing Schedule Saturday 27th May 1300 hours 2 practice 7.3 Racing Schedule Monday 29th May Tuesday 30th May Wednesday 31st May Thursday 1st June Friday 2nd June Saturday 3rd June Lay-day (racing possible dependent on forecast) 7.4 The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race on Monday 29th May is 1300 hours 7.5 On Saturday 3 rd June, there will be no warning signal after 16: are scheduled 8. MEASUREMENTS 8.1 The Organisers may weigh, measure or inspect any boat and or her equipment and sails before, during or after the.

4 8.2 Registration of sails and limitation stamping will take place during periods stated in 7.1 above. 8.3 Chartered or loaned boats shall display the National letters and sail numbers of the helmsman. 9. SAILING INSTRUCTIONS The Sailing Instructions will be available after 1000 hours on Friday 26th May at Registration 10. VENUE 10.1 The venue of the regatta is Club Nàutic Arenal. The location of the marina and the clubhouse is shown in Attachment A 10.2 The racing area will be located in the Bay of Palma. Attachment 'B' shows the location of the racing area 11. THE COURSES The course to be sailed will be windward-leeward configuration with fleet racing. Spreader marks and leeward gates shall be used. 12. PENALTY SYSTEM 12.1 Rule 44.1 is changed so that only one turn, including one tack and one gybe, is required Decisions of the International Jury constituted in accordance with Appendix 'N' will be final as provided in Rule SCORING 13.1 The Low Point System of Appendix A will apply are required to be completed to constitute a series (a) When fewer than 5 have been completed a boat's series score will be the total of her race scores. (b) When from 5 to 9 have been completed a boat's series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.

5 (c) When 10 or more have been completed, a boat's series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst two scores. 14. SUPPORT BOATS Support boats shall be identified as decided by the Organisers. 15. LAUNCHING AND BERTHING Boats and trolleys shall be kept in their assigned places. 16. RADIO COMMUNICATION 16.1 A boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones. 17. PRIZES The prizes will be given as follows, with the addition of extra prizes decided by the international class association. 1st -10th overall 1st 3rd Youth (under 25) 1st 3rd Master (over 45) 1st 3rd Grand Master (over 55) 1st-3rd bronze fleet 1st-3rd silver fleet 18. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See Rule 4 Decision to Race. The organising authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during or after the regatta.

INSURANCE The boat is required to hold adequate third-party insurance with a minimum cover of Euros., and it is the owner or owner s representative s sole and inescapable responsibility to ensure that the insurance is in place and is adequate. 20. TELEVISION & PHOTOGRAPHERS' RIGHTS Competitors give absolute right and permission for video footage or photographs of themselves or their boat to be published in any media for press, editorial or advertising purposes. We may need to add A drone may be flown by a licensed and insured company to record video and still imagery primarily for the event advertising and promotion. 21 ACCOMMODATION The Official hotel is azuline Hotel Bahamas located at 5 minutes walk from the Club.
