1 Greater Toledo Aquatic Club 2018 DiSalle Holiday Turkey Meet Sanction: USA Sanction #OH-19SC-35. This meet is being conducted under the rules of Ohio Swimming, Inc., and held under the Sanction of USA Swimming. Date: Saturday and Sunday, November 3rd and 4th, 2018 Times: Saturday, November 3rd 8un, 9-10, Boys Warm-up 7:15am Session Starts 8:05am Girls, Open Warm-up TBD Session Starts TBD Sunday, November 4th 8un, 9-10, Boys Warm-up 7:15am Session Starts 8:05am Girls, Open Warm-up TBD Session Starts TBD Place: Cooper Pool, Bowling Green State University Recreation Center Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio The Cooper Pool is a ten-lane, twenty-five yard pool with Colorado timing and scoreboard display. It has been measured and certified in accordance with USAS section C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming. The minimum water depth, measured in accordance with Article , is 12 feet at the start end and 12 feet at the turn end. Multiple-lane continuous warm-up/warm-down is available outside the competition area. The gutter system is 6 inches below the deck for easy entrance/exit. Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer's legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement.

2 Entry Fee: Individual events: $5.00 Relay events: $8.00 LSC Surcharge: $2.00 per swimmer There will be a $25 surcharge for any entries not made via Hy-Tek. Admissions: There will be a $5 daily charge for admission. Facility Rules: The swimming facility at BGSU is one of the finest in the Midwest. To ensure its continued availability for USA Swimming age-group meets, we ask that all swimmers and spectators observe the following meet rules. (1) Swimmers and spectators must enter and exit only through the front entrance of the SRC. Other means of access to the building are for the use of the SRC staff only. (2) Smoking is not allowed in any area of the Recreation Center. (3) All swimmers and spectators are to stay in the areas of the Recreation Center designated for the swim meet (Cooper Pool, locker room, and spectator areas). Other areas of the Recreation Center will be in use by individuals or groups during the meet. Swimmers are not allowed to enter Andrews Pool or the saunas located in the locker rooms. Tours of the facility can be arranged at the main entrance. (4) No food or beverages of any kind are to be brought into the building. Concessions are available at the meet and many restaurants are within a few minutes of the Center. (5) No alcoholic beverages are permitted in or around the Center. (6) Sound boxes and television sets may not be brought into the building. Small ipod and Walkman -type units with earphones may be used. (7) Only swimmers, coaches, and meet personnel are to be on deck or in the hospitality room during the meet. (8) For their own safety, swimmers must wear shoes or sandals when they leave the pool and locker room areas. (9) All SRC rules and regulations are in effect during all meet sessions. Heat Sheets: Heat sheets will be sold at the admissions desk for $10. The swimmer s age on Saturday, November 3, 2018, will govern the meet entries. GTAC reserves the right to limit entries in events and/or change the meet schedule. We anticipate that this meet will fill early and suggest teams submit entries as soon as possible. Coaches will be notified of any changes to their entries. The host club reserves the right to enter

3 swimmers who have not achieved the time standards. For information, please contact Elizabeth McGrady at Rules: USA and Ohio Swimming Rules will govern this meet. Warm-up procedures will be as prescribed in the Ohio Swimming Handbook. DECK ENTRIES WILL BE PERMITTED. All entries must be in yard times. We will not convert times. Swimmer s age and USA numbers must be included on the entry form. GTAC reserves the right for its swimmers to swim events regardless of entry times. All participating swimmers, officials and coaches must be current USA Swimming members. No swimmer will be permitted to compete unless the swimmer is a member as provided in Article 302. USA Swimming registrations will NOT be accepted at this meet. At a sanctioned competitive event, USA Swimming athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warmup, competition, and warm-down. Swimmers participating under the provisions of or USA Swimming s open border policy must be under the supervision of their own coach or a USA Swimming member coach. The Meet Director or Meet Referee may assist the swimmer in making arrangements for such supervision, but it is the swimmer s responsibility to make such arrangements prior to the start of the meet Warm-up Procedures: USA-Swimming and Ohio LSC swimming safety guidelines and warm-up procedures will be in effect at this meet. Warm-ups will be Control-yourown-lane warm-up procedure. Swimmers must enter the pool feet first in a cautious manner with one hand in contact with the pool edge. Sprints will be coached controlled. Sprints will be open only when the lane has been cleared by the team(s) in the lane. Sprints will be one way. After each sprint the swimmer will be required to exit the pool and walk around. 4 Officials: Officials from other clubs are always welcome to officiate. Please contact Joe Sobczak at Entry Entries must be in our hands no later than October 26, Deadline: Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. We expect the meet will fill quickly. We require entries using Hytek s Team Manager or via Team Unify. At the time With of the entry, the coach or person entering the swimmer must alert the Disabilities: Meet Director, the Ohio Adapted Chair and the Meet Referee regarding the nature of the swimmer s disability, the swimmer s classification (if classified) and special accommodations or seeding arrangements being requested. Please Note: The host club, with the consent of the Meet Director or Referee, may modify the time schedule or recommended lane assignments, depending on the pool configuration, number of swimmers, or other factors, as long as safety is not compromised. Any such change shall be announced and/or posted prominently in the pool area. Swimmers who attend without a coach must have proper documentation as required by Ohio Swimming. Audio/Video Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone, is not Restrictions: permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms. Under no circumstances are cameras or any other recording device allowed in the area immediately behind the starting blocks at either end of the racing course(s) while they are in use for race starts during the competition and warm-up. Deck Changing: Positive Check-In: Please refer to the Safe Sport section of the Ohio Swimming, Inc. policies and procedures for further information regarding the use of visual recording devices. Deck changes are prohibited. Positive check in for the 500 Free will be available at the Admin. Table and will close 45 minutes after warm-ups have started.

5 Event Notes: The 500 Free will be Fastest to Slowest, alternating women and men for the Open Events. Unless approved in writing in advance of the competition by the Vice President or Program Operations, operation of a drone, or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coach areas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present. It is understood and agreed that USA Swimming shall be free from any liabilities or claims for damages arising by reason of injuries to anyone during the conduct of the event.
