1 Neptune Lattof YMCA Out-of-Shape Invitational ** This will NOT be a sanctioned USA meet.** ***YMCA National is offering the Virtual Meet during this weekend, the results will be submitted to the National database. This resulted in the age-up date being the National Virtual Meet date. The Neptune Lattof Y Swim Team Out-of-Shape Invitational is a short distance meet designed to help coaches get early times for new swimmers and give all teams a positive fun start to the YMCA swim season. There are no qualifying entry times required for registration. This is an excellent opportunity for new swimmers to experience a swim meet. Due to requests, the meet will continue to be split into 2 sessions. One session for year olds and one session for 13&Overs and 8&Unders. You will also notice that for the 13&Overs, there are 100 yard swims. The 13&Overs are able to mix and match between the 50 and 100 yard swims. Date: Sunday, October 23, 2016 Location: Facility: Lattof YMCA 300 E. Northwest Hwy Des Plaines, IL Blake pool indoor pool, heated, 25 yard, 6 lane, fresh water, non turbulent, single lane lines. Starting blocks. IST timing equipment. There is indoor seating for approximately 200 spectators with more seating upstairs in the gym. The competition course has not been certified in accordance with C(4). NOTE: Use of audio or visual recording devices, including a cell phone is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms, or locker rooms.

2 NOTE: Except where venue facilities require otherwise, changing into or out of swimsuits other than in locker rooms or other designated areas is not appropriate and is prohibited. Official Rules: Time Finals: Events: Meet Schedule: Current USA Swimming Technical rules shall govern this meet. All events will be conducted on a time final basis. Event list attached. Session I 9&10 and 11&12 year olds 7:30am doors open 8:00-8:25am and 8:25-8:50am two sessions of warm ups 8:40am Timers and Officials Meetings 9:00am Session 1 begins Session II 13&14, 15&Older, and 8&Unders 1:45-2:10pm and 2:10-2:35pm two sessions of warm ups 2:30pm Timers and Officials Meetings 2:45pm Session II begins Warm ups: Awards: Scoring: Warm up lanes will be determined after entries are received. Lane Assignments will be ed and given in the coaches packets, which will be available at the officials table. Medals will be given for 1 st -3 rd place and ribbons will be given from 4 th -12 th place. Trophies will be awarded to the teams with the 5 highest point scores. The top twelve places will be scored as follows: Individual events: All relays are for fun! Heat prizes will be given on deck to the relay team that comes in 1 st place for each heat. Meet Information: A swimmer may swim a maximum of 3 individual events and any eligible relay. Entry Forms: Submit entries to Nicole Smokowicz in a HyTek file to neptunecoaches@gmail.com. The meet will be run on Meet Manager. There will be no deck entries.

Make checks payable to the Lattof YMCA, or transfers will be done to account number: Midnight on Tuesday, October 18, All entries shall be sent via to Nicole at neptunecoaches@gmail.com. If paying by check, due at the meet. The bullpen will be located just off the entry doors of the gym for all age groups. We recognize this meet will have swimmers that are relatively new to swimming. Therefore, we ask each team to submit a bullpen contact to help the meet run as smooth as possible. In the gym, each team is responsible for providing a monitor for their team. Each lane must have at least one coach supervising each team in the lane at all times. During warm ups, the first 15 minutes will be for general warm ups with all swimmers swimming in a circle swim pattern. During the last 10 minutes of warm ups all lanes will swim one-way sprints. We will have two timers with stopwatches at each lane, backup button, and backup timer. We may need timers from each team, your team may be responsible for timing depending on the number of swimmers attending, lane assignments will be ed prior to the meet and posted at the meet as well. Free!! Free!! Heat sheets $3.00 Final Results: Concessions: Swim Shop: Smoking: One copy of the final results will be mailed to each team. There will be a full concession stand that will open at 8:00am. There will be a breakfast menu as well as a lunch menu. Swim apparel will be for sale. Smoking is not allowed on the property.

4 Relay Descriptions The first set of relays are Freestyle relays that will be scored and awarded normally. The other relays are for fun! Heat prizes will be given on deck to the relay team that comes in 1 st place for each heat. They are mixed events and can be mixed as needed. Please Nicole if you have any questions about the relays. Session I: 9&10 and 11&12 Relays Pumpkin Relays (100 yard) Each relay is comprised of 4 swimmers for each age group; mixed of boys and/or girls. Each swimmer will push the pumpkin to the other end of the pool without touching the pumpkin with their hands. The pumpkin must touch the end of the pool before the next swimmer starts. All starts and exchanges will begin from within the water. ****Immediately after the Pumpkin Relays**** Coach/Parent Relay (200 yard) Each relay is comprised of 4 swimmers (coaches and/or parents). Each swimmer will swim 50 yards. Session II: 13&14 and 15&Over Relays Ghost Relays (100 yard) Each relay is comprised of 4 swimmers mixed of boys and/or girls 13&Over. Each swimmer will put on a white ghost t-shirt and swim it to the other end. The swimmers will pass the t-shirt to each other. All starts and exchanges will from pool deck. Each swimmer will need to jump into the water; no diving from the shallow end of the pool. 8&Under Relay Blackhole Relay (100 yard) Each relay is comprised of 4 swimmers mixed of boys and/or girls 8&Under. Each swimmer will put on the inflatable tube and swim/kick it to the other end. The swimmers will pass the tube to each other. All starts and exchanges will begin from within the water.
