1 Eye Guard Certification Policy That only: SQUASH CANADA EYE GUARD POLICY Amended November 13, 2018 (Amendments highlighted) 1. Protective eyewear appearing on the Squash Canada list of acceptable eye guards meeting the ASTM designation F803 (Standard Specification for Eye Protectors for Use by Players of Racquet Sports), AND 2. Eyewear currently certified by the World Squash Federation ( shall be allowable at any Squash Canada sanctioned event where the use of protective eyewear is mandatory. Junior Eye Guard Policy 1. That all juniors who are members in good standing of Squash Canada shall appropriately wear eye guards which are on Squash Canada's list of acceptable protective eyewear or are currently certified by the World Squash Federation, in any Squash Canada sanctioned events and on-court activities for which they receive funding from Squash Canada, or activities where they are members of Canadian team or Squad. 2. That pursuant to Professional Squash Association (PSA) Rule Book, Rule 6.4.1, Junior members are to abide by the rules of the national federation sanctioning a tournament with regards to eye guards. If the national federation deems it mandatory for juniors to wear eye guards then this rule will be upheld by PSA. as a national federation, Squash Canada, deems it mandatory for juniors to wear eye guards during PSA events held in Canada. Doubles Policy NOTE: As per the rules of both the North American hardball doubles and International Doubles the following is Squash Canada s policy for eye guard use for Canadian Doubles & Mixed Doubles Sanctioned Events. Approved protective eye guards meeting the ASTM designation F803 (Standard Specification for Eye Protectors for use by players of racquet sports) or are currently certified by the World Squash Federation must be worn properly over the eyes at all times during play in any Squash Canada sanctioned Doubles sanctioned event.
