All swimmers may participate. Meet program available via pdf and meet mobile before the meet. Morning Session - Warm-up: 7:30 am, Meet Start: 8:30 am. Afternoon Session: Will not start before 12:30 pm following a 60 minute warm up No ribbons or scoring. From 494: Take Penn Avenue Exit, Head North, turn right on 75th Street and go two blocks to school Note: Pool is on far east side of the building (right when looking at front of middle school) 8 lanes, 25 yard indoor pool with lanelines and backstroke pennants. Slanted Starting blocks are 30 inches above the water surface. The minimum water depth, measured in accordance with Article is 8.5 ft at the start end and 4 ft at the turn end. The competition course HAS been certified in accordance to C(4). The copy of such certification is on file with USA Swimming. Please park in designated areas and do not park in nearby church lot. ENTRIES Entries To: Lucas Baarlaer lucas.baarlaer@piranhaswimclub.org, Form of Entries: Entry Start Date: ED entries are preferred. Please follow these guidelines when submitting ED ENTRIES: 1. Use Hy-Tek Team Manager (Version 5.0) to send entries. 2. a TEXT FILE of your entries along with the TEAM MANAGER FILE this allows the Entries Chair to double check that the number of swimmers and entries on TM matches the number of swimmers and entries in your Text File. If they match, everything is ok, if they do NOT match, we can trouble shoot BEFORE the meet is seeded to make sure no swimmers are left out of the meet. This is extremely IMPORTANT! 3. Please include coach s name, phone numbers and address so we may contact you if there is any problem with your entry data. 4. Any REVISIONS to entries must be a COMPLETE REPLACEMENT of the previous entries file. The previous entries will be deleted! A REVISED TEXT FILE must accompany the REVISED TEAM MANAGER file. 5. Bring the Fee Calculation Form and your payment to the meet and see the Meet Director or Entries Chair before you write your check. 6. Meet Results will be ED unless otherwise arranged. Please indicate your address on the Fee Calculation Form. 7. If you your entries, you will receive an reply as confirmation. If you DO NOT receive an reply from the Entries Chair then call or until a confirmation has been sent. Entries will be accepted beginning at 8:00 pm on Monday, December 26, Please note that entries will be filled using the following process: 1. 3 2. A team may submit entries that exceed their pre-commit cap and it is encouraged that they do so if they have swimmers that want to attend the meet. However, the Meet director will determine if excess entries will be accepted as warranted by meet timeline. 3. If meet timelines are in excess of what is acceptable then a team will be requested to cut back to their original maximum cap they committed to. Entry Close Date: Entries will close at 11 PM on Wednesday, February 01, This is the final date that entries will be accepted for the meet. Entry Limitations: Age of a swimmer is determined by their age on the first day of the meet. A swimmer may compete in a maximum of 4 individual events per day and 1 Relay (5 Total) All seed times must be in yards. ELIGIBILITY / ATHLETES Eligibility: Swimmer must be 6 years old or older on day of meet Racing start Certification: USA Swimming Membership: Swimmers without A Coach Present: Any swimmer entered in the meet must be certified by a USA Swimming member-coach as being proficient in performing a racing start or must start each race from within the water. When unaccompanied by a member-coach, it is the responsibility of the swimmer or the swimmer s legal guardian to ensure compliance with this requirement. No swimmer will be permitted to compete unless the swimmer is a member as Provided in Article 302 of USA Swimming Rules. All coaches must be current members as provided in Article 302 of USA Swimming Rules. Any club or individual entering a non-usa Swimming registered swimmer will be subject to a $25 fine per event per swimmer. USA Swimming athlete members must be under the supervision of a USA Swimming member coach during warm-up, competition and warm-down. The Meet Director or Meet Referee shall assist the athlete in making arrangements for such supervision. MEET ADMINISTRATION, CONDUCT Coach s Meeting: Warm-up: Rules and Regulations: Changes to the Meet Information: Will take place on a regular basis at the discretion of the referee. Current MSI and USA Swimming Rules will govern all aspects of the warm-ups. If warmup procedures have been modified to accommodate the size of the meet, the procedures MUST be prominently posted in the pool area. Swimmers and coaches are expected to be acquainted with all rules and regulations; the NO Diving and Slip-In Entry rules will be strictly enforced. All information, rules and regulations including time standards, schedules, order of events, meet operations, and requirements will be in accordance with Minnesota Swimming Inc. policies, rules and regulations and USA Swimming Rules and Regulations current edition, and take precedence over any errors or omissions on this form. Any changes to the meet information will be discussed, reviewed and voted on at the coaches meeting held each morning before the beginning of the first session of the day. Changes must be approved by a 100% vote of coaches in attendance at the appointed meeting. Prohibited: Deck changing: Deck changes are prohibited. 4 Use of audio or visual recording devices including a cell phone, is not permitted in changing areas, rest rooms or locker rooms. Operations of a drone or any other flying apparatus, is prohibited over the venue (pools, athlete/coach areas, spectator areas and open ceiling locker rooms) any time athletes, coaches, officials and/or spectators are present. Distance Events: Check box if this does not apply to this meet Open Lane Swims: Check box if this does not apply to this meet Heats for distance events may be combined across gender at the Meet Referee s discretion. Minnesota Scratch rules will be in effect. A positive check-in will be required for the 400 IM, 500 Free and 1650 Free. Check-in will be required at the timing table by the time or event # stated at the coach s meeting. In the AM sessions the 400 IM and 500 Free will be swam slowest to fastest girls and then boys without alternation. There will not be a 10 minute break before distance events in the AM sessions. Warm-up is in the diving well. In the PM session the 400 IM will be swam slowest to fastest girls and then boys without alteration. In the PM session the 500 Free and the 1650 Free will be swam fastest to slowest alternating girls and then boys. In the PM sessions there will be a 10 minute break before the 500 and 1650 Free events. The MSI Open Lane Swim procedure willbe available at this meet. The open lane fee is $ Sign-up is on a first come basis at the timing table. Swimmers must be registered in the swim meet in order to have the opportunity to participate in Open Lane Swims. In the event of a missed heat, the Referee will determine if the missed swim may occur and how it is conducted. Swimmers may swim events for which they have no times. Swimmers may not exceed the event limit of4 events including Open Lane Swims. Swimmers may scratch an event in order to swim on Open Lane Swim to stay within the entry limit.
