1 2017 Kawana Waters Swimming Club State Preparation Meet Friday 15 th & Saturday 16 th September 2017 Kawana Aquatic Centre, Sportsman s Parade, Bokarina It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 2017 Kawana Waters Swimming Club State Preparation Meet to be held on Friday 15 th & Saturday 16 th September. All times achieved at this meet will be sanctioned by Swimming Queensland. This meet will be held over 2 Sessions. TIME: Friday Evening: 5:30pm warm up for a 6:30pm start Saturday: 7:30am warm up for an 8:30am start

2 LOCATION: POOL ENTRY: NOMINATION FEES: Kawana Aquatic Centre Sportsman s Parade Bokarina Qld Gates open 5:30pm Friday and 7:30am Saturday $3.00 Entry for all Spectators and Non-swimmers Free Admission for Competitors, Coaches & Children Under 7 years. $7.00 per event Online Entries + Online credit card fee. Entries are via OME and can be accessed via the following link: AGE: Age as at 15 th September, 2017 ELIGIBILITY: FOOD: ENTRIES: Entry is open to any SQ registered competitor swimmer. Entries from other states swimmers will be accepted with clearance from their state swimming body. There will be a BBQ running as well as the pool kiosk. We will be accepting online entries only. Incomplete or late entries will not be accepted. NO MONIES WILL BE RETURNED FOR INCORRECT NOMINATIONS. NOMINATION OPEN: Tuesday 25 th July 2017 NOMINATIONS CLOSE: Monday 4 th Sept 2017 at 6pm EVENTS: TIMEKEEPERS: AWARDS: As per attached List PLEASE NOTE: TO BE ABLE TO SWIM THE OPEN EVENTS THE SWIMMER MUST BE MINIMUM OF 11YRS AS AT 15 TH SEPT Clubs will be required to provide Timekeepers on the day. Medals will be awarded as follows: 50m events fastest 3 placegetters in each AGE group 8,9,10 yrs 100m events fastest 3 placegetters in each AGE group - 10yrs, 11yrs & 12yrs Cash Prizes will be awarded as follows: 100m events fastest 3 placegetters in each AGE group (13yrs, 14yrs,15yrs & over) 1 st $10, 2 nd $5 & 3 rd $3 Open events (11 & Over) (200m events, 400IM & Free, 800m Free, 1500m Free) fastest 3 placegetters in each event 1 st $10, 2 nd $5 & 3 rd $3 M/D Open s(50m events) will receive cash prizes only fastest 3 placegetters in each event - 1 st $10, 2 nd $5 & 3 rd $3 Medals and Cash Prizes must be collected on the day of the meet as they will not be made available for collection nor will they be posted out after the meet.

3 AGE CHAMPIONS: Age Champion will be awarded to the following age groups: 8yrs, 9yrs, 10yrs, 11yrs, 12yrs, 13yrs, 14yrs and 15yrs & over For the 8, 9 & 10 year age groups, points will be awarded in the 50m events only, all four events must be swum to be eligible (scored events). For the 11 & 12 year age groups, points will be awarded in the 100m events only, all four events must be swum to be eligible (scored events). For the 13, 14, 15& over age groups, points will be awarded in the 100m events only (multi-age 100m events), all four events must be swum to be eligible (scored events). For MD, points will be awarded in the Open 50m MD events; all four events must be swum to be eligible. In the event of a tie, the tied swimmer with the lowest total time for all of the scored events competed in, will be the Age Champion for that age group. PYSCH SHEETS & RESULTS: Pysch sheets/entry Lists and results will be displayed on the Wide Bay Swimming website It is the responsibility of your clubs race secretary to check the Pysch Sheets/Entry Lists as they are posted on the Wide Bay Swimming website. Notifications of any discrepancies should be received within 48 hours of them being published on the Wide Bay Swimming Website. Results can be found on the Wide Bay Swimming Website within 24 hours of completion of meet. QUALIFYING TIMES*: 1500m events - 20:15:00 800m events - 11:30:00 400IM - 7:00:00 400m Free - 6:00:00 *If you wish to enter the 1500/800/400 free or the 400IM and have not competed in these events before (i.e. do not have a time) you may enter with your coach supplying a time. Please through your request to enter these events only to racekawana@gmail.com for the attention of Sarah Pendergast, by the closing date. The following details will need to be provided in your Swimmer name, DOB, Club, Coaches name and the time supplied (must be under the QT). We will not be accepting coaches times just because you wish to be seeded in a better position, only if you have never swum this event before. RULES: PROGRAMS: SAL/SQ rules will apply. One start rule will apply. Feet first entry is required for backstroke entry. Programs will be available to purchase in the morning at the entry gate.
