From Jan 1990 to Mar 1994 I was employed by Incat Designs-Sydney as Naval Architect and Computer systems manager. I worked on many catamaran projects from 24m to 74m. 2. Since Mar 1994 I have been working as a professional Naval Architect selling designs and services to Naval Architects, operators and shipyards. 3. I was involved in stability, lines fairing and structural design as part of the design team. Vessel : - 74m Wave Piercing Catamaran Ferry Was developed from 030 design and incorporated a new hull design with increased keel rocker and achieved significant performance improvement. I used 3D CAD to produce new lines and outlines for drawing updates. Vessel : - 78m Wave Piercing Catamaran Ferry An extension of vessel 032 but incorporating new structural concepts to increase strength and reduce global deflections. Involved as part of structure design team. Vessel :- 81m Wave Piercing Catamaran Ferry Working as a sub-contractor for Incat Tasmania I assisted in resolving DNV classification issues and finalising structural design. 3 x 25m Catamaran Ferries for Matilda Cruises, Sydney. Designed by Grahame Parker Design and built by Norman Wright & Sons, Brisbane. A mid 20 knot low wash ferry designed 100% in composites for Sydney harbour. SFM assisted with design to produce an extremely light and efficient ferry. 6 x 25m Catamaran Ferries for Brisbane City Council, Brisbane. Designed by Grahame Parker Design and built by AYB, Brisbane. A mid 20 knot low wash ferry designed for Brisbane River. The design features 1m wide hulls and a composite superstructure SFM assisted with design to produce an extremely light and efficient ferry. Vessel :- 86m Wave Piercing Catamaran Ferry A design partnership between Stuart Friezer and Incat Tasmania resulted in evolutionary changes in this larger vessel. A departure from WPC's previously designed by Incat Designs - Sydney, with longer hulls, LCB further aft, lighter more optimised structures and capable of carrying busses. Acting as senior Naval Architect I was involved in preliminary design, 3D modelling, lines, weight estimating and structural design. Vessel :- 91m Wave Piercing Catamaran Ferry Cooperative design arrangements continued with further refinements resulting in significant weight and cost savings from previous vessel. I developed techniques for using Finite Element analysis to design both global and local structures. 3

4 Stuart Friezer Page 4 25/03/2011 Vessel :- 96m Wave Piercing Catamaran Ferry A much greater deadweight capacity and the ability to carry trucks made this design a milestone in the development of large WPC ferries.cooperative design arrangement. Vessel :- 96m Wave Piercing Catamaran Ferry This version of the 96mWPC has a full length superstructure with increased passenger numbers. Cooperative design arrangement. Vessel :- 98m Wave Piercing Catamaran Ferry Significant developments in hull shape improved seakeeping and performance while structural reliability was raised to a much higher level. Cooperative design arrangement. Vessel 061 incorporated new demi-hull shape by Stuart Friezer. These vessels are being used in commercial and military applications. Concept Design CPV129 :- 120m Wave Piercing Catamaran Ferry Designed by Incat Tasmania and Stuart Friezer. A much bigger vessel made possible by the development of new, more powerful engines. Concept Design CPV112 :- 112m Wave Piercing Catamaran Ferry Designed by Incat Tasmania and Stuart Friezer. I relocated to Tasmania for a year from Oct As a result of design optimisation studies, the 120m WPC was reduced in length to 112m with the same cargo carrying capacity. She is currently(2006) under construction as Incat Tasmania yard m Catamaran Ferry for Red Funnel Line, Southhampton to Isle of Wight route, UK. Element Analysis (FEA) techniques to ensure maximum global strength and structural reliability. 50m Trimaran Ferry. Element Analysis (FEA) techniques to resolve issues brought up by DNV. 60m Trimaran Motor Yacht - "White Rabbit". 4

(Reports available.) 23m Wave Piercing Catamaran Motor Yacht. An ocean capable design with 14 knot speed and nautical mile range (at 10 knots). Designed and built to survey standards it incorporates experience and technology developed over 14 years resulting in a very efficient and modern motor yacht. Launched Oct '03. 22m Wave Piercing Catamaran Ferry for Tangalooma Resort. A small high speed resort ferry designed to handle the nasty Moreton Bay seas. An extremely efficient vessel achieved by lightweight strong structures and slipery hull shape. Launched Sept '04. 27m Wave Piercing Catamaran Ferry - "HABA 5 - EVOLUTION" for Haba Dive in Port Douglas QLD. A high speed dive ferry designed for day tours of 100 passengers. An extremely efficient vessel achieved by lightweight strong structures and slipery hull shape. Launched July '05. Has a reputation for being the fastest and most efficient ferry of its size in the Cairns region. 5
