1 LA LUZ at VALLE VISTA POOL RULES LA LUZ at VALLE VISTA POOL, LLC (the Association ) has set forth the following rules for the use of the private member pool. These rules have been developed with reasonableness and the overall best interests of the members in mind. Interpretation of the rules is a prerogative of the Association. In order to accommodate unusual or unforeseen circumstances, exceptions to the rules may be requested. Variance from a rule will be decided by the Association based on the request s impact on precedence and on other pool members. These rules are intended to ensure maximum enjoyment for as many members as possible. We realize that all members will not favor all rules. However, it is the hope of thee Association that everyone will abide by them for the mutual benefit of the community. The Association may suspend the pool area privileges of serious or habitual offenders of the rules, or for nonpayment of fees. Trespassers will be prosecuted. To report vandalism or other problems call: Tony or Roland The pool does not have lifeguards. All persons using the pool complex are doing so at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety. An adult (18 years or older) who assumes responsibility for the child s safety MUST accompany children under the age of 13 years. Annual Pool membership fee is $ Toddlers (age 5 and under) are not to be in the pool unless an adult (18 years or older) is in the water with them. Children s safety and behavior are the responsibility of the adult (18 years or older) who accompanies them. Please monitor your children s activities. Running, jumping, diving and excessive horseplay are not permitted. Bikes and skateboards are not to be used inside the fence. Abusive, loud or profane language is not permitted Floats, inflatables toys and air mattresses are not permitted in the pool during times of high usage or when the use of such articles would infringe on the activities of others in the pool.

2 Children who are not toilet trained must wear rubber pants with a diaper, training pants, or similar protective wear. The law requires a pool to be shut down and treated in the event of decal contamination. Please help to protect the health and enjoyment of all pool patrons. Consumption of food, other than beverages, should be limited to the designated area. Beverages in non-breakable containers are permitted in the pool complex. At no time should drinks be poured into the pool. The pool complex is a non-smoking area. Please do not smoke inside the fence. The area at the pool entrance is to be used for day parking only. No parking in front of mailbox area. Overnight parking of vehicles I not allowed, without prior permission from the Association. All trash should be deposited in the garbage containers provided. Please leave the area around the tables clean. Pool furniture shall not be removed from complex, put into the pool, or used for any activities other than its designed purposes. Members should limit the number of guests to a number that does not have a negative impact on the use and enjoyment or the pool by other members. Normally, this means, one guest family per member. A pool member, who is responsible for guests safety and conduct, must accompany guests at all times. Guest fee will be $5 per day per guest. No pets allowed inside the pool complex (inside fence) Organized recurring activities involving groups of people, such as swimming lessons or water aerobics, are limited to pool members. A pool member may sponsor special events, such as birthday parties, where non-members may participate, but a member must be present at all times. The association must approve all such uses. Members must reserve the date and time of the special event in advance. The reservation for the special event will not entitle one to exclusive use of the pool facility, and under no circumstances will the use of the pool by members be restricted during such special event. The fee for special events is $ for a 2 hour period of time. All guests must sign a waiver provided by the Association. Climbing over the fence or gate to avoid using a key is prohibited and is considered trespassing under the law. Such actions are dangerous as well as illegal Problems or concerns about water quality, equipment, or safety should be reported to the Association immediately.

3 Swimsuits are required no cut offs, street clothes or thong swimsuits. Tee shirts are acceptable for protection from the sun. No person having an open cut, bandage, plaster cast, infectious disease (e.g. conjunctivitis), or obvious signs of infections will be permitted to enter the swimming pool. For the health of pool patrons, members and guests with an infectious condition are expected to refrain from using the pool, even when symptoms of an infection are not visible or obvious to others (e.g. diarrhea). Weapons of any kind are prohibited in the pool facility Alcoholic beverages of any kind are prohibited in the pool facility, except during special events sanctioned by the Association. Members and visitors are expected to help maintain the cleanliness of the pool facility by properly disposing of trash and by cleaning up their own spills, food debris, etc. Please report any unsanitary conditions in the pool facility to the Association. No running, roughhousing, or excessively rough play or drinking is permitted in the pool facility. No running jumps into the pool are allowed. No excessive or disruptive screaming or splashing is permitted in the pool facility. Music that is excessively lout or is abusive, vulgar, or harassing in nature is not allowed. No hard objects (e.g. tennis balls, plastic Frisbees, etc.) are allowed in the pool facility. Members have the authority to remove or ban any object from the pool that is believed to adversely impact the safety of pool patrons, including any object that may obstruct the view swimmers. Obey the no diving signs. No diving is allowed. The following rules will be strictly enforced to protect the Association from fines, sanction, and possible pool closure by the Health Department. Please advise others whom you observe in violation. No Glass of any kind is permitted inside the fenced area. The pool gate is to remain closed at all times. Do not prop it pen with chars or other items. Members are expressly forbidden to provide key to non-members of the pool facility, or to those whose privileges to use the pool have been suspended. Do not open the gate for those without keys, unless you recognize them as a member of the pool.
